Powai is a sea of take out and delivery joints, very rarely does come a restaurant that strikes all the right chords, Punjabi roots is one of them. It's a vegetarian restaurant with one of the most authentic and lip smacking Punjabi food you can find in Mumbai, the food is delectable and homely. One of my favourites here has to be the cheese garlic kulcha, which is served with a side of chole and pickle, it's a meal in itself, be sure to try that! Also, why I said this restaurant strikes all the right chords is because not only is the food on point, it's their packaging what makes them stand out from the pack. The Kulchas are packed in convenient pizza boxes with its sides packed in plastic containers, it's supremely easy to consume and dispose. Never has having Indian food been so easy. In a busy suburb like ours, these small little things make our life simpler and are highly appreciated.

The food is good but the management is dishonest and cheat. I ordered for my food at 9.59 pm and was supposed to be delivers by 10.54 pm, which never arrived till 12.40 am. The manager, the owner (Meeka) all kept giving me excuses and at a point even called me a liar. When finally the chole bhature that I ordered were at my doorstep it was only bhature. This establishment is really bad. Avoid at all costs.

They misguide customers. If you order something they deliver something else which is expensive than your actual order and take payment forcefully.

Only take-away. Slightly over-priced for the quality they offer. Paranthas are better at Oye Kiddan! Here its more maida less stuffing. Takes a lot of time to deliver even at a 200m distance.

A small restaurant. An franchise of zemato also. Need not bother for rush. Very safe place as it is situated in a placed surrounded by mostly residential flat around it . It is adjacent to Powai lake heights, Income Tax colony. Bank of Baroda and Andhra bank officer colony.

Good food. Tiny place so not suggested for a dine in experience. Their order delivery is quick and efficient and economical. Food is quite delicious.

Good food. Hygiene might look compromised. However, post regular visits, no trouble

Horrible taste & very very low portion, we literally have to reorder from some where else after getting food from Punjabi roots. Sheer waste of time, energy & money too

The taste of food was horrible and the management doesn't know how to talk to people. They should learn to be diplomatic and not bother or irritate people. I would never recommend this horrible place to anyone.

The food is really good. Service is very slow as they don't have a proper serving place, there's just 1 table to sit outside. It's mainly a home delivery service. Variety is limited but good. Order food home don't go to eat there.

Pretty good option for Punjabi snacks - dahi bhalle, chats, aloo chat, parantha etc. it’s quite value for money as well. They don’t have much seating place so we usually order from swiggy.
