Dr. Austin is new to the clinic (2022), but she is the BEST. Honestly, everyone there is wonderful. The front desk staff are kind and helpful, there is virtually no wait to be seen, the techs and support staff are SO NICE and wonderful with the animals, and Dr. Austin is the only vet I will take my aging senior dog to not just because she's a fantastic vet, but she also takes the time to really know your pet. She remembers details and makes thoughtful, informed decisions at every step. I would gladly pay a small fortune for this level of care, but the rates here are surprisingly very reasonable! I am extremely happy with this practice and am so glad to have this level of care for my beloved Bumblebee. Plus, the facility is beautiful, its delightful to drive up and see healthy, happy farm animals, and the whole place feels like you're going to visit your local country vet...but add in modern amenities and technology! Truly a gem of a clinic.

I can’t be happier with this clinic. Dr Solomon is a wonderful, caring doctor that gives so much personal attention to his patients. The staff is great and very friendly. Prices are contained compared to other veterinary practices in the area. By far the best experience I have ever had with a veterinary clinic. Highly recommend.

Friendly, personable, and efficient service. The staff at Canal Clinic are very personable and take attention to detail. Doctor Taylor and Solomon are both excellent. The waiting room is good size and clean. The staff and doctors work seamlessly.

The staff at Canal Clinic have always been super helpful and professional, but recently we had some pet related trauma and Gretchen was incredibly communicative and responsive. She has been keeping me updated about my dog’s condition as he goes through surgery. I trust her and the incredible staff completely. Thank you all SO MUCH for seeing him on such short notice (I contacted them late at night and was able to get him in first thing in the morning!). Highly recommend!!!

Canal Clinic is an excellent veterinary practice with caring doctors and staff. Dr. Solomon diagnosed a heart condition that our previous vet overlooked buying us precious time with our dog—we are forever grateful. Dr. Taylor is excellent with our regular check ups and addresses every issue (no matter how small) seriously and with a solution-orientated approach. The front desk staff are always friendly and refill prescriptions readily. Our family will always trust Canal Clinic first and foremost.

Dr Solomon is such a caring vet. My aging dog recently was having a tough week and I was having a tough time dealing with it but he was super helpful and able to fit me in when I was very worried about my pet. This is our regular vet as well and it’s great for every day preventative care.

As always, Dr. Taylor and everyone at Canal Clinic took great care of our dog. I took her in with an eye infection yesterday, and she is starting to feel better already. I highly recommend Canal Clinic. They always fit us in quickly and are friendly and kind to our dog.

Dr. Austin is amazing and on a recent unscheduled visit was able to take care of my Boston Terrier quickly and get him feeling better. Wonderful, friendly, caring staff that really listens and values each pet as a unique situation.

Great experience with booking. My puppy went into great right before my appointment for her spay and they walked me through all the aspects, kept the appointment and explained everything. The day of they were great, checked us in, got her back, things went SUPER quick! They called around 1130 to tell me she was starting to wake up and u could come around 230-3pm. I drove back, grabbed her and they were all so kind. Her incision looked great and is healing super well!! Highly recommended!!

Canal clinic is the best vet office I’ve ever been to! They truly care about my dog, and I’ve never had a problem with scheduling or follow-through. All of their doctors are excellent, and appointments are on time and efficient. After having been to several offices in DC with less stellar experiences, Canal Clinic is more than worth the drive.

We brought Macho, our large staffy mix to be neutered, and everyone was great with him, he had an issue with medication and they were able to resolve it over the phone and prescribe some thing else. His procedure was easy as well as his recovery. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend.

My standard poodle was spayed there. I am very satisfied with the outcome. She was up and about in 2 days. The facility was clean, and the staff was very professional and friendly.

Love driving up to the "farm". Even BLU likes to walk the surroundings. The staff is always welcoming and will answer any questions. Dr. Taylor & her assistant spent a lot of time with a nervous, uncomfortable BLU. New Med added and reviewed BLU's exercise and weight issues. Very helpful and reassuring. Thanks.

A friend recommended Canal Clinic for our puppy's first visit to the vet. The vet technician started with putting our puppy at ease and the vet did a great job examining and administering the vaccines. All went well and we will be back in a month!

Canal Clinic provides excellent veterinary care and is one of the most affordable options in the area. They helped get my dog to a specialist to diagnose a GI issue and help me manage it now that we know what’s going on. They take such good care of my animals and I am really grateful.
