An Italian restaurant with ambience and quality at an entirely different level. Every dish is prepared with great details and the presentation deserves a 6th star. The taste needless to say is out of this world!

Ottimo has always felt like a little slice of Italy on my plate, but also in my heart. Their heavenly Sunday brunches - how exquisite on the plate and how royal they make you feel. Among other things, Ottimo’s Tiramisu is one of the best of its kind and is a must-have if you happen to be at the restaurant. Chef Zubin Writer and his excellent team leave no stone unturned in making your meal special!

A great option if you are looking for non-Indian food while in town. On the expensive side, but both the food and service were very good. I had the caprese salad to start. All of the components tasted fresh with a nice balance between the pesto and balsamic glaze. The parmesan crisp on top was a perfect addition. The main course I had the crab ravioli. The pasta was made and cooked perfectly, will plenty of crab filling The bisque base was also well seasoned and taste. I would recommend for a nice change if in town.

Those who are real lovers of Italian & European cuisines can opt for Ottimo Cuciana Italiana,ITC Grand Chola ,Chennai. One of the Perfect &Top Italian Restaurant in India. World -class food 👌.Here we get all types of Authentic Italian & European foods. Ingredients which they use for the food are all imported from Italy & other countries. Loved "Welcoming"us when we visited the Ottimo restaurant. Posh restaurant, best for evening dining.Good ambitience from staff, light English music 🎵🎶 gave relaxation to us when we had food. We visited for the engagement anniversary occassion on 27 th August. Had Italian breads ,Ottimo special Pizza 🍕, Ravioli Prawn Pasta with creamy white sauce. Pasta was really Awesome .

I visit this place every year and never fails with the quality of food, hospitality and the ambience . While you find this expensive but the overall experience is a luxury. I have always gone ahead with their set menu and each dish is unique and tasty. The reason i dint give 5 stars is because there is bit of a delay in service. If you are ordering a set menu of 5 dishes it can easily take you 2.5 hours from the service to completing your food. Have I forgotten to mention their breads for appetisers? They are the best with the tomato and basil pesto. This is a place that you can enjoy with your spouse, partner, friends and your family

Best Italian food I’ve had in all of India. We’re regulars at the ITC Group and this was one of the best experiences we have had. Chef Zubin is a Masterchef and with his team fulfils every request. The spaghetti Bolognese and the Crab Ravioli leaves my mouth watering till now. The Pizzas are also done to the point. Highly recommend this place. Book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

The restaurant is very cosy and more or less full for dinner time. Menu is elaborate. They serve freshly baked bread platter which is really good. I had ordered vegetarian pasta and some garlic bread . Pasta was good with rightly cooked and sauce was balanced. Garlic bread is OK.

Luxury can be understated or it can be opulent. Ottimo Cucina Italiana has the understated variety that it wears with confidence and élan that comes from a very strong foundation in food, overseen by Chef Zubin Writer, who puts a little bit of his soul into every dish that goes out of his Cucina. He possesses an instinctive genius that no books can teach. Ottimo’s clarity is in its rather muted decor of beige, cream, marble and wood, allowing the colours from the food to take centre stage, in a brilliant stroke in design. All design fascination fades into the background with the first look at my plate. Asparagus Panna Cotta. There are two stems. One green and the other white. There’s pine nuts and specks of the very precious Umbrian black truffle that make all the difference in a master dish. Prosecco precedes the Potato Nest to cleanse the palate. The nest itself, topped with salmon roe among other things. It simply disintegrates in the mouth. I delay the palate cleansing for a bit, as I want my taste buds to enjoy the extravagance for a little longer. Lobster Confit, chorizo espuma - imagine that! There’s more. This masterpiece has homemade cagliata and is topped with a green crisp made using the firm textured Carnaroli rice and spinach. Stuffed morel, with tender pea mash and cream topped with porcini mushroom dust. All ingredients come together like magic with porcini adding a small hint of umami. Finally, I come to the magical Tiramisu and simply have to follow it with a few small sips of Limoncello Di Capri. This food wins hearts via the taste buds. This is not a place for a quiet romantic dinner. Ottimo is almost always packed to capacity.

This has been our go to place for special ocassions. The service is top notch, as always. They have an impressive wine and whisky list for connoisseurs, all the way to Rs.88000 for a pour (30 ml), obviously I skipped it 😀 We had the 5 course, bespoke veg and non veg options. It was excellent, each of the dish was well made and presented as expected. The octopus Salad on offer was not to my liking, could be due to my ultra sensitive smell. The chef Zubin was kind enough to come to our table and offer an alternative. However I refused, as I felt it very well could have been my love / hate with sea food. However he did insist me to try the duck ragout with pappardelle pasta (instead of the crab ravioli), and that hit the spot. We were waited on by Abishek, who was very polite, attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. The birthday cake for my wife was a league above anything we ever tasted, either in India or abroad. Overall a perfect 10/10, do go on a weekday for a better and unhurried experience .

Let's start with the best. Excellent service, waiters are more than happy to serve. Hospitality is beyond par as expected in a 5 star hotel. Disclaimer: I am vegetarian and I am only reviewing the veg food. Food was good but can be better considering the price. They can definitely include more options like pesto which was missing in the menu, I'm sure they can make it on request but it would be nice to see a pesto dish curated by the chef on the menu. The atmosphere is great and the tables are spacious so there is no disturbance from fellow diners. However, lighting is on the dimmer side which makes photography complicated. It would be nice to see better lighting just on top of the tables at least so it looks well lit. Worth the money? Not sure. Definitely not one a one of a kind experience.

The taste is authentic Italian and you may feel bland if you are used to our indianised Italian restaurants. Quantity is a little less for a fixed 4 course menu. Costs 2700 per person including taxes.

Ottimo Cucina in Chennai is moved inside the Pan Asian restaurant (due to COVID?). Also a very limited menu. I remembered being delighted last time I went there. This time it was underwhelming. The soup was the best. Rest, I'd call 'interesting' at the best. None of them called out to me and did not make me want to go back! I'll definitely try once the full service is back and then decide if I should come back or drop it off my list. At almost 3,500₹ per head, (without alcohol) it better deliver on at least some stuff!

Not for those light wallets. But to be expected. Amazing food and a great choice of wines from all over the world. Is the food worth it, depends on individual palates nd tastes. Must visit for an Italian food lovers though. Ambience is not eye popping but very sombre.

This is as good as italian cousin can get. The ambiance has a nice Italian vibe to it and and the staff there are very friendly. The food served there is perfection, trust me when I say it can't get better than this. If you are going for brunch, the whole course is laid out in proper order and the food is brought to right when you want it. You can also choose to get champagne to celebrate an occasion, or go for a lovely bottle of vine, the selection is vast and will satisfy your taste buds. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. This is definitely one of the finest dining experiences I've had.

Had a terrible experience. Non-Veg was served to 3 of us even though we had ordered Veg. Only after having it we realized it wasn't vegetarian food. Nothing was done about this and they did not even acknowledge their mistake.

Amazing dinner at Ottimo. Very authentic Italian dishes. The pizza and pasta we had were really outstanding. The service was very courteous and prompt. All in all made for a wonderful evening!

Slightly overrated. The pizzas are good, not great, can skip if you are looking for something exceptional (Tried the burrata for veg, and chicken for non veg). The sauces in both the lamb kidney risotto and the veg half and half ravioli were the stars, hearty and flavourful. Tiramisu was good, and the tuiles were a nice touch. Generally service was good, but food arrived slowly. Expect not to be dissatisfied, but not blown away either, IF you order ala carte

We came here for a Sunday brunch and the 7-course meal that was dished out was exquisite. Perfect for a lazy Sunday and I strongly advise you to come here with an empty tummy and good appetite. You wont be disappointed! Menu seemed endless and the quality of the food was beyond excellent! Great hospitality and service provided by Mr Jonathan, Mr Anil and Ms Debory. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience a 5-star authentic Italian food!

Most disappointing experience of an ITC restaurant. Bad service, food was also nowhere near standards. For the price you pay, you expect top class experience. Simply disappointing!

It's a perfect Italian restaurant in ITC Grand Chola. Lovely ambience and aroma of Pizzas being baked would take you to another world. Delicious pasta and other dishes would certainly give satisfaction to the core. Gelato ice cream will keep you fresh. Try once.

I was impressed with ITC while visiting Pan Asian so wanted to try Ottimo Cucina Italiana for my birthday. I tried their seven course bespoke menu with red wine. The experience was top notch and duck ragout tasted delicious where the pasta was made in house. I was little disappointed with the pizza other than which it was a great dining experience.
