Nice place ... To walk and spend time in the dawn and dusk...there is a walking track towards north and east sides of the lake.. lake is not that clean, but no odour . .. you can enjoy cool breeze...and bird chirpings

This lake is behind my apartments orchid springss. It's maintained by korattur lake association. Nice place for walk and mediation. Can clear the lake frequently. And people should keep keep it clean. Plastic entry should be prohibited. Deepening of the lake should be done regularly.

Few last remaining water bodies of Chennai! Needs to be protected from encroachments on the banks of the lake.

Main reservoir for in and around korattur, maintains waterbed at comfortable level.

Good place to spend time..have to be cautious with kids.childrens will be fishing there.

Good place for walkers...the only problem I noticed is easy access to cattles which obviously uses this place as washroom at will. So if you are planning to shed a few kilos by walking here you gotta be prepared to bear the stench...apart from its a safe place for all.

Good place for birding, was late around 11.00 am, still could see pelicans, grey and purple herons, purple moorhens, river terns etc

Korattur lake , located in North korattur, will make you feel that you are not in city which is full of traffic and noise. Recently it has been upgraded for walking and foot path, still it is unnoticed by Chennai people as it has been surrounded by buildings, and way for going to it is not easy

Once I enjoined swiming in clear clean water in 1978. Now Completely destroyed.

Best place for morning walks and cycling. People come with their cameras to shoot pics of birds and other stuff. Beautiful location.

Almost 650 Acre Lake inside Chennai City! But not properly maintained. Some sides of Lake encroachment taken place. Lot of hyanth and polluting the lake. Also during rainy season, even officials opens sewage line to Lake to drain water from nearby areas. It is a god's gift and request authorities to take precautions to save this beautiful lake

A good place for a bicycle ride in the evening. For solo travelers, I would recommend to plan your visit in a way that you return from there by 6pm.

Nice place and view but definitely need to be secured and restrict people from using this place for drinking alcohol and peeing, making this place worst and bad.

There is no lake anymore. People says there were a lake. But now its like a marshland. When it's raining there will be water. But it will drain immediately. There is no walkways. No parking. Nothing. Just don't go there.
