Lovely little cafe-type place to sit with friends, dates, or for working. B2BLC is run by the homeless, and is beautifully well kept. Part of the profit goes into the training, well being, housing & education of the staff. We went here for a Sunday breakfast, and were helped with the wait staff throughout. Had a great chat with the founder Amin. Service: Gopala, who has been here for a while, explained to us how they function with impeccable speaking skills! They helped us with an umbrella right outside - you know they're paying attention to their customers. Food was served quite quickly. Ambience: It has a subdued, quaint vibe to it. They've plants all over & are kept very clean overall. The library bit is great. Outdoor seating is comfortable too, with a lot of fans. Food: Great quality, simple food. The menu is quite extensive & has a lot of nice options. The mushroom omelette, chicken special sandwich, kokam cooler, and muffins were all good. A little on the salty side though. Taste could improve a bit but nothing to complain here. The place is not very expensive, especially if you consider the quality of service & the fact that they help their staff on a base level.

The tagging on Google maps is slightly out of place. The actual restaurant is located about 25 metres from where Google shows it. No valet parking. Thus one has to park on the road where No parking board is visible. Thus if you are visiting during daytime better use a public transport. They do not accept reservations and thus if you book through any app it wonโ€™t help. The restaurant explained they have tried to discontinue reservation from the app but they have been unsuccessful so far There is an indoor as well as outdoor seating. On entering the kitchen catches the attention but for some reason it looked very gloomy to me. However the other part of the restaurant is well done albeit a bit too much cluttered I have to say. The entire wall is covered up with portraits and posters of different kind The best part is the wall that has stacks of book and large posters on top and it is the most photogenic place I could observed. They also have a boutique thatโ€™s tied up with a NGO and I ended up buying a colourful shirt The menu was plain and simple and budgeted too. We ordered 2 Americano and a cheese garlic toast. The quantity was fulfilling and the price nominal. The staff was really good, warm and communicated clearly. Was impressed by their professionalism. Overall a good place to hangout or to catch up on some work in leisure as the tables are ideal for working. Do visit if you are around Marol

This one's worth a visit for too many reasons. The novelty and the goodwill of the place being the first. Read the picture of the banner I've posted to find out what they're doing. The service is prompt and hassle free. The staff are courteous and have a smile on their face. The food is priced right and tastes good. The quantity too is filling. This is the perfect place to work, have a meeting, hang out with your friends and family, or even just read. Definitely visiting again when I'm in Mumbai.

Nestled in the busy street of Marol, a few minutes away from the metro station, is this gem of a cafe - Bombay to Barcelona Library Cafe. This cafe is a great initiative by the founder, Amin Sheikh, who provides employment to street kids in the cafe. It's a different world altogether when you enter the cafe, away from the noise of the bustling city. They have a myriad of books to choose from, a piano and multiple guitars for the musical fanatics and mannequins showcasing few classy garments. For those who prefer an outdoor seating, they have seats outside as well, surrounded by many plants. Be rest assured that the place is generally full during the peak hours so you might have to wait. Speaking about the menu, oh boy the variety! From baingan bharta sandwich to an all time favourite pink pasta to a variety of crepes, there is something here for every palate. Here's what we had - 1. Balle balle penne pasta : This an indian version of your regular Italian pasta. As the name gives it away, this dish is perfect for those who like punjabi cuisine. The gravy is super flavourful and buttery and you'll end up fighting for the cheese on top. 2. Cheese garlic bread : This is a cheese lover's paradise! They are cross buns filled with a generous amount of cheese. You're bound to have cheese in every bite. 3. Chicken fusion vadapav : A twist to the normal vadapav, this had a juicy chicken patty and a unique blend of green chutney and a white sauce (not sure what this was) The flavours aren't too overwhelming and has a nice subtle taste. 4. Malta mojito : An orange based mojito with fresh mint leaves. It has a mix of sweet, bitter and tangy flavour. If you're into fruit juices, this one is for you! 5. Oreo shake : A semi thick shake with the perfect amount of sweetness. Just how an Oreo shake should be! 6. Chocolate shake : This shake has more of dark chocolate in it. Honestly, the experience at the Cafรฉ is too good. There's a homely atmosphere here and the staff is so cordial and respectful. They also have live music on weekends so it's an ideal place to chill with your friends. Also, special mention to Amin for suggesting us the dishes based on our taste and making sure we had a good time! Do try and read his autobiography - I am because of you. Looking forward to visiting the Cafรฉ soon once again!

Loved the place. Loved the spirit and the concept behind the Cafe. Uma, Robin and Amin made my visit so memorable by sharing their stories and journey. Great menu, coffee was good as was the sandwich but perhaps too much mushroom in it. Loved the decor, a combination of ethnic and contemporary, cheerful and yet comfortable. Kudos to the team! Wishing them the very best.

Had a great experience visiting this restaurant. Although I wanted to give it a 4.5 but since I donโ€™t have that as an option, Iโ€™ll go with 5 ๐Ÿ˜Š Here are the highlights and few area of improvement: 1. Ambiance was nice and lively 2. Natural light and good ventilation 3. Staff was helpful and warm 4. Food - we ordered 3 dishes and 2 beverages - Chicken lasagne : taste was awesome - Chicken Pasta (pesto sauce) : good. I guess the pesto was overpowering the pasta. - Pancake (apple caramel) - Delicious. Pancake dough was a bit difficult to cut after sitting for a while. - ABC juice and Kokam cooler - Super nice and refreshing 5. Neat and hygienic seating Overall a great place to hangout with friends and family. Shall visit again ๐Ÿ˜Š

Didn't like the place. Cake / pastry sizes are too small for the money you pay. 180/- for a gooey chocolate cake and it's so small! Food is not at all as Western as it sounds. Indian food might be better. Good books collection.

Itโ€™s a lovely place to hang with your friends. Itโ€™s got this really chilled out vibe. We ordered pink sauce pasta, garlic bread and lasagna. As told by one of their staff members, these were some of the many popular dishes offered by this cafe. We really loved pink sauce pasta and garlic bread, but lasagna was not good, so iโ€™d suggest not to go for it. A good experience overall.

The cafe is quaint peaceful and we'll decked. The host told us every recipe has a story. Which is quite unique. The food was good but the tastes are different. Something new for the taste buds. Like the chicken fingers I tried were suprisingly tangy. Had my Christmas breakfast there. Shall go again to try more dishes.

Bombay To Barcelona Library Cafรฉ, located in Marol, Andheri, Mumbai, is a hidden gem that offers a unique fusion of Indian and Spanish flavors in a cozy European-style setting. What sets this restaurant apart is not just its delectable dishes but also its heartwarming mission. The moment I stepped into the cafe, I was greeted with the warm aroma of spices and the inviting ambiance of a European-style library. The place is not just a dining spot; it's an experience. The cafe is staffed by street boys and girls who have been given an opportunity to turn their lives around, making it a remarkable social initiative. This gives a sense of purpose to the dining experience. I started my meal with the cheese garlic bread toast, which was a delightful blend of cheesy goodness and aromatic garlic. The spinach corn toast sandwich was a perfect marriage of flavors, combining the essence of India and Spain. To accompany my meal, I enjoyed a refreshing cold coffee. What truly impressed me was the in-house clothing store, which adds a unique touch to the cafe. It's heartening to know that the proceeds from both the food bills and the store go towards the education and housing of the cafe's dedicated staff. This makes dining at Bombay To Barcelona Library Cafรฉ more than just a culinary experience; it's a way to support a worthy cause. In conclusion, this charming cafe offers not only a delectable blend of Indian and Spanish cuisine but also a heartwarming social cause. The food, atmosphere, and mission of Bombay To Barcelona Library Cafรฉ come together to create a truly memorable dining experience. I left with a full stomach, a warm heart, and a desire to return soon.

Amazing and beautiful cafe from the heart, this is a true gem worth visiting. Can't miss the delicious hot chocolate here ?โ˜•๏ธ. Some places just touch your heart.... This is going to be one of those ? Lip smacking food in a great atmosphere! Very friendly staff makes the cafe so welcoming! And a great little library and toy box for the little ones to enjoy and play with keeping them busy in a productive way while I enjoyed my meal. The menu is a mix of Indian and Spanish cuisine and created with all fresh ingredients. A must visit when in Mumbai! An exceptional experience! I am definitely coming back to see those warm happy smiles and try some more outstanding dishes from their menu.

The ambience of the cafe is wonderful. It makes one feel comfortable. The vibe is very casual and cozy. Amin and Sara, really make sure one feels special. Also, the art around is marvelous and adds to the beauty of the place. The best place for anyone who loves reading as much as I do since they also have a small library with english as well as Spanish books. The Tapas have a very authentic Spanish taste. Oh and if one has any interest in learning Spanish, they also conduct Spanish speaking classes almost every weekend. Makes a learner like me very happy! Also, let's not forget their motto, 'Sharing is caring'!

We went in for a quick meal. They have nice ambience with very courteous staff. The walls, painting, decor has a story and meaning.. We ordered Aglio Olio Spaghetti-Vegetarian and Milkshake of Dates.. We got spaghetti in like 15-20 minutes but due to some miscommunication they missed our milkshake. So after waiting for quite a while we asked about the milkshake and they realised their mistake, they forgot preparing the milkshake and were very sorry about it. And we were in hurry so we told them to cancel the order. Yet they prepared the milkshake and served us saying that this is on the house. But Ofcourse we didnโ€™t accept the milkshake free of charge. And the staff was genuinely sorry about the mistake and wanted to make it up.. Anyhow, the spaghetti was okay and so was milkshake.. You can visit the place for the experience!

As always have a great experience here. It's good if you want a place to talk or work as there's usually no music. While they don't officially state it in the menu, they did make my favourite crepe gluten free when requested. Only issue is it is difficult to get parking outside but the concept and place remain commendable.

Love this cafe ! The food and service here is amazing and truly unique. Everything here is welcoming and warm On my recent visit though I was asked to shut down my laptop once we finished having the sandwich and coffee we had ordered and were pointed to the below notice. I understand business point of view but this place always felt not aimed at revenue but rather giving people a good experience We did leave on a positive note but definitely have to rule this out as an option when looking at a cafe to work from.

I was in search of a suitable venue for conducting business meetings and stumbled upon the Bombay to Barcelona Library Cafe, which I now favor over other coffee shops. This establishment offers not only delicious cuisine but also provides top-notch service. What's even more appealing is the social angle to the place, which adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. Although the cafe's location is accurately marked on Google Maps, it can be somewhat easy to overlook!

There are many books over there, so grab a book and have their hot chocolate mug It will make your day or you can carry your laptop and do your work for some time in here. 30 people can accommodate in this place

Love the place! I come here very often and while the food is anyway very good, the ambience and hospitality are unparalleled! Must try: mushroom soup, carrot cake, chicken albondigas, pastas.. and on and on! Don't miss out on this quaint cafe if you are around here

Beautiful library cafe with a heart melting back story. ( Read more about the founder ) Tried out some Italian dishes and turned out to be reasonably good. The ambience was soothing and the outdoor seating was adorable. Overall I'd say..have to visit atleast once.

It was beautiful to visit Bombay to Barcelona library cafe after a while. They have shifted from there old location. The cafe is much bigger than its earlier version. The food taste the same .... Lipsmacking and delicious. The entire vibe of the cafe is very inviting and calm. Helpful and friendly staff. Looking forward to visiting more often ๐Ÿ™‚

This place gets 4 stars for it's awesome laid back atmosphere and the prompt staff. We ordered aloo chat, Alfredo pasta and pineapple juice here. Not a big fan of the modern fusion food, however they have a nice collection of books, a keyboard and some artsy things for sale too.

Good place to be, very calming. I love the cause they run, and I wish everyone of us supports the cause. Talking about food, selective items are great, but I personally didn't like the cake. Apart from that, interiors, service and other dishes I ordered were on point

Noble cause restaurant. Decent Cafe setup with maybe 4 _5 @ small tables in the aircon area. Outdoor seating doesn't seem for dining though was OK for waiting given the fans running. Books was an assorted collection and I don't think is well used or picked upon. Hope overall effort is helping the young staff and society. On food tried Alfredo spaghetti was alright, but took an hour plus of waiting first to get table and then another 45 mins for the dish preparation so prepare to spend lot of time here. Dining alone you may get a frown. And also get a weird location where it's not convenient to eat from a plate. They give the book reading area. Small place and the noble cause, so I just looked for ways to help and waited through. Receipt is given only for food prices and doesn't include tip. So feels while they are helpful to the street, they aren't helping the tax authorities or the nation. Hence reducing one star and giving 4/5, which could have otherwise been 5/5.

They take a bit too longer to serve and the seats aren't organized well. But The food is good and they are friendly with people! ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๐ŸŒน

Lovely quite cafe where you can sit and escape the noise and traffic of Marol Naka. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Since its a library cafe there is a decent collection of books as well. The coffee is great and the food is tasty as well with more options than your regular coffee shop. The menu is way more elaborate than a CCD or a Starbucks.

Really nice cafe. There's no music and people speak softly as well. A very good place to read or work on your laptop/tab or have a nice conversation with friends. Also, be patient! The orders take a bit to arrive. Untile then enjoy the reading/conversation.

Great food at excellent cost. A pocket friendly place without any compromise in the food quality. Important Note, this place is run by and for the orphan people, so every penny you spent here is actually a contribution to the society!!
