Have been visiting this church for the Novena since I was a kid. Back then used to come with my Dad. Fond and sweet memories flashback every single time I revisit here for Novenas. Every visit bestows upon me sense of calmness and gratefulness. If you ever are in trouble, worry, dilemma or just need to be in a safe space for sometime, I urge you to visit this Church for Novenas.

Peace n tranquility.. N all ur prayers r heard n u get a positive reply very soon...always received many blessings from our Mother Mary who constantly intercedes for us...apart from the ushers n their supervisor while sitting together by the entrance gate without mask...n wants all the devotees to put the mask before entering the church..nor fair...

No words enough to thank our reverent Mother Mary. Today is her birthday and it is even more special as the church completes 75 platinum glorious years of the miraculous Novena prayers. Her highness the only immaculate Mother Mary is the saviour ,guide, comforter, healer and every thing to each and every one who comes to her. Honours her, worships her. Heartfelt gratitude to all the reverent Fathers too, who have been offering the Novena prayers from day one till today. May her immense grace and blessings be always be on us, our wonderful city and every body who seek her divine mercy and grace. Thank you 🙏🌸

One of the oldest and most prolific christian places of worship. Well maintained and sizaeably huge place of worship. People from all walks of life and different faiths visit this shrine. Easily accessible by public transportation and cars too. Parking is difficult due to lack of adequate space.

Better known as Mahim church, it was built by the Portuguese in 1534. The current structure was rebuild in 1973. Wednesday is a very busy day as lot of Mumbaikars visit this church for prayer and blessings. If you are planning to visit for a peaceful time to calm your mind, go on weekdays morning except on Wednesday.

The best church. The Portuguese had built it long long time ago. There's little done and ut looks so graceful. They have novenas every year and every weds. They are so regular with their work and hats off to their dedication. Currently i watch their live streaming and it's so well organised. Before lockdown they also used to have sales outside the church. The churchis really peaceful inside and and the way they manage the crowd during novenas is good. Keep up the good work God bless

A worship place for lots of people around Mahim, Mumbai, exudes historical charm and spiritual significance. The church's role in the local community as a place of worship and cultural events enhances its cultural importance. St. Michael's Church stands as a testament to Mumbai's rich heritage and continues to be a place where both locals and visitors can experience a sense of peace and reverence.

My Mom belonged to this parish, her ancestral and family grave is here aswell. I personally visited this Church for Wednesday Novenas for our Lady of Perpetual Succour all these years. I have fond memories with this church growing up in Bombay. HISTORY :- This Church was built by the Portuguese in 1534 Ad as San Miguel Church in what was than known as Bombay and Bassein Province of Portuguese. It was built by Antonio Do Porto of the Francisan Order hence this makes it the oldest historical structure of Portuguese heritage, as well as a Shrine and a must visit place if you every happen to visit. On 11th May 1661, the marriage treaty of Charles II of England and Catherine of Braganza, daughter of King John IV of Portugal, placed Bombay in the possession of the British Empire, as part of Catherine's dowry to Charles. After the British take over of Bombay from Portuguese the British renamed this Church to St. Michael Church. Altough Bombay coming under British Rule post 1661, Portuguese were still allowed to having trading Post in Bombay city untill 1947. I will post Some more pictures when I visit the church once again.

It's a holy place to visit where thousands of devotees come in prayer and favours to be granted n many many prayers have been answered and faith grown n people continue to visit the same again and again. Novenas to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour are organised every Wednesday in English, Konkani, Hindi, Marathi and Tamil. Our Lady of Perpetual Succour novenas starts from 18th June till the feast day on 27th June people from all communities come for the veneration and novenas during this time. My humble request to all commuters travelling in and around the church to please keep silence and not HONK around the places of worship 🙏🏻🕊️🕊️🕊️. Do visit this place at atleast once in your lifetime for receiving blessings to you and your family 🙏🏻💓. There is a bus depot opposite this church so it easy to reach the church. U can also come in ur private vehicles and the parking for the same is little ahead of the bus depot. Uber/Ola can also be used. Please also note that auto rickshaw are not allowed here.

Church and it's services are good but nobody seems to care about the snacks and tea section. So much rush and confusion on Wednesdays. Long queues for buying coupons and for getting the snacks. If you manage to reach the counter the required item would not be there.Don't understand why nobody cares.

  • 5/5 Dylin G. 9 months ago on Google
Amazing church, neo-retro design. Always full of people and known faces. Good snacks and clothes outside the premises. But the best part of all, prayers always seem to be answered after attending or even just visiting. Must visit if you're human (or animal).
