This location is pretty huge and have many activities to do.. I definitely enjoy taking my child to go swimming,as he is learning the basics and getting familiar with the pool..my only complaint is, the female instructor will come and rudely/abruptly,move the sign and start a swim class directly where you are. My child can only go from 1foot to 3"6 ft.. and she will come and start a class directly in the space where my child can only swim. Which in turn, cuts our swimming time short and it becomes unenjoyable..Not cool.no heads up or anything.

The facility itself is definitely awesome, along with the programs that are offered. However, the daycare staff along with some of the front door staff have disappointed me. I am a member and was robbed while on the premises and the staff were not helpful at all. Along with a small child, I was left without the keys to my car and credit cards b/c someone stole it from the lockers inside. For now on, I will put a lock on the locker, yet if you have gone to this location, not putting a lock on your locker with your belongings inside is not something new. The members and even the staff have expressed they’ve left their items plenty of times and they’ve gone untouched. Yet, when the unthinkable does eventually happen, as a member who pays monthly, I expect some sort of empathy, investigation, just simply some help. Especially since I was with my two year old. But no, I did not receive that. Instead, Ashley Fonk(director) informed us her shift was about to end and to “simply” call the police. Any other time, Ms. Fonk is aggressive and adamant about everyone scanning in or being accompanied at all times by the member holder, yet this crime happened. My daughters father is constantly harassed by her and the gentleman who works alongside her about whether he has scanned in when in fact he has. Yet the criminals were just allowed to be inside with no scan, or being accompanied by a member holder. I am concerned also b/c when I asked about surveillance, I was gaslighted since cameras aren’t allowed in the locker room. I’m not unintelligent, and know full well the law and that cameras are not allowed inside the locker room. I was clearly begging for some assistance in investigating the best way possible. But of course did not receive that kind gesture. It also makes me worry as to how the daycare is being surveillance since no one checks for identification of the pick up person for the child. Very nonchalant as if the world did not witness several mass shootings recently. Ms. Fonk was long gone, without a care while my daughter, her father and I waited outside for police to generate a police report and wait for a tow truck.

New, clean and well maintained exercise equipment in a friendly atmosphere. Nice pool! Up until the pandemic, there were many fitness classes available throughout the week. Now there are fewer, but I still look forward to attending the ones I can and hope more are added as the risk decreases. In the meantime, I also appreciate the virtual classes on offer.

I am enjoying my visits to the Y! We have a family membership and it is a great way to grow healthier together as a family. We especially enjoy swimming during the Family Swim time! My girls also enjoy the playground that offers a clean, supervised, outside, play environment with a variety of levels of play for all ages.

It’s nice that classes and pool access are included in your membership but if you don’t use them it’s pretty expensive compared to other gyms. Also a lot of kids come thru here, playing on the equipment, literally sleeping on the yoga mats so others have to use the dirty floor. Staff do nothing about it. They also replaced their stair stepper and now it doesn’t have solitaire anymore 😠

My daughters love playing on the basketball court and swimming in the indoor pool during family swim, and the lifeguard was super nice tonight...but we were a bit late out the door, and an older man at the desk acted completely inappropriately toward us, presumably because we made him late for NCIS Hawaii or whatever.

My husband and our kids always enjoy visiting the Y. Kids get to enjoy the pool all year round and it's almost never crowded for the new year like other gyms and that's always a plus.

Just joined first night. Schedule for the day says family swim starting at 7pm. 7pm family change room closed for cleaning, so take two small girls into men's locker room, get to pool, sorry they say, schedule is wrong no family swim. Only 5 old ladies in the opposite side of the pool, whole other side no one but no swimming for members! You gotta do better, this is org 101.

Love the Y. Its super close to my home. They have new and modern machines and the staff are helpful and friendly. I look forward to going there. I also appreciate the self guided workout so that they help you connect with during your first visits. I use it everything I go to the gym and it helps me to teach my fitness goals and stay motivated.

Just joined the Y last week and I've been a few times. It's very clean with working equipment. The staff is very nice! There are lots of treadmills and other cardio machines, as well as a big weight-lifting section. Haven't tried the pool or basketball court yet, but I'm looking forward to soon! It definitely feels like an upgrade from the Planet Fitness I was going to.

We’ve held multiple events here! There’s a bi-annual wellness expo, wellness walks and inner-generational safety audit walks.

Great venue for the start/finish of the annual Y in Central MD Turkey Trot in Baltimore. Fast downhill for the first mile followed by flats in the lake area and a mostly uphill last mile towards the finish line. Parking for participants and spectators nearby. This Y location, like others in the area, is quite spacious. Good for fitness equipment, with pool and youth ball fields.

been my go to gym even though i live so much further away than other YMCAs. Love the new renovations and their equipment. staff have always been very friendly and attentive. Community members are helpful in a great way. Wish they made more space between the bench area, but that's okay. Definitely need to update their mens sauna, feels like a safety hazard.

There is a variety of activities for young, middle-aged, and seniors to participate in at the Y at a reasonable cost. That's what I like about my Y experience. Good for the community. The swimming program can sometimes be inconsisent.

We only went swimming but it looks like there are tons of things to do. We did have to wait out the storm that was passing by that was a bummer but the lifeguard (Dj Big Samy, I think the board said his name was) was really cool and I liked the way he interacted with the kids during family swim

The Waverly YMCA is on it! They fixed the loose sauna board in 1 day and it is a low ego place to get fit and have fun.

The only thing convenient about this location is that it is the closest one to me. They can’t seem to properly staff lifeguards in order to keep up with the appropriate schedule. They encourage so many people to apply myself included to help with very frequent “staff shortages” only for them to never reach out. The only thing that seems to have organization is to summer camp. I have to call several times to ask is certain areas are open because it seems to be a lack of communication with the staff when it comes to things going on. My kids are disappointed almost every time they come. I used to come every day now it’s once every two weeks. I’m considering canceling my membership it really is no point in having it when we can barely do anything there.

Community. Everyone I meet at The Y is great; friendly, engaging and caring, but best of all they’re my neighbors! Knowing that live in a community with good people is very reassuring. The facilities are nice too and well taken care of.
