Worli Fort has nothing in it. It's just a name sake fort. It is located so much inside where car and bikes can't even go, one will have to walk all the way till there. There is nothing to see in the fort. You can only see the bandra worli Sea link and all the bastii near by. There is a just a small temple inside the fort... It was not a good experience.

We can see Bandra - Worli Sea link Bridge 🌉 The Worli Fort is considered to have been built by the British around the 17th century as a lookout for enemy ships and pirates. Alternate accounts suggest that it was built by the Portuguese during the 16th century. Regardless, overlooking the Mahim Bay at a time when Mumbai was just a group of islands, the fort was of great strategic importance to the British Navy guarding the western coast of the country. The fort has a built in well, a temple and plenty of space to soak in views of Mahim, Bandra. And the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea link outside the fort are platforms for cannons, a reminder of its military significance in the past. This fort is among the three that overlook the Mahim Bay on Mumbai’s western coast, with Mahim Fort and Bandra Fort to its north. All three forts were adapted by the British to boost defense along the coast, even though only Worli Fort is considered to have been built by them.

This is located in the Worli village, so one has to walk around 1500 metres to reach there. But, it will be absolutely worth it. There's usually no crowd with a beautiful view of the sea along with the Bandra-Worli sea link. It's very difficult find such a wonderful viewpoint in Mumbai with so less crowd. Am adding a little history for those who are interested- "The Worli Fort is a fort built by the British in Worli, Mumbai, India. The fort, often mistakenly referred to as being built by the Portuguese, was built by the British around 1675. The fort, built on the Worli hill, overlooked the Mahim Bay at a time the city was made up of just seven islands". It's a great place to spend some quite time.

The fort location and view is very good, it is state government property... But the locals who stay there have encroached it and harrass the tourist..and impose unecessary rules...as if it is their private property.... I am going to write letter to state tourism minister and worli police station senior regarding this issue...

There were a total of 11 forts on the islands of Mumbai. Among them, the British built "Worli Fort" on a small hill on the mainland of Worli Island. This fort was used to monitor and protect sea trade. The headland of Worli, the fort of Mahim and the fort of Bandra come together to form a shape similar to the English letter 'U'. The sea here is always calm due to the natural indentation at this place. Therefore, in this area, there is a big problem of small boats, ships, and boats This fort, located on the hill of Worli, has been recently renovated by the Department of Archaeology. So the fort is in good condition. After entering the fort through a small gate, there is a small bell tower at the top of the gate. There is a water well in the fort and next to it is a small temple and a gymnasium. A stairway is built to reach the fort's shore. You can go to the fortifications of the fort by this staircase. From the fortifications of the fort, the region up to Bandra, Mahim comes into view. Even outside the fort After getting off at the last stop of the BEST bus from Dadar to Worli Koliwada (169;118,56), we reach this fort after a 10-minute walk through the fisherman's colony. Since the fort is small and self-contained, it can be seen in half an hour.

Beautiful place encroached by the local people's. General Chat Chat Lounge The scene of the ocean with high rises are just _ beautiful. General Chat Chat Lounge General Chat Chat Lounge Its about 15 min. Walk from the worli village bus depot. During the walk to Worli Fort, the locals' house reminded me of my own village. General Chat Chat LoungeThe fort itself is not that great and big but the view of the probable Mumbai skyline and the sea link is really mesmerizing and beautiful. The fort has a few stairs to it 's main floor which has a temple, besides which there are stairs to get to the upper part of the fort. A place to be atleast at once get a completely different perspective of Mumbai.

Nestled amidst the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, Worli Fort stands tall as a testament to the city's rich historical past. This ancient fort, dating back to the 17th century, is a captivating destination that offers an oasis of tranquility amid the urban chaos. Worli Fort's imposing stone walls and bastions transport visitors to an era when Mumbai was a cluster of islands, and maritime trade flourished. As I wandered through the fort's corridors, I marveled at the architecture and the strategic location that once safeguarded the city from invaders. The panoramic view of the Arabian Sea from the ramparts adds to the fort's allure, making it a photographer's delight. The fort's restoration efforts have been commendable, preserving its grandeur for future generations. However, the lack of adequate information on-site could be improved to enhance the overall visitor experience. Worli Fort offers a peaceful retreat from the city's cacophony, making it an ideal spot for solitude seekers and history enthusiasts. The adjacent Worli Sea Face promenade provides a picturesque stroll along the coastline, making the visit even more worthwhile. In conclusion, Worli Fort is a hidden gem in Mumbai that offers a captivating glimpse into the city's historical roots. Whether you are a history buff, a curious traveler, or simply seeking a moment of respite, a visit to Worli Fort promises a delightful and enriching experience. *Review by AI

The visit gone totally unhappy while seeing no space to walk inside the fort . Some small house is build inside the fort & gym. Some reconstruction is going on but I got no idea about what was it for. The most untidy fort i seen till now in mumbai . This should be changed .

** this is a place which cannot be accessed by a three/ four wheeler** Even by means of a two wheeler, it's tough navigating through the narrow lanes of worli gaon. Now coming to the location, it is in a dilapidated condition. But the views of both bandra worli sea link and worli skyscrapers is just beautiful. The sheer contrast is what we can reflect upon mumbai as a city.

Well preserved fort. Venue for many movie shots. Good view on Worli Bandra bridge. The approach road is congested. Not recommended to visit after sunset, particularly for ladies. Nearest railway station is Dadar. 500 metre distance from Worli sea face north.

Located deep within Worli Koliwada, Worli Fort is a great location to sit and watch the boats and the waves. Having repurposed the lower floor as a gym, the upper viewing deck is still open for the public to enter. Beautiful sights and a decent place for a visit.

It's situated at about 15 mins walking distance from main road, the lane is very narrow, please avoid car but you can make it via 2 wheeler.Fort is very small and houses a gym inside (seems weird at first sight),but they have kept the insides of the fort well maintained. Visit in morning hours to view the sun rise behind the Mumbai skyscrapers. In morning you'll also get to see in contrast the living space available for parole in the city.

Fort is very far away from nearest bus stop. U have to walk too much. If you got a bike then it's okay. The route to fort goes through a village settlement and it narrows as u reach close to fort.. There are no sign boards indicating directions, so u have to ask the villagers for directions. Its okay. You just find a great view of Bandra Worli Sea link..which is common by now for Mumbaikars. (If u want a better view then visit Worli Seaface Garden.) U get see both shades of Worli in one view - Worli Gaav as well as the city. Good if u want to explore a new place for once. There is a constant Koli aroma in the air.
