Very very basic place to stay. Host was very kind and helpful. Was not luxurious but you get what you pay for so for one night it was great. Felt like we were in a treehouse at summer camp.

Not recomend at all. Rooms are very basic DIY shacks with mosquito nets and a fan, very loud. They have two dogs barking and street with nonstop transport. Very expensive for such place.

Our stay at Julietas' hostel was really lovely! We are travelling by bicycle and could store our bikes in the back of the hostel, wash our clothes and use the kitchen which was well equipped for our needs. The room was rustic, comfortable and clean. Julieta herself is such a warm, sweet person, always with a smile on our face. We totally recommend staying with her, also as cyclists!

I had to have surgery while In Nicaragua, and Rex and Julieta looked after my bag while I was in hospital, then once I had left hospital I stayed with them for over a week while I recovered and they helped so much with my recovery. The hotel was lovely with comfy beds and was always clean. Can highly recommend 😊

Sep 2024 I stayed two nights with Juliet and Rex. Both were very helpful and Rex gave me a lot of solid information for Rivas and Ometepe and beyond. I liked there location as it was within walking distance to everything but not too close. The rooms are rustic but comfortable. For the price it’s hard to complain.

Just a stop in Rivas. Owner Juliet’s told me I should give her good rating. I told her I would decide. She made breakfast for me which was a mistake. My toast was burnt and I told her 200 was to much. She got mad and that is not good for me either. Her boy friend tried to smooth things over. She still looked ugly when I left. Went back to Rivas later and stayed at another hotel for half the price and found breakfast for the same. She is lucky to half Rex.

Basic accommodation at cheap price. We stayed for only one night before our bus out of the country.

Father daughter hostel. 2 of the nicest and most helpful people you can meet. Mike is a wealth of information for the traveler, Julieta totally proper and accommodating as a host.

The owner is very nice and the histel is clean. Unfortunately the church on the other side of the street is very loud, their noise started at 5am.

A small family run clean and very cheap hostel. I'd just crossed the boarder and was exhausted, book your buses in advance in December. Anyway, I got to this hostel, and despite having to wake everyone up, the staff there were really happy to see me. $10 got me a room for the night and the offer of food. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room was also super clean. There wifi and power outlets, American. The room I stayed in was a sort of makeshift one that had appeared to be built from the patio and a car port room. But I had curtians and was comfortable, secure and safe in it. It had a lock on the door and I had a key. Also they have a little dog that is the cutest. A toy poodle. the staff understand English and can speak some back, my Spanish is awful so this really helped. In the morning I had a nice shower, packed up my stuff and Juliet helped me by giving me directions to my next destination. Leon. I suppose this isn't for everyone, but as a backpacker this was awesome, always better than being in the street

Really friendly and accommodating people. They were welcoming of my 2 dogs, and they had me move my car so that it sat directly in front of their cameras for extra security. The room was cozy, and the bed was comfortable. I’m very glad that I stayed here.
