Enjoyed this 45 minute walk. Got to see the park, the Waterloo at sunset, the river, & cave. Inside the cave were skulls im convinced 💀💀💀 found on all trails called Waterloo cave trail! Definitely recommend!

Always a great place to go and enjoy the scenery and calm. I don't know if the fish are biting, but the trail is in great shape. The benches are awesome. And, there are kayaks available for rental use on the lake.

I loved it here! Wish there was a sign at the start of the trail to tell you where the cave is! We took the long way trying to find it. The trail was pretty awesome though so I didn't mind. There is a self serve kayak rental at the parking lot that includes the paddle & life vest. Will definitely be doing that next time!

First time here, great experience. Nice size lake with a well maintained trail. At first the trail is concrete and turns into dirt but nicely maintained. I would say it's fairly easy but about 30 mins around the lake if staying on the main trail. We saw a few other trail heads but stayed on the main path. Apparently there is a cave somewhere but we didn't venture that far. I think there's 7 miles of trails if you do them all but as I said we stayed on the main trail around the lake which I am guessing was about 2-3 miles, I'm just guessing. You can also fish and dock small non gasoline engines boats here but mainly small Jon boats or kayaks only with electric trolling motors. There's bass, crappie, catfish and trout to be caught. You can take the fish home but need a fishing license. There is a sign with bag limits near the boat ramp. This is a great place for a nice walk or jog, I believe you can ride bikes here also. I will be back.

Beautiful, clean, peaceful, long walking trails, cave, geese, pond, and a huge dog park right next to it! This park has it all ! There were many constructions around the pond when we visited, it was hard to see the whole area, but at least they care about the park and maintain it, so I still gave them 5 stars.

The Katy trial is nice but the trails and hills located across the paved trail near the lake is where it's at!! My husband and I call this place Little Ireland. It 2 hills that form this beautiful lush rolling hill that provides you with a secret flat picnic area neslted in the middle. And once you climb to the top of the bigger hill you get a beautiful view of the lake. The view it gorgeous 😍. We also love the unpaved hiking trials and the caves hidden among them. Has definitely replaced the Arbour Hills park in Plano as our favorite since moving here.

Excellent place for Trail and Family meetings. Enjoyed and loved the place. If you want to have some good trail during the weekend don't miss it. Other side of train was going inside the dense trees you will enjoy so much under the shelter of trees and waters.

Love this park! The length of the trail around the park is a perfect distance to get your steps in. Has little bit of everything. Kayaks you can rent, hear the fishing is good, wooded side to keep out of the sun, lots of benches to sit and rest, even a perfect one at top of the hill for sunrises and sunsets.

There are two sides to this park. On one side, you have the pond/lake with ducks, small playground, covered picnic area with several tables, canoe rentals (not often open), and a bathroom. Up the hill a little is a fountain with benches and uncovered picnic tables. If you love nature, a visit to this side is a MUST! You can hike all the way around the pond and through the woods. The first part is paved for anyone who needs accessibility. Then it turns into dirt paths for nature enthusiasts and bike riders When hiking through the woods you'll see all kinds of wildlife and if you go deep enough, you'll find a cave! This is one way you can get to the other side. Or you can take a short drive to another parking lot. The other side has a larger playground with swings and two fenced in dog play areas. It also has a foosball table, horseshoes, and a new addition of pickleball! This side also contains a bathroom, although it's not always open. If you want to have some activity time, this side is where you want to go. Come play pickleball with me!!

This place is good to bring your kids to. There is hiking trails, a fishing dock, a playground, and a cave. It is small, but it is fun to go to. There were no snakes when I went, but it was colder then. I don't know if there will be more snakes in the summer, but it's worth it. But lots of mosquitos.

Nice trails for hiking and mountain biking! I would say the trails near the cave are for the more experienced mtb riders. As summer gets closer, definitely use bug spray if you walk entire trail. If you wish to stay on cement or paved, there's plenty of that as well.

Wonderful place to hang out with the family. Rent kayaks, throw a Frisbee (not golf, though), go fishing, take a walk/hike, take your furry friend to the dog park (two sections: under vs over 30 lbs). Also, about 7 miles worth of fantastic mountain bike trails.

We took our dog to the dog park area whole traveling thru town. She had a great time and its a nice area, not big but shaded and near to town.

We visited the park while in the area for a few days. The walking and bike trails were awesome, and the park offered many amenities for visitors of any age. We will definitely be visiting when we are there to see our family in the area!

Beautiful hidden gem in Denison! This is all around my favorite hike park now. It's easy enough for small children and dogs, but also tough enough to get a great workout with the family. Beautiful scenery, and yes, we found trash along the way. However, we picked up everything we saw and threw it away, but it's not the parks fault that people suck. Do your part to help if you're able. Can't wait to come back and see more. In 2 hours we only saw a portion moving slow with a 4 year old, 11 year old, and 2 dogs. There are so many more trails to discover.

Great place to have a Fall hike and view some amazing birds and fall colors.. we saw couple of great blue herons, cardinals, lots of ducks and geese.

Went to lake side had a wonderful time feeding the ducks. We had lunch at pavilion next to play ground. Had a great time and didn't have to spend any money. They also have canoe or kayak for rent. Saw lots of fish jumping up out of water. Fishing allowed as well.

Spent the day here a few weekends ago just exploring the trails and this is my new favorite spot. 😍 The lake, the wildlife, the wooded areas, the cave, and the peaceful scenery are amazing. I brought my daughter a few days ago to play at the park and we are over the moon to have a new spot.
