After a long travel day, we were starving. We stopped into the wrong entrance, the tavern side, because the front door was locked. We went through the kitchen and finally found our table. Our table already had water set; a nice touch. The pretzels were great. Definitely recommend, also the house salad was great. I ordered the trout, but all of our food was amazing. The fries and steak looked great and was reasonable for market price. I would definitely come back!

I enjoyed a delicious brunch with friends this weekend. The pace was relaxed and our server was attentive. My Eggs Benedict with salmon was great. During brunch the coffee is available in a French press and they have a nice selection of bar and coffee drinks. Well worth the splurge!

We came here for dinner after a long day of travel and it was great. We all enjoyed the pretzels as an appetizer and then I got the gnocchi as an entree. The food tasted amazing and the portion sizes were plenty. I would recommend stopping in!

We came here with my parents on Black Friday for dinner. We were excited to see a more upscale restaurant open in Gettysburg and wanted to try it out. The service and drinks were excellent! Though the meal was overall good, we thought that it was overpriced for the quality. Sadly, we weren’t impressed with the food, everything we tried was just a little bit off for us. We thought the pretzel buns were a little too sweet, the crab & hashbrown royale had too much cream topping, the risotto with the scallops was a little bland, etc. Since the restaurant is still new, we’ll probably come back in a few months to try it again and see if the food has improved.

I've been there three times now and every time was enjoyable. The bar gets kind of loud, and the food and drinks are top-notch. I had a really good steak frites the first time we came. We have also enjoyed some of the seasonal apps. Chicken liver mousse was excellent. Smoked old fashioneds are on point. I haven't had anything yet that I didn't enjoy.

This was the second time coming to this restaurant. We sat at the bar and as it was a Friday evening, they were pretty busy. We were acknowledged when we sat down but it took several minutes to order a drink. (2 bartenders working) I had a Pinot Noir and my husband had the Ploughman Cider sangria. Both were good. For a starter I ordered the olives. This was a mix of your standard olive selection; kalamatta, green, etc...marinated with herbs. No bread in which to offset the salt. Disappointed that someone didn't think that was necessary as it helps clean up the palate and again offsets the salt. They did pair well with the wine. My husband had the burger and said it was "okay" and nothing spectacular. I had the Parisian Gnocchi that included hazelnut and some greens. Imagine my surprise when the Gnocchi was served deep fried(?) and sitting in so much oil that the hazelnut and greens became tasteless. I get that they're still fairly new and are trying, but I think I'll wait a while before coming back again to eat there. I would go back for drinks as their wine selection is good and the staff was kind and professional.

Highly recommend; had an amazing dinner with my parents while in town. The atmosphere was lovely—easy to have a conversation and super comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great (fast and attentive). Definitely will visit again when in Gettysburg.

Had a nice Sunday brunch here, and went back a couple weeks later for a birthday dinner. We ordered the frites and aiolis, trout, scallops, and sorbet for dessert. The trout in particular was outstanding - and the Idle Hour Drink special was perfect. Our table was clean and the restaurant atmosphere/vibe is beautiful and comfortable. We will be back, and look forward to trying their happy hour next!
