If you are big fan of bollywood and happy to see few sets or buildings and few look alike movie actors then you can visit.. They take 1000rs per person for entry.. not worth.. also guide and people there are arrogant.. didn’t like the whole experience..

I had an amazing Bollywood experience at Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagri Filmcity, Mumbai. I booked a ticket from Bookmyshow that charged Rs800 each. Weekends are ₹100 expensive than the weekdays. So, you can book your cheaper tickets on weekdays as well. It was an air-conditioned tour bus that takes almost 1.5 hours or a maximum of 2 hours to complete the tour. They showed us some of the places to which I will attach a picture for reference. Apart from that, our tour guide also took us to the Bollywood park that has some iconic things like 3 Idiots seater, Golmaal bike, and Nagada of Jab We Met, etc. Have a look at the pictures and enjoy. It was worth one-time experience.

My Google Review # 000297 STRICT NO-NO! Waste of time. Waste of money. Waste of public money. Waste of natural resources. Pay INR 1000 per seat, with no refreshments for 3 hr trip in a 52 seater bus. You cannot get down anywhere. Only where they want, you get down, take selfies and hop back again, like trained monkeys. Bus guide keeps screaming a run-down speech asking you to look left or right for a 3 second glimpse of some studio sets far away! Seriously?? Is this how you give an experience? Aim is to get you to the last point as fast as possible, which is a small set, only created for you guys. Here also, if you do not want to attend, you cannot come out of the set and stand on the road! The “bouncers” will keep asking you to not loiter around. No real stuff. Mismanaged dance shows, poorly lit wax studio having statues of pathetic Bollywood celebrities. The canteen is run by a lost soul with his lost-in-transit team. Imagine 50 people placing PRE-PAID order for snacks & when the snacks arrive, the canteen says there is no water bottle or drinking water arrangement. You need to buy soft drinks! The canteen is made on a military theme. But, most unpatriotic or disgusting thing was them pasting the gallantry medal pictures on the top of eating tables! How pathetic Bollywood can get, is easily experienced in these 3 hours. No doubt, the average Indian is BOYCOTTING Bollywood, who do not have basic courtesy of treating guests, respecting our own India culture and are highly UNPATRIOTIC too. Date of Experience: May 2022

We went on a Saturday (₹900 per ticket on bookmyshow) While on our way to the venue, we got stuck in traffic however the tour bus waited 15 minutes specially for us. Thank you for that Film city team! This AC bus started at 2.45 ended at 5.45pm. The tour guide was funny (but mostly cringe jokes) and told interesting facts about each movie and tv show set. For most sets, the bus stops but you won't be allowed to get down from the bus. Ive attached pics of all the sets where bus stopped. If you're lucky you might be able to see some movie actors and several TV serial actors. But don't expect much. Kangana's RV was parked but we she was nowhere to be seen. we also witnessed the live shooting for 2 different TV serials. Sanjay Verma (actor from Taarak mehta show) entertained us at bollywood park, there was also a stand up comedian, singing and dance performance. Some technologies like VFX are explained by the team present in Bollywood Park. There's no eateries inside so ensure you don't go hungry. You can carry own snacks & beverages. Overall it was an average experience. Not worth the money.

People's expectations are crashed when they come out of the Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari after purchasing the tickets for 650 INR per person. For this amount they are providing tour of their A/C bus , 01 water bottle of 5 INR and bus tour of somewhere around one and half hour. You are not allowed to get down from the bus. Only 2 or 3 stops are given as per their wishes of bus guide. (depends upon the shooting). If your luck is good you got to see live shooting and performers of the TV serials. After visiting here we come come to know about the basic requirements to make a serial/film(there are many more things to know). Our luck was good enough to come across of two live shootings of tele serials and glimpse of actor/actress on our tour of 27th December2019. Last but not the least 650INR is too much for this type of tour.

It's not worth the time ,efforts and money you spend at this place. You get to see studio and film sets from outside in a moving ac bus. If get lucky one can see live shooting. They also have a bollywood theme park where they run three shows one is 7D , Chrome Studio and a small live performance Overall once in a lifetime visit.

The bus tour shows 5 studios from outside, a very slow and sleepy ride, not much to be seen just studios. The live shows are very sleepy as only 4 to 5 dancers perform in turn. Wax museum looks artificial and not natural looking statues Pricing of ticket is high as compared to the ambience. It should be not more than 550.00 instead of rs. 1000.00. We felt it a wastage of time and money both.

The Dadasaheb phalke chitranagri or in easier lingo the filmcity shows you the reality behind Indian television and cinema. You can find sets of old classics and new upcoming films here. If you are lucky you might also spot some famous actor/actress here. There are production houses as well as schools of set designing and production designing. The entry fees is too much considering the number of attractions it has. You gotta pay ₹650/ person for the tour which in my opinion is too much. The tour guide who went along with my group was amazing and kept us entertained throughout the tour.

The Film City is one of the main highlights of Mumbai thus making it one of the most favorite tourist places to visit in Mumbai. Well-equipped with a multitude of studios that house artificial mountains, lakes, gardens, cities, and villages, which make it difficult to distinguish real from fake, the film city is a dream world for tourists everywhere. Built by Dada Saheb Phalke under the renowned veteran actor, director V. Shantaram, the film city dating back to the early 20th century resides in the outskirts of Goregaon near the Borivali National Park. The Film City is built by the Maharashtra Government which gives an extensive variety of concessions and offices to the film business It is accepted to be one of the biggest on the planet and a fascination in itself. Its contamination-free foundation, tranquil condition, and enormous open space give individuals of all age gatherings to meander around in peace and respect and welcome every most recent improvement and advancements place congruously in one place. While you are visiting the film city there will be various full day as well as half-day Bollywood tours which will be given to you. All the tours show different clippings from Bollywood motion pictures, dubbing acts, light and sound experience and so on. Diversely evaluated tickets are charged for various visits and Indian and remote nationals. Highlights: There are various tours available to visit Film City like Dream Tour, Studio Tour, and Live Show Tour Entrance Fee: The entrance to the film city is free of cost.

This tour is waste of money and the time. You will not get to see anything. I personally believe that this tour should be stopped by the Gov, you will see from the bus just the outer constructions of the sets and those are only of TV serials and not of any movies or anything. Also even if you are planning please do not plan for lunch time tour it is super useless. This tour company should remove that timeslot. This is useless tour seriously.

Total waste of money. Dont go. We have taken tour for 999. 3 hours are wasted in this tour. They showed few broken sets and 1-2 house of TV serial from outside. Than one temple and 1 pound. No live shooting, no stars. In the last they took us to bollywood Park. It was so boring. Duplicate start did one dance performance and pathetic singing performance. There are few probs to take pics. This tour was not even worth for 500rs.

Not much to watch. Waste of time and money. One can travel by tourist bus only. They charge 800/person. For 2 hours, they will show you sets from outside only from bus. (Basically you see nothing) If you are lucky you might get to see outdoor shooting. They will take you to the famous temple and one of the sets and that's it for Rs 800. Overall it's not worth the time and money. You will get to see only the barren lands, jungle and totally covered sets from outside. They didn't even allow to get down at Kapil Sharma's set and take selfies. Quite pathetic. Won't recommend anyone.

Film City Mumbai is a must-visit destination for anyone who is interested in the film industry or is a fan of Bollywood cinema. While there are some drawbacks, the sheer scale and versatility of the complex make it an ideal destination for filmmakers and enthusiasts alike. One of the biggest advantages of Film City Mumbai is its sheer size and scale. The complex spans over 520 acres and has around 20 indoor studios and numerous outdoor locations, including gardens, lakes, and fountains. This makes it a popular destination for filmmakers who are looking for a versatile shooting location. Another notable feature of Film City Mumbai is the availability of modern and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The studios are equipped with the latest sound and lighting systems, and there are also post-production facilities, editing suites, and special effects studios available on-site. This makes it easy for filmmakers to shoot and edit their films without having to move from one location to another.

You just spend 650 Inr per person to visit some dump yards and forest in the name of film sets. Iam not asking to see sharukh or Salman, but show us the film sets from the inside atleast. When you are spending 650 rs, you will at least expect to see some iconic sets and stages. But here the guide just randomly pointed out some dumps, landfills and forest and tells you some xyz movie was shot here. The existing sets were not to be shown to tourists, we could only see rusty tin sheds from outside & just like that you wasted your 650 rs which you could have used to visit the water kingdom or Essel world. Just pathetic, felt like slapping the oversmart guide and asking for a refund..lol!!!

Bad experience. You can only visit those place which images are showed in Map, etc. This review only for Film city tour. This tour could be waste of time+money. As compare to their description, advertising y your experience gonna be bad. If you thinking that you can enjoy/watch any film shooting or live show, then this is mis understanding for you. If you have any contact in this area then it could be better for you, else film city organisers don’t have any proper access to film city by which they can tour you.

The filmcity also known as dadasaheb phalke chitranagari which is situated near sanjay Gandhi national park in goregaon east. It is an integrated film studio complex. It had been spread over an vast area. There is much restriction for local publics for entrance into the filmcity so you have to buy 650 rs ticket for tour in filmcity with guide in bus. There will be one and half or more time of the trip. There are different sets, studios and production houses of big actors and other peoples in it. Many sets are constructed for different sets of serials and movies. Many movies are shoot here in past as well as are shot here. You can see many heroines and hero, produces, photographers, cinamatographers, choreographers and different industry persons. You can see many vanity vans for the actors and actresss for makeup and changing clothes and rest. You can see many houses, rivers, temple, court, helipad, etc which are used during shooting of serials and movies.

as i work here so i know this place. only people with valid id proof can go inside, if you want to visit, then there is a bus tour service for which you can buy tickets from outside the main entrance gate. inside its more of jungle, but full of nature, very beautiful. so many film sets are there, but not always open.. if are planning to visit then better to book tickets online. good luck🙂

Ramoji Film City: A Cinematic Wonderland Ramoji Film City is the world's largest film studio complex, spread over 1,666 acres in Hyderabad, India. It is a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. I recently had the opportunity to visit Ramoji Film City, and I was absolutely amazed. The film city is a sprawling complex, with something to offer everyone. There are vast gardens, large kitschy statues, replicas of popular historical monuments, open-air film sets, multi-cuisine restaurants, fast food joints, and stylish cafes. One of the highlights of my visit was the bus tour of the film city. The tour takes you to all the major attractions, including the Bahubali set, the sci-fi set, and the Japanese garden. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and provides interesting insights into the history of the film city and the many films that have been shot there. I also enjoyed visiting the various film sets. It was fascinating to see how movies are made and to learn about the different techniques that are used. I was particularly impressed by the Bahubali set, which is one of the largest film sets in the world. In addition to the film sets, there are also a number of other attractions at Ramoji Film City, such as a stunt show, a bird show, and a cultural show. I didn't have time to see all of the attractions, but I enjoyed the ones that I did see. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Ramoji Film City. It is a great place to visit for people of all ages. Whether you are a film lover, a history buff, or just looking for a fun day out, Ramoji Film City has something to offer you. Here are some additional tips for visiting Ramoji Film City: * Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing a lot of walking. * Bring a hat and sunscreen, as the weather can be hot and sunny. * Carry a water bottle with you, as there are limited places to buy water inside the film city. * Arrive early to avoid the crowds. * Purchase your tickets online in advance to save time. * Take the bus tour to get a good overview of the film city. * Plan your visit carefully and choose the attractions that you are most interested in seeing. I highly recommend visiting Ramoji Film City. It is a unique and memorable experience.

We took this tour with some anticipation but it proved slightly disappointing. The tour guide tried his best to make it interesting..But how much could he do? The tickets cost 600 per head. They provide a small bottle of water and a small packet of wafers. A mimicry artiste started off the tour with some acting which was avoidable. Then the tour guide Vijay Kumar Sharma took over. He provided information about sets which was interesting but if you're not allowed on a set it doesn't quite sink in. It was just a drive through the film city with sets and locales being pointed out. There was a 20 minute break for tea after which we thought that there was more..But the tour ended!! The guide must cut down on his speech and songs. He kept on singing!! Certainly needs to be trimmed and made more people friendly.

Disappointing tour. I went with my family today, and we were all very excited to see the sets and the work that goes behind the scenes. We had to pay 500 rs. per person (there were 6 of us) and we travelled by bus. We only stopped at 2 stops, a court, and the mandir. They didn't stop at any other stops, and we only got to see them by the bus, and nothing was clear. They said that if we cooperate, they will stop at 3-4 famous stops. Everybody in the bus was extremely cooperative, but still they didn't do as they promised. The tour guide was good, but still very disappointed with the tour. Not worth the money. Wouldn't recommend going here, as it'll only be a waste of time. Nobody can travel anywhere and the entire tour is by bus. Went excited, but came back disappointed.

Film City is an integrated film studio complex situated near Sanjay Gandhi National Park at Goregaon East, Mumbai in India. It has several recording rooms, gardens, lakes, theaters and grounds that serve as the venue of many Bollywood film shootings.[1] It was built in 1977 by the state government to provide facilities and concessions to the film industry.[2] The plan for Film City was prepared and executed under the guidance of V. Shantaram.[3] It was renamed Dadasaheb Phalke Nagar in 2001 in memory of India's first producer-director-screenwriter Dadasaheb Phalke, who is considered father of Indian film industry.[4] It has been the shooting location for almost all Bollywood films. It has all types of location available for shooting including a temple, prison, court, lake, mountains, fountains, villages, picnic spots, garden and even a man-made waterfall.

Cheating and Only Cheating... 1000 rs ticket per person and nothing inside film city if any person is going to visit mumbai its just waste of money and time. First you will be told that inside you will be shown the set, you will be introduced to the actor, you will be shown the shooting, but after going inside you will not get anything. Feels like Hill station visited and settled in Mumbai city, Immaculate natural space. Tiny hills sitting beside a lake through ages. This place is home to wild animals like deer, python, monkey and leapord etc.. visitors are not allowed, but you can take a tour.. don't expect live shoots caz it happens inside sets. But you may see some TV commercial shoot. If one is found without filmcity id, it can cost Rs 750/- . During night leopards get out, so avoid walking alone.. have fun.

Needed To Be More Like Universal Studio Or Ramoji Filmcity, Very UnMaintainted, Too Much Slums, Bad Unmedicated Security, Gates Are Very Shabby, Filmcity Is The Pride Of Mumbai, So Needed More Facilities, Like Good Cafes, Good Restaurants, Best House Keepings, Remove All illegal Structures And Mainly For Worker's Worker's They Should Provide Free Transportation Because Of The Scare Of Leopards And Wild Animals In Filmcity,

A must visit place for all those going to Mumbai tour. It will half a day. There is a bus that takes you around this huge acres of film city with a tour guide that gives you good information about the various spots. If you are lucky you can also spot shootings of serial and movies taking place. All in all a good place to visit and have fun.
