I had strained my back and was in pain for two days - found the center via google reviews. I was attended to by Dr Sanil and Girija. This is probably one of the best massages I’ve experienced. She was able to identify points of inflammation and used a combination of Kizhi and massage to relieve me. I was struggling to walk when I got there but the treatment really helped relieve me of the pain. Highly recommend the center, dr and Girija

Hi Team, I have disc bulge in L3 L4 and L4 L5 according to MRI report. I have severe lower back pain. I feel pain in my both legs and upper spine whenever threr is severe lower back pain. I did physiotherapy sessions and chiropractic session, but no improvement. It gives temporary relief. Is there permanent treatment for my lower back pain in your center?

Thapovan Ayurveda is the most authentic Kerala Ayurveda massage in Powai and Central Mumbai. The therapeutic effects of relaxation and pain relief massage is excellent. I have been visiting the centre since last 5 years since 2010. They follow the traditional Ayurveda practices originated in Kerala and uses oils sourced from the that state.The staff is warm, cordial and well trained. The centre continued to provide services during uncertain pandemic times taking all precautions. I appreciate their commitment and dedication which made me update my review after 7 years of first writing it. Now it has been 12 years since I am visiting the centre. The team is led by Sanil and includes Girija, and Jomon. They have qualified Ayurveda doctor for consultation. Jomon is an expert in all Ayurveda massages. My best wishes to the team for future.

As a customer I am after behavior of the service provider's staff. I won't come in if you talk in rubbish language. I am a regular customer of Thapovan for the past many years I am now faced with a rude, unaccommodating front desk guy named Mr. Sanil. This person is refuses to give his full name. I had booked an appointment with Thapovan for 1st January. However, I did not get the confirmation message or call that I usually receive. Since I had been informed that it's heavily booked I presumed that the date was full and so I didn't call back. On 4th January I called back only to be reprimanded by Mr. Sanil for not turning up and a rude comment that nothing is available the entire week next week. No, "let me check", no "let me see what we can do to accommodate a regular customer". He instead blamed me saying why were you expecting a confirmation. I said you do that Everytime. At that Mr. Sanil said and this is verbatim, "aap booking kaisà kiya? Call se na. Toh call karne ko aata hai na?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Is that how a front desk of a service based business is supposed to talk to customers. Do you have no service standards. Are you saying customers will be reprimanded by you staff like children in school. I am never returning to this place. After all these years I am cutting off. I was continuing only because of Girija, the attending masseuse. But when your front desk is so obscene n uncouth how can one get past to the actual masseuse. Sorry state of affairs where the front desk person actually decided how a customer should be treated.

The doctor who sits here for consultation is really good. However they give too many medicines which is a bit turn off as most of them are bitter in taste

Plus:: Ambience, personalized treatment regime of Ayurveda by well qualified doctors, facilities. Parking is difficult and the roads leading in and out can get congested during peak hours. So plan early or take ride share aggregator like ola or uber.

Got my body massage done from Dhanashree and I must it was one of my best massage ever. I had so much pain in my shoulder and her professionalism , attention to detail and commitment is evident.

Hey. I did Podikizhi 7 days and shirodhara 3 days and it really helped me feel at ease in my body again. The therapists and Dr Kanchan are great. My pain did come back of course and so now I went for another Podikizhi session and will do so every month to keep relaxing the muscles. Love the ambience and energy of the place. I had miniscule tear with pain in the knee I started the podikkizhi treatment as a 7 day package..first two days had very little improvement but now after 7 days I have 96 percent relief..my massuer was dhanashree..would recommend it ..will again start for keeping my muscles pliable

All the therapists here are well versed with the Ayurvedic treatment. Therapies like Udwartanam and Abhyangam relaxes one's mind and body. Dhanashree was assigned to me for few therapies and she is exceptionally good in her work.

My experience was not good. I booked for stress free therapy and inspite of relaxing my mind it gave me a bad headache. My head became so heavy due to the buttermilk, my migraine pain started.. there was no head massage or anything.. it was an entire wastage of money

Awesome place and friendly staff. On their recommendation for neck and lower back pain, got the podikizhi massage done and it was not only amazing but also effective. Will definitely go back. The place is well done and clean. Just one suggestion which I have also given in person is to provide bathroom slippers for hygiene and avoid feeling slippery and let the customer decide whether to use or not. Since the room and bathroom floors tend to be a bit oily due to so many massages, after the shower with bare feet, it felt slippery to get down the 2 steps from the bathroom to the room floor which were oily and one could easily slip and get hurt. Not worth the risk when everything else is great! Thank you.

I had been to Thapovan for frozen shoulder. I was in intense pain. The place is clean and hygienic. I, Dr. Vikas Gulve from Bhusawal, had recurrent chronic low backache. Was submitted for X-rays and MRI. The findings were vague. Could not come to the conclusion for cause of the pain. In spite of that some surgery would be required, was the advice. My daughter Dr. Kanchan is a Doctor for Thapovan Powai. She suggested me to consult Thapowan for Keralian therapy/Abhyang mardan Therapy, as she has N no. of experiences of such variable patients getting cured out of this therapy at Thapovan Powai. So I had been to it. Mr. Sanil examined me and as I am from medical field, he explained his findings to me and suggested the therapy. It was appealing to me. And I started the therapy on the very same day. Gradually everyday I found relief in the pain. Now I am free from the pain. What I want to share through feedback is, this therapy is not only for maintaining the health but has Therapeutic means a curative effect for musculoskeletal pains. Mr. Sanil, who runs the Centre, is a thorough gentleman having scientific knowledge regarding Marma (specific points in the body which are responsible for pain) therapy also. Which are mentioned in Ayurved. Everybody in the centre is very kind, sincere, honest. I will suggest every body who is advised surgery regarding neurology, to consult Thapovan and try this therapy before surgery. And I am sure majority of them will get rid of the pain. The atmosphere in the centre is very pleasant, good classical music is on all the time. cleanliness is a soul of the centre. I wish good luck to Thapovan to serve the society.

The first experience I had of Ayuverdic treatment was during Diwali last year. Shirodar is a head message. It was good. The flow of oil energised my forehead and opened the crown area removing blockages. Today, I had podikizzi because I noticed some pain in my hips during the cold weather. I think the massage was absolutely brilliant. The same lady I had for Shirodar applied the techniques but this time she used a hot linen pad of herbs to seal my skin before beginning a deep massage. She used the palm of her hand and her thumb and index finger. She is an excellent practitioner and a very joyful person, who made me feel better. I think the price was fair too. The centre is in a very nice part of the city, close to gardens and a lake. The session was very advanced in terms of the depth of the rubbing into my muscles. I think this is a hygienic, courteous and professional place to go for aches and pains.

Great massage very relaxing music. Neat and clean place, extremely polite staff. I first visited them two years ago and now I am a regular patron just signed up for a six therapy session. The only downside is that it is expensive but other than that no qualms.

Hello... I had this neck n shoulder pain for almost a month n was botherin alot, so thought of trying Thapovan Ayurveda ... this was my first time with Ayurveda so was a little hesitant... But trust me guyz it works wonders. The place is mesmerizing , you feel a different vibe the movement u enter, very neat n clean with a soothing music playing all d time. Good place for an authentic Kerala massage

Excellent place. I took my mother here for a chronic body pain ( back and knee). The doctor we consulted was very thorough and seemed very well versed and could instantly understand the ailment. Since the pain was really severe I insisted on the first course of therapy the same day and I was easily accommodated without much delay. The therapist Girija took her time to understand my mother's pain points and concentrated specifically on the same and really patiently treated my mother. The evidence was on my mother's face when she came out. She came out with a big relaxed smile and said she felt very light and actually realised that a lot of the pain had dissipated. I instantly realised I took the right decision. My mother is now 4 days into the therapy and we see the difference in her overall health. I came here as the last resort but this place should definitely be the first destination for overall health and wellness.

Service: The owner / main masseur Sahil is exceptional in identifying pain points in your body and massaging them and there's a wonderful sense of rejuvenation post the massage. Plus he is always full of advice. They staff is friendly and there's a female masseuse too for women. Post the massage, you're provided with soap, shampoo and a clean towel and bathroom to wash away the oil.
