Wonderful place to enjoy your stay in Potiskum. Entire guest inn has been upgraded with new a look and fixtures that makes it the best in and around Yobe State and Potiskum. Great friendly staff in serene environment close the shopping and entertainment. Enjoyed my stay....

A very good place to stay in Potiskum. It is generally clean and serene. The rooms are always clean, with fresh sheets and clean toilets. Fully air-conditioned, it always has electricity. The water heater is working, and the environment and location is good. The most obvious negative with this place is the restaurant. Here, I think the restaurant is managed by an individual. As a result, you have to wait for a long time to get indomie prepared, as you can only order a couple of meals.

Had the worse hotel experience of my life here. Got lodged in their standard room at 10k per night. No working heater, AC and intercom. I legit had to walk from the room to the receptionist in search of hot water to shower. The worse ever.

It's been cool around this hotel but they don't have swimming pool it would have been fun for me.

My first impression on getting into this facility was blank till I saw a kitten that shared some meows with me. It warmed my heart a little after the stress I just went through. Then next thing I know, a large bird walked past my gaze! It was a peacock! It's been a minute since I last saw one in person. It totally took my breath away! I tried to follow it to see if it could open up It's beautiful feathers but it was too late. I hope to see it in full glory before I leave. That being said, we were still yet to see the receptionist all this time. He finally turned up and then told us there was no rooms left. It was a call from his boss that made 3rooms available instantly. Long story short, my expectation was lit about the rooms since the compound was spacious and green. Plus pretty cute animals were all over. I can only say, my expectations weren't met one bit! I had to lay my own sheet (PS: I always travel with clean sheets for this purpose) on the bed cos I wasn't comfortable with the stained sheets. My room didn't look fresh and the paint on the walls are already peeling off. The fridge is dirty inside, I didn't check to see if it's working at all. It's sad to see places like this not maintained leading to dilapidation of the facility. They need to check these things to render better services to people. In other news, watch the video I've attached to see me begging to see the Peacocks glory. 😆

Language barrier, staff can't speak English, Bad Televisions, no access to essential news channels, poor Restaurant facilities, no gym, no laundry services, small rooms not well cleaned. ED: I stayed for almost 6 months, had space to run around exercising daily. There is potential to make it a great place if the owners are willing and it doesn't take a lot of money to do so.
