I
visited
this
hospital
to
get
my
medical
certificate
for
the
renewal
of
my
driving
licence.
It
was
my
first
time
here
and
it
was
quite
challenging,
hence
sharing
a
detailed
note
on
my
experience.
In
this
hospital,
you
are
required
to
register
yourself
first
before
heading
inside
to
meet
the
doctor.
Registration
counters
are
outside
the
OPD
building.
I
initially
visited
the
hospital
around
11:30
AM
on
a
Friday
but
realized
soon
that
the
registration
counter
opens
at
8:30
AM
and
closes
at
11:30
AM.
I
visited
the
hospital
the
following
Monday,
reaching
there
at
9
am.
If
you
ask
almost
any
staff
at
the
hospital,
they
will
direct
you
to
register
yourself
at
counter
no
1.
This
is
the
first
mistake
you
should
not
make.
If
you
are
going
there
for
the
first
time,
make
your
way
to
counter
no
4
or
5
which
clearly
says,
"New
registration
document".
Counter
no
1
and
2
is
for
any
patient
who
is
visiting
the
hospital
again,
therefore
called
"old
registration
document"
counters.
By
default,
all
hospital
staff
ask
you
to
go
to
counter
1
but
that
information
is
incorrect
for
a
first
time
visitor.
Note
that
counter
numbers
are
not
clearly
marked
so
look
for
the
board
that
says,
"New
registration
document".
As
of
April
2022,
the
charges
for
registering
yourself
is
Rs.
10.
Show
your
aadhaar
card
and
provide
your
phone
number
and
you
will
receive
a
registration
slip.
In
some
cases,
you
will
also
be
provided
a
date
for
visiting
the
hospital,
depending
on
the
case
load
for
the
department
concerned.
This
date
is
provided
on
a
"tareek"
slip
which
you
need
to
keep
carefully
and
carry
with
you
on
D
day.
If
you
get
a
tareek
slip,
on
D
day,
go
to
counter
no
1
or
2
"Old
registration
document".
Once
you
have
your
registration
slip,
make
your
way
to
the
OPD
building.
You
will
see
huge
queues
inside
at
almost
every
open
door.
Ophthalmology,
situated
on
the
first
floor
of
the
OPD
building,
was
where
I
headed
and
this
department
provides
good
service
(I
had
a
chance
to
interact
with
Dr.
Shruti,
DR.
Siddhi
and
a
third
doctor
who
I
believe
is
named
Dr.
Rishikesh
-
all
very
pleasant
and
helpful
inspite
of
being
so
busy
with
so
many
patients).
Note
that
for
Ophthalmology,
doctors
are
available
for
OPD
on
Mondays,
Wednesdays
and
Fridays.
From
my
limited
experience,
I
found
younger
doctors
to
be
the
helpful
and
cheerful
lot;
the
more
experienced
folks
were
sullen
or
probably
beaten
up
by
their
wives
that
morning
and
didn't
want
to
help
at
all.
Carry
a
book
or
headphones
with
you
to
kill
time
as
each
patient
needs
about
10
minutes
for
the
initial
eye
check
up.
For
any
other
department,
queues
are
long
and
waiting
time
is
a
lot
more
than
what
you
would
expect.
Once
my
eye
check
up
was
done,
I
did
a
bit
of
running
around
to
get
the
seal
on
my
medical
certificate.
If
you
need
it,
the
hospital
seal
is
available
in
the
MRO
counter
no
3
(certificate
section)
of
the
hospital,
located
at
the
ground
floor
of
the
OPD.
With
this,
my
job
was
done,
taking
about
3
hours
in
total
(including
all
the
wrong
counters
and
people
I
visited
to
get
this
job
done).
Parking
is
available
for
two
wheelers
but
it
can
get
full
very
fast.
I
did
not
visit
the
canteen
and
accordingly,
have
no
review
of
it.
Generally
the
hospital
staff
(nurses
or
hospital
attenders)
are
respectful
and
helpful.
