Rajgruha is
the
house
of
Dr.
Babasaheb
Ambedkar
located
in
Hindu
colony,
Dadar.
When
Dr.
Babasaheb
Ambedkar
settled
in
the
Mumbai
city
during
the
1930s,
he
built
himself
a
house
in
the
Hindu
Colony
in
Dadar
area.
He
supervised
the
design
of
the
structure,
which
was
initially
constructed
to
store
his
books,
and
named
it
Rajgriha,
after
the
ancient
Buddhist
kingdom.
Ambedkar
collected
more
than
50,000
books
during
his
time
at
Rajgruha,
which
made
it
one
of
the
largest
personal
libraries
in
the
world
at
the
time
of
his
death.
In
2013
the
mansion
became
a
heritage
monument.
Two
rooms
on
the
ground
floor
of
the
house
today
serve
as
a
small
memorial
and
museum,
storing
a
few
photographs
and
Dr.
Ambedkar’s
ashes,
which
are
open
to
'darshan'.
The
museum displays Dr
Ambedkar
and
Ramabai
Ambedkar's
personal
belongings,
images
and
Babasaheb's mortal
remains.
The
museum
is
located
on
the
ground
floor
-
all
other
floors
are
private
property.

वाहण्यासाठी
येत
असतात.
