For
the
delivery
of
our
baby
in
Covid
times,
we
visited
Cloudnine
Hospital
on
reference
from
our
friends,
and
we
weren't
disappointed
at
all.
My
wife
was
treated
by
Dr
Nikhil
Datar
-
an
expert
gynaecologist,
who
guided
us
throughout
the
pregnancy
and
cleared
the
inhibitions
we
had.
My
wife
had
Gestational
Diabetes
(GDM),
but
Dr
Datar
made
sure
that
that
doesn't
affect
my
wife's
pregnancy
and
the
baby
in
any
way.
He
also
allowed
me
inside
the
operation
theatre
for
seeing
the
delivery
and
record
the
birthing
video
(had
to
produce
a
Covid
Negative
RT
PCR
report
for
that).
A
mere
chat
with
Dr
Datar
is
enough
to
make
you
at
ease.
We
highly
recommend
him
and
are
thankful
to
him.
After
the
delivery,
the
mother
and
the
baby
were
taken
care
of
nicely
by
the
nursing
staff,
especially
by
sister
Banupriya,
who
was
so
nice,
caring,
learned,
and
always
available
whenever
we
needed
her
help.
We
are
also
thankful
to
pediatrician
Dr
Tanushri
Mukherjee,
who
took
care
of
our
newborn
baby,
and
guided
us
as
first
time
parents
about
the
health
of
our
baby.
We
will
keep
visiting
her
for
our
baby's
routine
checkup.
Other
staff
like
the
lactation
expert
and
the
physiotherapist
were
also
quite
helpful.
Another
good
thing
was
that
you
don't
need
to
run
around
to
BMC
office
for
getting
the
birth
certificate.
If
you
have
finalized
the
baby's
name,
you
just
have
to
fill
up
a
form
at
the
hospital
and
the
valid
birth
certificate
will
come
to
your
email
id.
Also,
paid
parking
is
available
inside
the
hospital
building,
but
gets
full
in
day
time.
Areas
of
improvement
include
package
explanation
by
counsellors/receptionists,
diet
consultation,
and
billing.
We
were
told
by
the
counsellor
Ms
Swetha
that
the
newborn
baby
package
of
₹23,000/-
was
compulsory
and
we
had
to
opt
for
it.
Later,
on
interaction
with
other
parents,
we
found
out
it
was
NOT
compulsory.
Also,
the
dietician
Ms
Riya
Desai
told
us
that
she'll
give
a
customized
diabetic
diet
plan
as
my
wife
had
diabetes,
but
that
never
happened.
She
just
sent
the
regular
standard
diet
plan
on
email
after
discharge.
Billing
was
somewhat
not
very
smooth.
The
billing
process
took
time
and
the
billing
executive
couldn't
tell
what
the
line
items
of
the
bill
stood
for.
I
was
called
to
the
NICU
for
some
clarity
on
newborn
baby
package,
but
a
lady
doctor
there
was
very
rude.
Also,
when
we
had
reached
the
Triage
section
for
examination
and
admission,
no
doctor
was
available
for
a
long
time,
and
the
only
available
nurse
was
not
able
to
look
after
2-3
patients
that
had
come.
Having
said
that,
the
experience
at
Cloudnine
Malad
was
overall
satisfactory.
For
those
who'd
like
to
know
about
the
charges
incurred,
our
total
bill
for
Luxury
package
with
Caesarean
delivery
was
₹1,64,000/-,
including
₹23,000/-
for
newborn
package.
It
could
be
more
if
you
have
insurance,
as
then
the
hospitals
in
general
charge
you
more.
