I’d
been
wanting
to
visit
here
for
a
number
of
years
and
did
so
on
my
own
one
Saturday
evening,
and
although
it
didn’t
quite
live
up
to
expectations
I’d
recommend
it
for
a
different
perspective
on
the
city
and
for
a
sophisticated
drink.
I
arrived
at
the
5pm
opening
time
and
immediately
was
greeted
on
arrival
by
a
superbly
friendly
member
of
staff,
who
showed
me
round
the
area
given
there
was
no
one
else
there,
recommending
the
best
seats
to
admire
sunset.
The
whole
space
is
made
up
with
tables
and
sofas,
so
when
busy
wouldn’t
be
great
as
a
singleton,
but
there
are
however
around
fifteen
seats
at
the
bar.
A
limited
number
of
other
seats
had
USB
charging
facilities
which
was
a
nice
touch.
I
interacted
with
two
members
of
bar
staff
during
my
stay
and
both
were
exceptional
with
their
knowledge
of
drinks
on
offer
and
could
hold
interesting
and
engaging
conversation.
The
menu
is
extensive
but
it’s
worth
studying
prior
to
ordering,
as
some
traditional
options
are
surprisingly
expensive.
In
fact
the
prices
here
are
high,
not
just
by
local
but
global
standards,
even
for
local
Indian
options.
During
my
visit
the
roof
remained
shut,
which
was
a
shame,
but
there
is
a
small
outdoor
balcony
area
used
by
smokers.
The
views
are
good
when
the
haze
allows
and
you
can
see
out
towards
the
sea
as
well
over
the
built
up
area
to
the
east.
There
was
a
great
atmosphere
with
a
DJ
later
into
the
evening
and
a
smart
crowd.
Toilets
are
equally
as
impressive
as
the
bar
area
and
spotlessly
clean.
Drinks
were
served
professionally
and
the
accompanying
snacks
were
both
spicy
and
delicious.
Overall
it
was
a
very
enjoyable
evening.
You’ll
want
to
make
sure
you
visit
on
an
evening
when
the
roof
is
open,
since
otherwise
it
loses
a
lot
of
the
uniqueness,
and
be
prepared
to
spend
a
lot,
but
otherwise
it’s
a
modern
highlight
in
the
city.
