I went to see the model railway depicting the pre war northern line extension which despite being under construction pre war was abandoned in 1950's as the money ran out, the green belt was created and the expansion into suburbia was curtailed. The museum also looks at the heyday of the Elstree film studios. A lovely little museum run by people who care about their hobby and are happy to share their knowledge and experience..I will go again and hope to find out more about the area.

Lovely friendly staff in a cute little local museum above the library. Exhibits are refreshed every 6 months and it was quite interesting - especially as it's all done by volunteers. I'll say again, lovely friendly staff!

This place is run by the most lovely volunteers. We really enjoyed the old photos and model railway.

I am a trustee but I can honestly say our team of dedicated and talented volunteers enable our small museum to punch well above its weight.

Very well appointed library. Apart from books you can borrow tablets, use computers. But the highlight is a free mini museum of the local area. The exhibit that was on when I went was The Tube Line That Never Was.

A small bit wonderful museum filled with helpful and knowledgeable staff. The current exhibit on the Northern line extension that never happened was captivating and I'll be certain to return for future exhibits.

Lovely little museum but spoiled by the attendants chatting very loudly among themselves.

Learning about the forgotten station and various other interesting info about Borehamwood great credit to the people who help run this museum and keep it alive.

Brilliant little museum. A Holby City at 20 exhibition was on when we went. The two staff members were fabulous, very knowledgeable and friendly. We would to return at a later date for another exhibition.

Very interesting new exhibition about how Elstree studios were saved by a huge campaign. There's a great stage and screen where children can dress up and act in Star wars - film made at the studios and also film memorabilia.. Also interesting permanent exhibits about the locality. Its a very small space but packs in an awful lot!
