Although temple looks so good from the outside but I am really disappointed. Why only women are not allowed with Jeans? Rules should be similar for men as well. And if they really wants pure hindu or Maharashtrian attire then they should ask married womens to wear saaris and mens to wear dhoti/payjama and all those stuff. If women are wearing tight fitted leggings that is perfect for them but decent jeans are not allowed .. I mean hats off to the thinking itself ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป and in addition to that, they don't even allows you to watch and take darshan of maharaj by standing outside of the temple ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

I have heard this story through my friend. Long ago when a Developer was facing many hurdles and difficulties in completing his residential project. He prayed to Shree Swami Samarth and asked for his help. Few months later, the developer completed this residential complex in Andheri Lokhandwala and named the whole area as Samarth Nagar. He also established Swami Samarth Math which is spacious and bright coloured. Women in jeans and tshirt are not allowed inside the Math.

Did not allow 10 year old small girl wearing full jeans and top, inside the temple. Can understand rules for short skirts, torn jeans and rules for grown up. But stopping a fully dressed small girl just because she was wearing jeans is really disgusting. Whereas small boys and men were allowed in jeans. Swami would have surely not approved this behaviour of their so called followers. Shree Swami samarth.!

Shri Swami Samarth has been my guiding light all my life but I will never visit this temple again. The rules are very regressive here. There are special rules for 'Womenfolk' and rude people are employed to ensure devotees adhere to these. Such rules do not exist in other temples including the Dadar Math and our beloved Akkalkot. My eigth grade niece and another devotee girl younger to her were made to stand by the gate like culprits because both had worn 'men's attire' like long pants and T-shirts. They were not even allowed to take darshan from outside the temple. Women working for Mumbai police, traffic, airline pilots, military, etc all cannot come and seek Swamiji's darshan at the start of the day as their uniform is "men's attire". I understand this is a private temple and these are their rules but these are not my Swami's teachings. I refuse to endorse this. What next? Come in a burqa?

    || Shree Swami Samarth || I got an opportunity to visit a Swami Samarth Temple in Lokhandawala, Andheri West, on the occasion of " Shree Swami Prakat deen". The temple is beautiful from inside and outside and beautifully decorated for special events. There is a proper shoe stand and facility to wash your feet before entering the temple. The Swami idol is very adorable, and I feel like looking at it continuously without biking my eyes. I felt blessed that day. ๐Ÿ™โ˜บ๏ธ

This place is located at Andheri west. Really peaceful place. I stay in andheri east 10 years ago. We visited almost every weekend in this temple. Just for that peacefulness. If you not visited yet I suggest you to go at this place. On weekends there will little bit rush. From Monday to Friday may be not that many rush as compare to weekends. I visited here after the ages & feels like I visited same temple that I visited when my age is like 12 or 13. Just love.โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ™

Positive vibes the moment you enter. You can feel the peaceful atmosphere considering the temple is located in such a busy locality of lokhandwala. Parking is not available and need to park ahead. Best timings to visit would be early mornings between 7 and 9 am.

It's a beautiful temple and I have had heard alot about it so I took my mother there all the way from Goregaon on a Thursday as we are firm believer of Swami Samarth . As much as I appreciate the management for keeping the property maintained my only question is if a woman wear a long kurta with full sleeves a bindi , jhumka but just wears a blank jeans ( which is not even leather in the bottom ) what logic does it makes to not allow them inside the property. And rather it is said that it's a private property and only bcoz it's not a leggings but a different material you won't be allowed . I understand if Western cloths are not allowed but a cotton jeans below a kurta with bindi and all other things that makes me Indian is not a reason to be shooed off from the temple . I would really wish this never happens to anyone else because it makes not logical sense . Thanks !

It's a temple dedicated to Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj of Akkalkot. Must visit for all Swami bhakts. Amazing and divine ambience. You can feel inner peace once you enter the temple. For female devotees, they have a strict rule that they are allowed only in Indian attire. Even for males proper decent clothing is required. Shorts etc are not allowed inside the temple. It's a divine experience to have darshan and seek blessings of Maharaj here.

Itโ€™s a privately owned temple so dress codes are bit strict than other trust owned temples. Overall very calm n clean and pure just how swami likes it

Not allowed in math due to wearing jeans . I had visited many swami math no other math have these rules . And it's not mentioned also. On that security are so rude they saying it's private math. If it is private then y kept open for people. The owner had no feeling for people sentiment.
