This was a really interesting and informative tour and our guide was very animated and in character. It gave a good in-depth story of one family’s experience through the war, the battle, and life afterwards. There were also lots of cool artifacts on display that were found during renovations of the house. Military discount was appreciated as well!

Very well maintained historic home. We took the Christmas tour. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We felt like we were actually in 1860 experiencing Christmas with the Shrivers.

This was my second trip to The Shriver House Museum, and it was even lovelier than my first. Miss Ora is one of the most passionate storytellers I have encountered, her passion and love for not only the entire history but the Shriver family themselves is nearly tangible. My favorite museum in Gettysburg, my entire family loved it! Thank you so much Miss Ora for the amazing experience.

Tour was nice and I liked the history behind the house. The tour guide was informative. I would have liked to explore a little on our own rather than being crowded into each room.

Visited the Shriver House 7/3/23. Worth a visit while in Gettysburg. The information of the happenings during the battle & how the battle affected the residents is described. Street parking or within walking distance depending on your stay.

Such a wonderful experience all around! Gail, our guide, was friendly, funny, super knowledgeable, and was very patient with us while we soaked up the rooms during the tour. It was obvious a lot of high quality effort was put into reconstructing the rooms to how they looked before, during, and immediately after the battle. We learned a ton. Excellent gift shop, as well! We were happy to snag a few goodies to further support the house. It was a pleasure to visit and immerse ourselves in the well- crafted and intricately researched Shriver House! I highly recommend visiting, patronizing, and keeping their history alive!

Great museum that focuses on the experience of the townspeople. A guide takes you through the home and tells the story of the Shriver family that lived in the home at the time of the battle. The house has undergone impressive renovations. Great museum.

My favorite historical tour in Gettysburg. Had a great tour where they went into detail on the Era and room set ups. Probably the most informative tour.

We were looking forward to coming here for quite some time and we were not disappointed! Very interesting and educational about a family’s personal experience during the battle. If anything, I wish there was time for more questions, but a great experience overall.
