This is a vegetarian restaurant. Specifically its famous for its south Indian dishes. South Indian lunch is very tasty and filling. They also have options for Punjabi thali. Variety of Dosa and breakfast items are must try. Filter Coffee is the best one. Will surely visit again and highly recommended.

Frugal rates. Quick service. No frills. Great for families. Good for budgeted people. Large portions. Authentic Thambi food. We relished onion dosa. Crispy. Thaali is best bet. Rs 500 for 3 adult meals.

We've been visiting this place for over 4 years now, quality and taste is still the same maybe even better. This is the place to goto for an early morning breakfast . South Indians have this typical Sunday activity where full family goes to nearby temple and afterward have an elaborate breakfast. For that, thambi is the best place to come for having piping hot vadas and filter coffee. We never have just one item ,it's always dosaa, pooris, rava dosa so many different items that we order and share 😃. Best items: filter coffee ( of course) , masala dosa , medu Vada, poori bhaji, uttapam. The red chutney is amazing . Lunch is also good esp their variety rice items. They have other items in the menu and special dosaa too . It's kid friendly and not very spicy. Pocket friendly ( for this quality it's very good) Fast service.

There is no ONAM Sadhya at thammbi mulund. They lure clients saying mini onam thali. The thali is pure vegetarian thali with NOTHING of Onam in it. Not even sambhar nor aviyal. They ruined my taste buds for authentic onam sadhya .not a good way of cheating people on a festival. The dal n vegetables are normal veg thali stuff Please DONOT patronise this place if you wish to eat Onam sadhya. It's a cheat.

We are fond off south indian and Thambbi satisfied is really well. We ordered firstly Mysore masala dosa , which we loved and its red chutney is lip smashing .Its Sambhar and white chutney is also too good and authentic. Then we ordered 2nd dish which took time ,some korma with idli, which I don't like personally and red chutney was not here with it so it was tough to eat it. Then third order onion, butter, podi uttapam,it was really tasty podi and butter combination. BUT again NO RED CHUTNEY WAS THERE . RED CHUTNEY is must thing along with all idli or uttapam or dosa. We went at 9pm around so Red chutney got over by that time ,but but but They should inform us before taking order that red chutney is not available, we asked to cancel uttapam but chef already started cooking. Because it is must to have red chutney, Sambhar is quite common Without red chutney,we really don't prefer. Even ,there must be all three Sambhar, red, white chutney.Othefwise its not worth to miss any one from these . Ok but yea ,its Sambhar taste was also soo good .

Good hygiene, very good food (we ordered idli, medu vada, dahi wada, rava masala dosa and neer dosa with korma), good service, thoughtful ( limited) parking arrangement. However, filter coffee could be a tad tastier.

Value for money. No parking spot. Decent food quality and taste. The dosa that I ordered was a little too thin and crispy for consumption. Overall a good place to have lunch

I ordered the South Indian thali on a weekday evening. The food was good like a home-cooked meal. It was not oily and not heavily spiced, and the portion size and variety were very satisfying. The staff who attended to my table was courteous and attentive. Also I found this place simple and clean. The prices on the menu were reasonable. Congratulations on a well-run restaurant! I enjoyed my dinner and will be coming back more often.

On a very hot day, we stumbled on this restaurant that had a very cool ambience and amazing food, that was not spicy not plain but just perfect. And service was impeccable plus the cost of food was no basic. Me and my best friend had our lunch under 300 rs. 1000/10 recommend visiting this place.

Food is good but service is very very slow, South Indians or people who are aware of South food may not be too gaga about this place. But a light brunch once in a while without much garam masala is great

Good South Indian food in a cheaper rate. Other North Indian also available. No washrooms available. Common Parking on road. Descent ambience. Service is not the best. Update: they crunched the menu go only south indian now. Which was a better move I feel. Exclusive south indian. Try banana uttapam and Neer dosa which wint be available in other restaurants in mulund. Overall 4 ⭐.

Recently visited this place to try out authentic South Indian delicacies. Trust me this is a hidden gem in mulund for finger licking South Indian cuisine. Huge place with lovely ambience & hygeinic indoors. The dining hall can accommodate 40-45 people at a time. Best place to visit with your family. We ordered- 1) Dilkhush dosa - Masala Dosa filled with veggies & lot of cheese.Again garnished with shredded cheese. 2) Mini Butter Podi Idli- Mini steamed idlis roasted in yummy podi masala & loaded with lot of amul butter. This was totally droolworthy 💯 3) Veg Pulao- Flavourful rice with loads of veggies and served with raita, papad. 4)South Indian Thali- A plate full of yummy dishes..had 2 sabjis,Daal,Sambar, Rassam,Rice,Puri,Chaas,Sheera, etc. Food quality was above all & quantity was hefty. Every dish had unique flavours & perfectly prepared. The manager of this place was so humble and attentive person. He helped us in ordering food. All other staff was polite & offered us quick service. Overall a must try place if you are in thane for authentic south indian cuisine!

Waste Of Money... They Serve The Food Cold..So I Will Share My Experience.. I Had Gone To Eat Their Much-marketed Sapadam Thali Or 250 Rs. Thali .. Which Cost Me Rs. 261 After Taxes..I Sat On A Table And On The Opposite Table There Were Lots Of Food Items Openly Kept In Vessels God Knows Since When.. After 10 Minutes The Waiter Came And Started Serving Me The Thali From From The Same Vessels Kept On The Opposite Table Without Even Heating The Food .. And After Serving Some Items The Waiter Disappeared And I Was Waiting Because I Had Been Served Much Less Number Of Items Than Mentioned In Their Instagram Page..I Was Already Very Disappointed Till Now.. And Then I Tasted The Food Only To Be Totally And Completely Disappointed.. All Food Was Absolutely Cold..There Were Three Sabjis(The Sabjis Were More A Salad Then Sabjis) All Three Sabjis Were Totally Bland Without Any Masala Or Salt Whatsoever..And In The Name Of Curd Rice They Had Simply Mixed Plain Curd With Rice Without Even A Tadka.. And Then The Only Dessert Was Their So Called Payasam Was Simply Excessively Watery Sugared Milk Mixed With Some Cooked Rice..And Then After Some Time I Saw An Open Packet Of Readymade Banana Chips Kept On The Side Of A Counter Which They Were Supposed To Serve Me As A Part Of Their Thali Menu But They Didn't.. So I Myself Called The Waiter To Serve Me The Banana Chips.. I Called Him A Zillion Times And He Knew I Was Calling But Was Acting Deafly Towards Me.. Then I Finally Called Him Saying 'Sir' And Then Atlast He Responded ... My Conclusion Is That There Is Nothing In The Thali That I Enjoyed.. And The Other Thing I Observed That They Have This Permanent Lunch Thali That They Serve 365 Days And Which Actually Costs Rs. 150 On Weekdays But They Name It Sapadam Thali On Sundays And Take 250 + Tax Rs. For The Same Lunch Thali And Then They Name This Same Thali As Onam Sadya Thali On The Day Of Onam. YOU WILL BE MORE SATISFIED WITH A 20Rs. STREETSIDE VADA PAV THAN THIS ENTIRE THALI FROM THAMBBI

Visited Thambbi in Mulund to try out their Saapad which is a newly launched concept with 27 unlimited items only for Rs 250/- You can get this between 12-3.30pm. One should definitely try this once in their life to have this experience. It was so wholesome and delicious. Packed with flavours from the south. We loved each and everything on the banana leaf. The staff is sweet and approachable. Its a must visit place.

Thambbi has always been my favourite south indian food spot in Mulund. My favourites are their Andhra masala dosa, Thatte Idli, Dahi wada and filter coffee but for a change I also tried their Sevai and Idiyappam which was too good.

One of the best restaurants nearby to have a quick bite. Had Cheese masala dosa and Filter coffee. This just made my day. The taste was awesome and the quantity was also good. Neat and clean place and very hygiene place. Service is also good. You can give a try for this restaurant atleast once. You'll love this. Will sure explore a few more options in upcoming days. I tried the South India dish here but I believe they have multiple other options as well. Overall 5/5 for this amazing South Indian restaurant.

02 Dec Punjabi thali in South Indian restaurant. Sounds paradoxical right. It is one of the well balanced, flavourful, vale for money, highly satisfying treat. Veg mix, channa masala, aalu sabji, daal, roti, achar papad and chaas. Sweet. Can't be better then this. When I don't feel like experimenting and get the staple risk free tummy feeling supper. I think thambbi. I am loving it. Previous feedback This brings Matunga flavours to Mulund. Small set up yet spacious seating arrangement. Full range of menu. Every dish has its distict Thambbi flavour. It's south indian thali at 154 with 2 sabji, rasam, sambhar, daal, gulab jambu, rice and 2 rotis papad, achar and mini chaas is the most satisfying and homely wholesome meal, if you are hungry, go for it. It serves awsome kela bhajiya, which is must try. All and aal value for money.

If you’re not south Indian don’t visit this restaurant. Waiter won’t respect you. Coffee served was not even hot. waiter who takes order will speak with you nicely only if you speak in their language or else he’ll speak about you to other people in their language. Please visit if you want to get insulted for not speaking their language. And FYI they don’t know difference between south Indian thali and Punjabi thali. They will describe one and get you another one. Then argue about what they describe. Been to South Indian hotels coz I love their food. Never been treated this way.

Our family's most favorite restaurant, we love going on our every special occasion, like taking our guests too who visit from out stations for vacation, our most favorite dish is paper roast dosa. Out of the world taste, perfect South Indian taste, especially coconut chutney has a special taste there. Neat and simple ambience, rates are very friendly too, Thambi in south language means younger brother, we feel like going to our brother home to enjoy good food, lovely staff too❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Very good for South Indian food. Mini thali options available during lunch and dinner. Taste is good. One suggestion to management that they shall open it early maybe at 7am instead of 9am so that early breakfasters can catch them. Prices are reasonable.

Authentic place for south Indian thali and other dishes . Rassam in thali was awesome. Thali was served with Suran ( Elephant foot yam ) cooked with chick peas and grated coconut was yummy. Thali had sheera , sambhar , dal, rice , papad , pickel and chapati ( Puri option also available ) . Want to try mini idlis next time .

Pathetic food and service. The owner or manager at the counter is not bothered abt customers and after insisting he put on the fan. The food was average and coffee didn't seem to freshly prepared.it was just warmed up before bringing onto the table.

Today I visited Thambi Mulund west branch, faced a little unpleasant experience. I am a regular visiting this place, today I had ordered Punjabi Thali. But felt that I didn't receive the value for my payment because all dishes served in thali were cold enough and not worth eating, I requested a man to get it warm so that I can enjoy the meal. He took only Dal wati inside the kitchen, a couple of minutes later, he brought plain dal wati and not a dal fry as they serve dal fry in punjabi thali I brought this to the notice of a hotel manager, he came and checked it himself and realized the mistake, he then took it back to the kitchen, another couple of minutes eaten. after some time he brought the same plain dal back on my table. Well since I had to rush, I simply looked down and ate it the way it was served and went from there.

Easily spotted, located, on, LBS Marg in Mulund West, 'Thambbi' is a good, place, to have, breakfast as, well, as meals. We were, tempted to order, for, 1. Ghee Rava Dosa' 2. Sabudana Vada 3. Masala Medu Vada 4. Ragi Dosa 5. Thatte idli. All, the, items were, crispy & delicious, which, were, served with, equally tasty, chutney & sambar. Dosas, with ghee, were, so, damn good, that we, just, couldn't have, enough, of it. So, was, 'Thatte Idli', which, we, had, foir, the, first, time, very soft, as, said, by, the staff. Came, to know, of this, lovely dish. Restaurant staff, is polite & good food, makes, this place, unique. Do, try, here &, I am, sure, you, won't regret.
