Chetpet lake, cool & nice place to visit in chennai. At the centre of the city you can go walking,boating even fishing. Rs.25 per head as entrance fees for adults, Rs.50 per head for boating. Food court, aquarium, 3d theatre all you can enjoy there. For evening relaxation , birthday celebrations it is the right place. Sea food is famous there , parking is also there. Exciting thing is that you can go fishing, but its quite costlier they will provide fishing kit also, One sad thing is you should handover all fish to them what you catch.( 1 hour waiting i catched 1 fish only)all should try once if you go there.

Its awesome place for bird watching.

From dumpyard to a habitat place for more than a vareity of 22 different types of birds. This place is getting into shape and soon will be more beautiful area.

Peaceful place for a morning walk. Kids will love this place and will have a good time playing in the children's park with the ducks. We can even have a pleasant boat ride with our loved once.

A nice spot for boating, walking, jogging and angling. The water level has not risen very much despite copious rains. Can be easily reached by bus and local train.

Good place to relax in the busy and heavily crowded neighbourhood. Very much accessible by Bus, Local train, Metro or Taxis. Closest Metro stop is Nehru Park. And the closest Local train stop is Chetpet. Ega theatre is also at a short walkable distance.

Very very beautiful lake in hot centre of the city boating available even anniyan movie some sceens are shooted here. Entry fee is there around 25 rs Tamilnadu government renovated recently and very good for jogging around the park in this centre part is like an island with not covered with waters

A must visit place in Chennai City. Chetpet lake is a lake spread over 16 acres in Chetput, Chennai, India. It is located to the north of Chetpet railway station. It is the only existing lake at the centre of the city. The lake belongs to the Department of Fisheries of the Tamil Nadu government

we can see the birds.. animals etc..in the wall paintings :/ . lake looks clean, boat service is there..and one aquarium. 3d theatre etc there.. parking charge 15 Rs per/hr. lake entrance 25 rs for adults, 15 for childrens.

Very well maintained park with lake. Boating facility available. Pathway for walking, children's play area is very good. Restaurant is there n can have good snacks. Ample car parking available.

Lake inside the city with boating and fishing facility.( Didn't see anyone actually catch a fish though 😝) Calm and quiet in the evenings. Best visited around 3:30pm typically for about 2hrs there. There's nothing much to do otherwise and there's lack of adequate 'sheltered' places to sit. Can't access the entire place as only the "members of the walkers association" are allowed!😐

Very nice place for photo shoot and boating in chennai city for affordable price. But canteen cost was too expensive for pepole.

Best place to walk and fish in the city with clean environment. Infrastructures could be improved.
