One of those serene beaches around Mumbai. You must visit Shitala Mata mandir near the beach. Try sipping on a tender coconut while gazing at the sea here. Very clean and peaceful unlike Juhu beach. Great drive and the connecting road is fabulous.

Approximately 3 and half hour drive from Mumbai, this quite beach is good one day picnic spot. There are many resorts around. Beach is quite clean and Less crowded. High tide during February generally starts around noon. During low tide one can easily walk a kilometre or so into the see. Far end there is kelve fort , it is in dilapidated condition. One can enjoy horse cart ride, ATV ride . Sunset is beautiful here

Very nice place if you are planning to go to chowpati. You will get plenty of paid parking near Shitladevi temple for 20 INR per car. The beach is only 2 minute walk from the parking. We enjoyed the camel ride, triple seat bicycle side, Tanga ride, and quad bike ride. You will find many shops while heading towards the beach e.g. food, toys, ladies jewelry, dried fish stalls, coconut stalls, etc. On weekends the beach is very crowded as compared to weekdays.

A beach with lots of potential, but under developed and poorly maintained by locals. This beach could be a close competitor to Alibaug or Kashid, but still deserted because of the poor infrastructure. there are hardly any good hotels around. Few "Resorts" are not even close to any property in Aliboug/Kashid. The beach is full with horse carts and motor carts. No changing rooms or toilets (atleast I didnt find one). The water is not so clean, it appears to be muddy, You might not like to take a dip. However that is nature, and can not be controlled. I would advise people to skip this and settle for Kasid or Aliboug.

Kelwa Beach is a beautiful and serene place off Palghar. Nice to visit during the sunset. Lots of attractions are being added now such as banana boat ride, speed boats, quad bikes apart from horse and camel rides. Nice place to relax and enjoy with kids. Plenty of resorts are available nearby for overnight stay. A visit to Shitladevi temple should also be done which is nearby the beach.

Offbeat much needed location just to get mesmerised by its scenic beauty. One of the best beach to have a magnificent sunrise experience, though there isn’t a direct sunrise to be seen but it’s shadows does make a wild experience to have the moment captured. Kelwa was an instant decider and to my astonishment this location did deliver itself that it kept me stunned.

One of the best places to visit in Palghar.. The beaches are almost clean and many hotels and resorts near by for stay and food. A good family picnic option near Mumbai for one day.

Kelwa beach is located near Palghar. This beach is beautiful, clean and less crowded. You can enjoy different types of rides here like speed boat, camel ride, horse ride and bikes. Parking charges are 20 rs and entry fees 5 RS per person. You can also have coconut water, Tadgole, Star fruit and mangos.

It's a very good beach near Mumbai. If you get the right train from Borivali you can reach Kelva railway station within 1 hour. Then you need a 15 min. share rickshaw Or share Taxi drop to the exact location. The beach has good view with a little goa vibe . Once the wind starts to blow it's a great experience. Crowd is little although more people have started to come on weekends. Plan for a one day visit. There are decent food stalls as well.

One of the best places to visit. It is opened for people now. There is proper parking space near and also beside the entry point as there is no entry for vehicles except if u are a local. There is 5β‚Ή entry fee charged per person for entry. It is no entry without proper mask, but still except for outsiders, it is less likely to see locals wearing a mask. The place is clean. There is an all accessible washroom, a chinese corner, nariyal pani vendors, and such small vendor shops. It is most likely to be filled with people after its 12pm. As always the bewch view is great and also the kelwa fort can be seem. ****Note: Keep change in handy if you are expecting to buy something, as they won’t give change.***

Amazing weekend gateway near Mumbai. Beach is finely clean & nice & it has black coloured sea water which you will get everywhere near Mumbai. It takes around 1 hour 45 minutes to reach the place if your travelling from Dadar via train source. Train Connectivity: Dadar-Virar-Dahanu Rd. (u suppose to get down at kelawe road station) You will have mutiple food tapris near beach as all beaches have, but it don't has big hotels nearby as beach is not that popular. Few water sports and bike beach riding kind activities available on beach that I haven't tried. There is one fort on beach named kelwe fort but it's bit far if you are walking on beach and accessible while low tide. One should check tide timings before visit, because you might get disappointed if there is low tide. Toilets are available near beach, those are paid and clean.Overall it's nice place for one peaceful weekend.

Situated amidst fresh lotus lakes, thick ancient forest, and the long stretch of virgin beach at Kelva, also popularly known as Kelva Beach is a popular weak end destination for tourists from Mumbai and also from other places in the country. There are also a number of good hotels and resorts at Kelva Beach which offer good accommodation and food against a very wide price range and can be a very good place for a couple of day’s holiday. Kelva Beach is around about 80 km away from Mumbai City, once can easily get to this beach either by road or by train, the nearest train stations being around 5 km away from the Kelwa beach. It takes around 25 minutes to drive down from Palghar.

It is clean & not that crowded.. there's also a fort near the beach & Shitla Devi temple..but you will only get local, home made food options there..we couldn't find a good restaurant, there are a few resorts, in the area of beach.. there is a beautiful bridge on the way..some beautiful views from that bridge..

One of the best stay and experience I have ever had. I had 3 rooms booked here. Rooms were spacious. Hotel dining experience was great all the time. Entire crew were so nice. Room cleaning service people were great, never had any issue or complaint on their cleaning jobs. Front desk people were so helpful at your needs. At your dining experience you can tell those server enjoying their jobs while serving you. Special thanks to all crew members who made our stay memorable. Highly recommend this place for future stay who wants to enjoy their stay without any hassle.

Neat and clean beach... slightly unexplored even it is close to Mumbai... Definitely good for a weekend tour with family... Grampanchayat is keeping a watch on the facilities for tourist it seems... since the beach has entry ticket.. nominal one (β‚Ή 5.00) per adult. Still there are few things which can be improved... mainly hygiene around the facilities... still there are people creating unnecessary Nueces.. which needs to be stopped through local authorities... Beach has low depth.. so kind of safe for children... though did not find any Life-Guard on the beach.. There is beautiful temple very near to beach .. a must visit location. One can get good and tasty food around the beach entrance.. it is recommended to place your order if you are looking for specific food items with local restaurant.. so you can enjoy good food ... Food is not expensive.. neither cheap... but surely tasty... One can enjoy Sea food here.. Good place to visit for sure..

The beach is located in Saffale . The beach is pretty much crowded during the evenings . The beach is not well kept and there is dirt everywhere. I think the locals and the Government should take an initiative to keep the beach clean as it brings in Revenue from Tourist visiting there. Otherwise they have a local market that sells artificial jewellery , food , besides other wares. Camel and horse rides are available too.

Kelve Beach is secluded but nowadays peoples do visit and crowd is very much over here. People come here for pre wedding shoot and photography. Beach is not happening but a single visit makes sense. Sand is hard and no soft sand would be found here. Beach authorities has provided benches to sit and enjoy the sea.

One of the most beautiful beach north of Mumbai. You can go by train and get down at Kelve road station or by road. The beach is around 2kms long and has a broad sandy area. Due to this it's rarely crowded even on weekends. At the centre there are few ice cream, chaat and coconut water stalls. Overall a very beautiful place to relax..
