Awesome place to visit for a Trail walk.. so many species of birds and trees.. if you're lucky, you'll find leopard 🐆 too. Very peaceful place. Just inside the film City. Go along with the guide, because there are many places whose significance is great but we missed seeing it.. like Ghost Tree and the lake, etc.. must visit once.. while going and coming you will find many shooting sets of TV Series like - Sath Nibhana Sathiya and lick up, etc. We were lucky to find an ongoing shooting too. Tickets for the reserve are Rs. 200 and guide charges around 1500 per hour. To go inside you will have to have a BNHS person with you with BNHS i-card. Camera and own food, both are allowed inside.. Wada pav and nature walk is the deadliest combo which we enjoyed over there. Butterfly garden is also very good . Just next to parking.

Detailed review A part of Borivli National park that managed by a wildlife NGO named BNHS. Entry fee is 150/head on weekdays and 200/head on weekends. Its an education centre of BNHS. Its open for all age groups, schools, corporates, birthday parties. They offer educational nature trails, educational courses, audio-visual sessions and other season special events. This place has excellent butterfly garden, wildlife hide, auditorium, small amphitheatre and office. They provide guides who are best in nature trails. A must visit place to get knowledge about nature. A hidden gem in the mumbai.

Beautiful forest. With less human interruption, It's a forest where people are not allowed to go in. As it's a part of nation park which connect goregaon to borivali. Half a part of forest comes in goregaon flimcity rest is still a forest . Animals are free in forest like, dear, cheeta, monkeys, Snake. So for safety people are not allowed there is no place to enjoy with family and friends inside as it's very resky.

A great initiative by the BNHS organization. I loved the way they provide guides with real knowledge and who actually belong to the field of science. Carry mosquito repellent with you and make sure to enjoy the sounds of the nature without disturbing the flaura and fauna. They conduct workshops frequently and you can check out their social media pages for the same. An amazing experience and must visit for curious nature enthusiast!

Bombay Natural History Society is Like a Diamond in a Coal Mine.! BHNS is a huge jungle in the heart of Bombay. The main gate is through Borivali and the ticket fares are minimal. There are many scenes to here. The land is filled with wild animals especially monkeys, elephants and even lions.

A natural treat to Nature and wildlife lovers from Mumbai... A lush green patch of over 30 acres in Filmcity ... very neatly maintained and secured from wildlife and bio-diversity point of view. They have recently modified their building with proper auditorium and so many other facilities. They have build a very nice butterfly garden with lots of butterfly host and nectaring plant. A treat for nature / butterfly lovers and photographers to shoot so many species a single point. You can find good spots / trails for Nature photography. We can even see glimpses of Leopards also like pug marks, scratch marks on tree trunks etc. The bird activity is also very good and you can see Asian Paradise Flycatcher or Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher here on regular basis.

Bombay Natural History Society Reserve is located near Film city in the forests of Aarey. On the other side of this BNHS reserve lies the thick forests of Sanjay Gandhi National Park . Many kinds of plants, birds, herbs, snakes, etc prevail here. It's a green house between busy Mumbai

Known as BNHS CEC this is a hidden gem tucked away inside film city. Boasts of some of the best trails around Mumbai, popular being the Salim Ali trail. Entry is possible during the various conservation education sessions they have in or with a BNHS member. Monsoons is the best time to visit. Had some stunning view of Mumbai and it's surroundings. Do take time out n try to visit.

Lovely nature reserve deep in the heart of goregaon. It is so rustic and wild that you feel transported into another world. They have a walking trail as well.

Solace in the middle of the city. Kudos to BNHS to maintain this oasis or else would have been gulped by the hungry BMC and film city people! Best place for guided walks and to get you child to get some fresh air. If you are lucky might encounter some deer, wild boars or even leopards. There is a butterfly park as well. Best time to go is in monsoons.

Glad to know that we have such organisations in India working to save and protect so many species. However, the items that are available on sale are at exorbitant prices. Such that they arent even worth spending. A cloth sling bag for 990???? A small cloth wallet for 500? Really?? Do u thinks Indians are fools to spend so much unnecessarily? Surely not worth it. Avoid buying

If you want to experience nature at its best in the heart of Mumbai, go the BHNS CEC for a nature walk organised by the genial folks at BHNS... Besides a butterfly park and a rivulet in their own captive forest trail, catch some lustrous wild life (monkeys, snakes, scorpions and tons of insects)

Knew about this place but it was a chance visit years later that has made me fall in love again. My 1st visit was a very short visit but later visits have been longer and hopefully it continues. There is so much to discover here. Lots of birds and butterflies. Chance spotting of leopard which always roams around. Waiting for more visits

What a hidden treasure in Mumbai and excellent team willing to share a lot of practical learning about the jungle, animals and the pretty butterfiles. This places is butterfly factory and a truly open one vs the typical closed butterfly parks.
