Visited this restaurant with my superior for having snacks in the evening. Too much of crowd on that time. There is no seperate parking for this restaurant. You can park the vehicle on the road side itself. As it is too crowded place it is taking some time to deliver our ordered food item. My superior had a bav bajji and I had filter coffee β˜•. Nice smelling from bav bajji and the filter coffee was too hot and the aroma of the same is wonderful. Strongly recommend this restaurant for your hungry hours. You can also buy vegetables in the vegetable shop which is inside this restaurant.

I believe this is the first place that was started of this food giant. A very good place for family and friends with a great ambiance. They are maintaining the same quality as it was years ago. Located at the heart of Adyar. They have Cafe type settings on the first floor, and in the ground floor normal restaurant. Overall good experience and good staff.

As usual taste is fine... No complaints about the taste of kesari... But I don't think it's worth for the money... Other snacks we had was taste wise price wise ok. Ground floor bit congested and sounds like market... For us service was good. But nearby table were waiting for long time... Few employees enquired about the orders to them .... Still no one really took the order... Senior employees not so friendly with junior employees ( rude and shouting) .... Apart from this , as usual happy with the food.

Food taste remains as same as other A2B. But here service is pathetic. All suppliers are just standing simply and they delay every order.

NOTHING IS TOO BIG TO FAIL Mr . AAB owner. Adyar Ananda Bhavan, you are definitely on a downward spiral. AAB location :- Sastri Nagar Adyar Folks if you value your time, self respect and quality please stay away from this location. If possible from ever visiting Adyar Ananda Bhavan. Adyar Ananda Bhavan Used to be the place for top notch South Indian food and service Last few years it has been on downward spiral. Seems like a AAB competitor hiring their staff and setting them up to fail at the core level. Their staff doesn’t care about service or customer that visit their establishments. Felt like my family and I walked in to a rowdy establishment. Their outlet manager Saranya jayaraman, unfit to hold any kind of job. If the AAB really care about customers input/complaints they should review the CCTV footage and see the unwelcoming body language and rude gestures from Saranya Jayaraman. She does not belong in the service industry. Will never visit this location .. pass my unpleasant experience in AAB with my friends and family both in India and US. This place is a dump.. STAY AWAY

Place has opened up for dine in, chat and groceries. They use to have this nuzzling crowd in the evening for their evening tiffen and chat. That's seems a lot less. Ample car parking, its on a vacant plot before the place, so don't struggle by turning directly into A2B. Their sweets are good variety, but the chat has lost his charm. They used to have the best Curd based chats, now they douze the entire dish in sweet curd.

Ground floor serves only mini meals and South Indian snacks. We went to the 1st floor, ordered mini meals, mushroom pepper fry and palak paneer. Great taste of the food, good ambience, fast service. If you want to have good meal and are short on time, it's a good place to visit.

Food taste usually good, but this morning I found hair in my ghee roast and when told to the waiter he was being so casual about it and moved to the next table to take the order. This is absolutely preposterous and unacceptable behavior from the staff

Staffs work very mechanically... Had ordered sweets when waiting for our dinner... While eating staff came and asked for bill amount... Happened to wash my hands inbetween to pay bills for sweets... Staff told, there is time slot for bill generation and payment and must pay within that time... But very uncomfortable rule... Totally A2B loose in customer satisfaction

These guys serve good food here. The ambience is very good. The staff is polite and the hospitality is very nice. They talk in your preferred language and make you fell comfortable. They also suggest food if you are confused which one to have;). They are very quick in serving also, doesn't take ages to serve unlike other popular restaurants. The hotel is situated just beside the main road near a junction and is easily noticeable. These people serve pure vegetarian food. The parcel service is also very good. The response time is awesome for any food item with respect to parcels. I suggest this restaurant any day.

Located in busy Hotspot on the adyar beach road..this place is always crowded as it's one of the top tier veg restaurants around.. Food is real yum but the waiting time is too much...even for take aways let alone getting a table. They have good varieties of sweets, chats, Indian and well as Chinese cuisines..I especially love their chole bature and coconut poli. They do have few special options like curd vada but they get sold out in the early hours. Good place and ambience for a family meal.

  • 3/5 Sentamil S. 2 years ago on Google
Even if the restaurant is not crowded you can order only after 10minutes since all tge servers will be busy not knowing what they are doing. Apart from this as usual veg dining with less portion food which are over priced. Must try is their FILTER COFFEE.

  • 3/5 Priyanka C. 3 years ago on Google
Food quality is really good and even the service is good. But for the cost, the quantity is not really upto the mark. The mini tiffin is like a super mini one and isn't really enough for one single person.😐

A2B. Good shop for sweets and savory. But check out if they are fresh by saking for sample to eat. Some times it could be two days old. They may stare for asking sample for more than two items. But it is your money and taste buds. So have sweet days.

No clear indication of parking lot, no valet also. After we go in, we were greeted with unclean tables that were let to dry and flies flying around. They took very long to clean the tables and even longer to take the order. Worst breakfast experience! Wonder why, If they cannot manage chains of restaurants why open so many with such poor service. So much manpower sorting already sorted vegetables, while other customers have an agonizing wait for their food. Poor service.

I was told this is where it all started. First A2B was started here and now has footprint across Tamil Nadu, India and around the world. I am still a fan of A2B, but feel they need to work on quality & consistency. The onion Utthappam I ordered was half-cooked and wasn't tasty. Even the 'filter coffee' left lot to be desired. A2B - Time to buckle up.

This place has A2B Vegetable shop, sweet shop and restaurant. I did purchase at the vegetable shop where the prices are higher than Thiruvanmiur Market. We can get fresh fruit and vegetables here also found a juice corner. Sweetshop is as usual, but no karams available on display. Only available in packed . No restrooms and only hand wash is available at ground floor.

The Taste is very good. They have AC dining in the top and non AC dining in the ground. There are few new items they have added like veg momo, veg pizza. My favourite is chola batura. Chenna masala side dish is really great. Hot and sour veg soup is really really awesome, I never tasted like this before in any restaurant.

Went in for an early breakfast while on a trip. The food delivery was fast and hot as well. Quick service. Nice and clean. There was a separate customer restroom which was clean. Only one restroom each for men n women. Not a great ambience. Overall if you want to eat a quick BF, lunch or dinner at decent rates with decent ambience, this would be a good place to go.

This particular A to B situated next to bata My honest review one of the worst a to be available we usually visit this place twice a week yet there as been no improvements or any cautions taken even after we complainted about various issue first fall the service is the worst service they have ever seen secondly the payment in this modern world when every single small scale vendor having Google pay with them and using them these people here is no Google pay when we ask them by there is no Google pay they came up with silly reasons saying that network issues wear and we check the network the network was high mbps even after complaining to the manager the manager did not take any actions very saying and concluding that worst experience of a to b and even now I don't see any improvement the waiters are very rude as well as the managers pathetic

The food is amazing. I had North Indian thali which is more than sufficient for 1 person. There's usually a waiting at lunch time there but you can get a table easily. The servers understand Hindi too which was a major advantage for me.

  • 4/5 Ram B. 1 year ago on Google
This is a review of the upstairs "air conditioned" dining area. The seating is primarily designed for parties of 4. The food was good and service was generally good too. The meal service in particular was attentive and great. The exception was deserts and beverages which took a frustratingly long time to be served. Coffee shouldn't take 20 minutes, especially on a Monday afternoon. We were told these take longer because they need to be brought upstairs, which is odd. Overall good place for an economical, filling meal.

  • 3/5 Chandrasekaran S. 1 year ago on Google
Food is good here. But service is very poor. We were waiting to get table for 30 minutes and none of the staff bother to help. We ordered dosa but it was not hot. Asked for side dish but it did not come. As already mentioned taste is fine but if you expect good service this is not the place especially in the weekend when it is crowded.

Firstly, I'm a big fan of Adyar Ananda Bhavan. We search for your outlet whenever we head out for a quality meal. But today's experience wasn't a very pleasant one. My friends and I had come for breakfast. The service wasn't very polite. The server was slightly irritated with whatever we asked. Also, I wanted to know why coffee/tea wasn't part of the mini tiffin order. Also, why aren't any options provided like horlicks or any other beverages. As a customer I would like to have other options.

  • 4/5 saurabh c. 9 months ago on Google
The place is pretty crowded on the ground floor. If you want a quiet Atmosphere to enjoy with family then head to the first floor. It's quaint and quiet and away from the hustle bustle. This outlet is near the Adyar Bus depot and is a quick 2-3 minute walk from here. It's a perfect spot to chill after a bus travel or just chill after a busy day. On weekdays the ground floor is crowded but the first floor isnt. I ordered the cheese pavbhaji which was a bit low on quantity but tasted good. The lemon soda was also good. Overall a good experience.

Good food but separate billing for chat, savoury really sucks sometimes! Also swiggy prices are hiked by the restaurant if we order from A2B outlets,so that’s a big downside!

  • 5/5 Radhika N. 8 months ago on Google
Visited today and it’s my second time. We ordered for mini lunch called as mini meals. A huge hall welcomes you where with dividers you find seaters to sit. Table service is so fast and on time, that the time gap between order and service is just minutes. My order had one Poriyal, kalandha saadam, curd rice, sambhar rice, pickle, pappads and sweet. The counter is for takeaway besides they sell yummy sweets and savouries while a/c hall is inside. There is a separate counter to collect takeaways and I loved their simple well lighted ambience. A place to stop by in MG road at Adyar.
