One of the oldest church in Mumbai spacious and huge here you have huge parking space Serene experience. I visited this place on Christmas Eve. There were lights and a Christmas-y vibe! The church was visited by many people that day and the prayer began as we went there. It was a new experience for me. Just lovely! You’ll get bus or other travelling sources from Bandra station

Built in 1575 by Portuguese Jesuits, this church is an immensely important church having gone through too much of history and being the only one and biggest church in Bandra until 1853, when the close by church of St. Peter's was built. It has a long nave, the longest amongst all churches in Mumbai, I presume. Playing a major role in the evangelisation of Bandra, it is today the main church of the Bandra Deanery. Having won the urban heritage award in 2002, it needs a major upkeep and renovation to befit its stature!

The church requires a lot of repairs it looks very sad that everyone ,priest the parishners and the Archdiocese r turning a blind eye on the upkeep wake up who ever is responsible do not cry for funds there's enough given every weekend.

It's a very old structure and the fact that it has peeling paint and cracked walls makes it all the more evocative. The floor is lined with graves of people from a century back. The lack of space may have warranted this approach, but makes you place every step more carefully and consciously.

I had a very bad experience in church. I was denied Prasad by someone standing in the queue. He asked if I was catholic and after I said no he literally snatched prasad from my hands in front of the priest and the priest didn’t say anything to him 😔😔

A historic Roman Catholic Church located on Hill Road in Bandra. It is one of the oldest churches in Mumbai. This church was built by the Portuguese Jesuits in 1575 and dedicated to St. Andrew. The interior of the church is simple having wooden pews, gold guided altar, side altars, windows, pulpit etc. The main altar had a barrel vaulted ceiling. There are tombstones inside and outside the church. The church had a Portuguese styled facade with belfry towers on either side. It was extended in 1966. This church was awarded with the Urban Heritage Award in 2002. Outside the church is a statue of Christ the King and a cross stand. Had attended a funeral mass service in this church as a college student. This church is an ideal place of worship for Catholics as well as people of other faith.

Very peaceful and beautiful place,I had seen this Church many times but never was able to go inside. But this time when I got the opportunity i felt very blessed because as I entered I realised that they had brought the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis and got the chance to touch the relic and pray and intercede for us. 🙏🙏
