The duck platter is delicious. It is tender and moist. The pistachio soup is good as well. The fish is good too. It has a lot of herbs. It's cooked perfectly. The server is polite and friendly. The restaurant is so clean and the interior is so fancy. The restroom is very clean. There are a lot of nice wine options

Most importantly: this is an upscale halal restaurant in the area. Too often in this area, Middle Eastern or North African restaurants inspired by our cultures serve food that people from those areas (majority Muslims) can't even eat. It's wonderful that they are inspired by our cuisines or that Arab chefs are gaining recognition, but the least bit of authenticity requires a reasonable selection of halal/dhabiha menu options. Joon offers that. Lamb meatball appetizer was delicious. Fesenjoon was good but rice to meat ratio was slightly off (although the fesenjoon itself was spectacular). Tea with rock candy was great. Rose ice cream was phenomenal. It took a while to be seated and I would have appreciated being guided to the couch a bit earlier. Decor and atmosphere was wonderful. Waiter was respectful, friendly, helpful. Highly recommend.

My half Persian wife and my chinese a$$ loved this place! They offer free valet service and there is parking towards the left (not towards Tiffany’s & co). The restaurants design is elegant and cute… but let me tell you about our food… BOMB DOT COM! At one point we just stopped talking and just worked. I mean Persians are not known for their fish but wow! The beef “kabob” was juicy. The meat balls were light and full of flavor. The cucumber pomegranate salad is a must (I don’t even like salads). The service was good as our server was very personable and make good recommendations. Our drinks came after our apps so that threw me off slightly but besides that I was happy. Let’s just say that they saw the feedback about their service so they are checking on you every 15 mins. Excited to bring my father in law and my coworkers to check it out.

Been to Joon twice, once with a big group to check out their a la carte menu when they first opened and today for the unlimited small plates for brunch at $45 per person. 10/10 both times. The dishes and drinks beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our favorite brunch dishes were the Persian Cheese Omelette, chicken and lamb kabobs, fried shrimp, batata harra, and mast-o-musir. Also the Joon French Toast was phenomenal!! The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous and they have friendly service. Loved the Gol-e Lilly and Tequila Anar cocktails. Valet was included and they were quick and attentive. You can tell they put a lot of hard work and thought into opening this restaurant and keeping the menu exciting. We will be coming back for more with the Persian New Year being just around the corner!

Joon in Tyson's Corner offers a luxurious hospitality experience that truly embodies the essence of Persian cuisine. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with first-class service and a warm atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Joon showcases the diverse flavors of Iran, from seafood dishes sourced from the Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf regions to tantalizing lamb and duck specialties. Each dish is a masterpiece, carefully crafted with a blend of herbs and spices that reflect Iran's rich culinary heritage. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying the Qaliyeh Mahi with Mahi fish, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The Kabob sandwich was also a delight, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and authentic preparation techniques. To top off the meal, I indulged in saffron ice cream, a decadent treat that perfectly balanced sweetness with the subtle aroma of saffron. After lunch, my companions and I enjoyed a game of Backgammon, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. The restaurant itself is chic and spacious, making it the perfect venue for hosting special events like weddings or corporate dinners. Overall, Joon offers a truly exceptional dining experience that celebrates the beauty and complexity of Persian cuisine. Whether you're craving seafood delicacies or hearty meat dishes, Joon is sure to impress with its impeccable service and unforgettable flavors.

Dishes were all prepared well. Unique flavors balancing savory duck and brown sauce with fruity sourness of pomegranate. Duck was tender Baba Gaboush was smooth and lightly smoky. Service was excellent. Louis at the bar was fast and friendly.

Went for lunch in a Friday. Complementary valet is a plus even at lunch! Good drinks from the bar. Nice eggplant appetizer and a bug platter of kabobs. The rice is different and you get to choose which type you want. The sour cherry rice is what we had and it was nice.

Went to join tonight and had a great time. Food was fantastic. Got the lamb meatballs, pistachio soup, ribeye kebab, duck in pomegranate sauce and the love cake + tea service for dessert. Everything was FANTASTIC. The flavor profiles trend toward sweet and sour which is a real punch in the palate in a good way! Nothing was bad, and I was happy with all the food. The waitstaff were very nice but the only issue was the service. It felt like they were understaffed tonight and it took 5-10 min for a waiter to come over and introduce themselves. The food pacing was also off. The drinks we ordered came after the apps were finished and cleared. The kitchen misunderstood an order to replace the basic rice that came with the mains with the sour Cherry rice so we just ended up with an extra rice portion which was just too much - the waiter admitted the error and it was comped which was nice. Finally the tea came out 10 min after the dessert which felt like a missed opportunity to pair the tea with the dessert. Overall the pacing issues were small and the food was absolutely fantastic so we will be going back soon! Go with a group, then you can try more stuff!
