Serene. ✨ Didn't expect such a spot right in the heart of the city. Opposite to the airport. Must visit. It's better for girls to go in a group. There's a temple at the top. The topmost point is not open for visitors as there's some govt office there.

There are two routes to go up the forest. One is by walk from the Balamurugan Temple and the other route is where you can take your vehicle along by road but it is not advisable to go by big SUVs since the streets are narrow. You can go till the Airport view point and the forest is restricted. There's a police station on top. An aerial view of the city can be seen from here.

I actually could bot believe we have such a beautiful hill in Chennai. This gives a whole new vibe when you visit. You could see a nice airways, roadways and railways in a single frame from this place. Perfect to visit in morning. On sunday mornings you could see lot of cyclist peddling up the hill.

The blissfulness of this place is contagious, you will lose yourself to the silence of the hill and the rustling of the leaves. After treking to the top of the hill, sitting beneath the shade of the trees is mesmerizing. Worth the climb!

It was such a fun experience. Me and my friends went cycling there and cycled to the top. The view up there and weather there was really good. If you live in Chennai and want to go on a short trip with your friends or family go here in the morning. Many people run up and down the hill or cycle up and down as excersie here. Cycling up was quite a task, but coming down was so fun, it was like playing a driving game where all u had to do was press brake or turn.

Tried my hand today at the weekly Friday Pallavaram market for the 1st time being staying so close-by. Worth going as most of the retailers prefer to buy their weekly groceries from there.

Nice lil trek🚶‍♂️ between thirisoolam and pallavaram station 🚋. You've both stairs for walking as well as roads for riding. Though u cant reach the top of splitter 🗼which is guarded by police👮‍♂️, u can always find little kids, women, couples, old people to athletes, gym people who exercise regularly. U will also find murugan temple 🕍in the mid way which is open during festive seasons like thai poosam etc. Overall it's a nice place to feel the sun rise 🌤

Pallavaram Forest is a very nice place to stay. It's very calm and peaceful locality. You can visit here at Winter season you will feel the breeze.one more highlight is here you can find all religious living with peace.

Best time to visit early morning. Chill climate. Some people come there for sports practice like jogging sprinting uphill. The road path is good, you can drive upto top and park your bike or car but there's not enough space. Park at your own risk. You can't go top of hill, because it's restricted. And it's enough to see best view of sunrise, Chennai airport, some other hills, city top view. There's few stray dogs that need not to be worry about that.

Beautiful place. Nice viewpoint to see the airport below. Fresh air and a relief from the city pollution. People threw garbage here and there which is really a sore to the eyes.

Ceramic and mud pots and plates (all cooking utensils) 6. Dry fish 7. Pillow covers, bed cover, carpets, floor mats Things to avoid: All electronic items and furniture ( cross check the quality of these items before you buy) This market is open on only Fridays. The major problem you might face is with parking. Very hard to park your vehicles. Mostly we park on roads under risk

Awesome...you can see complete south chennai view in top of the hill. Initially it will be difficult to find the location since its placed in between residential homes..finding the road would be difficult..need to cross the railway gate to reach this destination if you are coming from airport. Better go to this place before 5 or 6pm

It is totally deserted up on the hill but has a fantastic view of the layout of Pallavaram , especially the airport. A great place to watch sunrise and sunset and also to enjoy a picnic, but carry your own food and water.

Best wacking area

Beautiful small hill with a 1km tar road. The initial access is through a small rough road dug up for drainage by the local residents and small stretch is used by the residents as dump and open toilet. Beyond that the stretch is beautiful and a nice place for a hill run, workout, yoga and even a cycle ride.

My youth was spent at Pallavaram foothills (Zamin Pallavaram). It was quite barren then with a dilapidated building at its top, which used to be the spot for many movie climax scenes. Location of SERC's Tower Reasearch Center on the top of the mountain & the stoppage of quarrying of blue metal brought about by High Court's order, spurred the Authorities to take some steps for greening it's slopes. Now it looks quite green and leafy during rains. Development of some recreational and leisure activities on the hill top would go a long way in making this a getaway spot for the City's weary, at least during the weekends. TNTDC can be the nodal agency.

Very good place, chill climate when I go. Went to periya Malai murugan temple. Don't see Google map. It shows wrong route. Bike and car will go to near to temple.

Even though it is one of the beautiful places in chennai providing scenic view of the city landscape and airport, it is not safe to go with women or families..

Safety is not there. Don't go alone. One of the best place to meditate. If you are on rainy days then mosquitoes may trouble you.
