Its a bit hard to climb up but at the end the view is amazing. Don't go on the other side of the fence as it is broken at some points, u will fine more adventure and risk there.

It's a easy trail inside IIT Bombay. Some parts are very sandy, so be careful to slide down. After reaching the top, you will get a mesmerising view of entire IIT, Powai lake, Vihar lake and the adjacent hills.

Aweome place for IITBians for their first weekends in the campus. Its the first place one should go after moving to the campus. The sunset view is fabulous and a small hike with ur buddies is an add-on.

Just went for a trek few days back and it was marvelous view from top. Mind it, that trek road does not exactly show on map. The one it shows is very slippery. So we took inside path near pipes and went up from there. I fell once but it was okay. View was awesome, one side you see in lakes and iitb and good buildings.। Other side is slum and smaller building. Harsh reality. Just from one place can be differentiated. I will suggest go on a dry day to avoid slippery roads and wear good shoes.

Its an awesome place for hiking. It roughly takes an hours to climb it & enjoy the majestic breathe taking views. A prefect & nice path has been made to make the climb easy & adventurous. One should not go there after 6pm to 6am.

Sameer hill located in Powai. You can climb trough IIT Campus and from outside campus. Half area of Sameer hill is in IIT campus and half area is in outside of IIT Bombay campus. If you are in IIT Campus there is two ways to climb one is from K-yantra lab and other one way is from Udaygiri building. There is good road from Udaygiri building. Very good point for hiking. In outside area there are two temples.

Sameer hill is located within IIT Bombay campus, although the trek is very small about 20-30 mins will take one to the top of hills, the view and wind at top will surely be a treat. The top of the hillock has a boundary marking the end of campus. Good escape for students during weekends or for that matter any day of week. Always remember safety first, won't recommend going there at night.

One of the best places on campus for an early morning visit! The sunrise is a great sight. You might wanna be careful as the road is tricky and usually hard to find for first timers...

You'll get wonderful landscape of Mumba city, IIT campus, Virar lake, Powei lake in each direction, Allowed to visit between 6am to 6pm. Best time to visit is in the morning before 8am.

  • 5/5 Piyush 6 years ago on Google
Great view from the top. You can see amazing views of both powai as well as vihar lakes. The height of hill is not much and one can easily climb it in 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure to climb down before sunset as leopards are known to visit it after sundown

  • 5/5 Niraj P. 5 years ago on Google
A very small hike, hardly takes 15 20 minutes. But the view from top is pretty good. The IIT Bombay Campus, Powai lake and Vihar lake are visible from the top and view is good. It is not recommended to visit this place after it gets dark (The wildlife here is lit). Every IITBian is recommended to visit Sameer Hill atleast once, especially in the freshmen year.

  • 3/5 Tenzin D. 4 years ago on Google

"GO WITH YOUR BUDDIES AND FRIENDS (MALE) HERE FIRST" Although the view might be worth it, the way and the route does not feel safe. it invoked a sense of fear in me and my partner when we were going to this place the road was through slum and it was a very thin road almost felt like we wouldnt get an autorikshaw for coming back out of that place , we took a U turn midway and dropped the plan going there as a couple ,At least for first timer.

  • 3/5 MR S. 1 year ago on Google
Brilliant black and white movie that gets you right inside the cells, inside the prisoner's perspective, right inside the action with extremely well done use of point of view shots. You can almost feel the unbearable heat and the sounds of flies and mosquitoes give you the hideous feeling of being trapped inside this man made hell yourself. Sidney Lumet's direction is excellent. The ensemble cast are all on point, bringing in beautifully pitched performances. I feel now like I've visited this hideous hell for myself in some way. The things men do to one another for power and prestige in this god forsaken sadistic place is too real. Makes me sad thinking about so many soldiers having to have endured such insane figures in authority and the madness of it all. No wonder so many come out of service permanently damaged mentally. I had to keep lowering the volume with all the shouting it was too much just watching. Having said all that it certainly is a must watch film, if for no other reason than to see how twisted military organizations can get and to stay clear of them. Not to say this doesn't happen in other regimented situations too. Funny to think Sean Connery was a huge Bond star by this point having already done Dr No etc.

Not actually a hill. Just a landmark inside IIT campus. Don't go there expecting a hike. A part of some institute inside IIT, very near to the residential area. Peaceful and quiet.
