A good option for a pure vegetarian combination of prime dine and unlimited thaali. They serve an amalgamation of Rajasthani, and Gujarati thali. Good food, great service. We went to celebrate a couple of birthdays and they arranged cakes for us on order. It was a good experience. The quality of food is pretty great. However, for a thaali that costs almost 2500 per person, you can't help but expect more. I have had much better thaali experiences at places that charge less than half of what is charged here. I understand that the charge is for the whole experience which includes the ambience and location and all. But the core of any restaurant experience is the food and hence I couldn't help but compare. They serve 3 vegetables curries and 1 option in pulses, along with daal and salad. They also have pretty great bread options, fresh and soft and worth mentioning. Apart that these you have farsaan/starters in the form of dhokla, samosas, kebabs etc. Buttermilk was great too. You can choose between ice cream and kulfi for dessert which was pretty good as well. All in all a good experience if cost is not a factor.

Probably the only Rajasthani & Gujarati speciality restaurant in a five-star hotel in Mumbai, Tuskers has some authentic dishes which doesn't fail to impress the taste buds. This was my second visit to this restaurant. I tried a set menu here, and it had 4 appetizer choices ( I tried only 3 ), 5 main courses ( I tried two ), rice, 3 bread options and 2 desserts. In the appetizers, Ajmeri Subz Ki Seekh was slightly stiff filled with veggies, Makai Cheese Roll was soft & mildly sweet, and Mithania Mirch Ka Panner was soft & mildly spicy. The instructions to prepare the latter less spicy as possible were followed properly. The serving time for the first order was ~12 mins, which is less than what such dishes usually take. The default portion was 3 pieces. I repeated one quantity of each item and the average time to serve ( on the second count ) was 7 mins. All three were delicious. Coming to the main course, Sangri Ke Kofte and Subz Panchmela, both towards the sweet side, were amazing. The initial quantity served was a bowl full, ~125 gms. I paired them up with some butter kulchas, which came up in about 5 mins, medium-size. There are limited & common options in desserts, the normal Gulab Jamun in small size, the default serving being 1 available in both hot and cold, topped up with tiny pieces of almond and pistachios. Perhaps a large-size Kala Jamun would have been a better option. Nonetheless, the Gulab Jamun was scrumptious. The second order of Gulab Jamun though took ~15 mins, and I had to give them a reminder. Thanks to one of the managers ( I don't remember the name ) who was there around to ensure that everything was going well. Not to forget that he offered me a couple of complimentary mocktails, off the menu, all I had to say was one or two ingredients. One was primarily khus-based, it was quite sui generis, and very good. However, I didn't like the other one, cranberry-based with some pineapple cuts in, which was very sweet and overall looked to be a bad combination. Despite peak hours, the food serving time was reasonable, and the overall quality of service was excellent. All the items had unlimited servings, and the cost was Rs 3,000 + taxes, which in my opinion is on the high side, however on various online applications one would generally be able to find ~25% discount. The seats are more or less of the same type, and there are about 15-18 tables in total, so the restaurant area is quite big, although not as big as the global cuisine restaurant - Pondichery Cafe ( review separately available ). The ambience is good too. I will surely visit again.

Best restaurant in BKC Area offering Pure Vegetarian Food in form of Gujarati Thali. Staff is very polite and cooperative!! Chef and waiters personally pay attention explaining all Food varieties. Specially I loved Rotala made of Milate Nachani. Chef Pratap was excellent with smile face! At service Prit, Dhrumil and Pankaj were best treating likely homely service.

Visited Tuskers for the mewar to marvar food festival which was a thorough Rajasthani fare curated by two home chefs who came down from their respective cities. We started with a thandai which was perfectly spiced. For appetizers we had lilva kebab, paneer and mirchi case. The kebab was well balanced made with green vegetables. The paneer was excellent. Soft and very fresh. Loved it. The mirchi vada was different from the usual ones. Stuffed with Dal and coated with besan powder. Coming to mains, we tried the raw banana lotus root kofta, Shahi gatta and Papad sorts of a sabji with panchamel dal, gatta pulav and lacha paratha. Everything was delicious. Loved the kofta and gatta pulav most. Ended the meal with gundar pak, badam halwa and bajra halwa. Loved the badam mung dal halwa. All three were a little too sweet for me but really good. Overall a lovely experience at the festival. Food-4.5/5 Ambiance-4/5 Service-4.5/5 Vfm-4/5 Return index-4/5

Been there for the second time in six months, this time had the set lunch. While the decor and all is good, unfortunately, I found the food just about average. At those prices, not worth it. Ps. If you are an Accor plus member, you get 20% off

Go the Traditional way with Marwadi Food @Tuskers,Sofitel Place : Tuskers, Sofitel Cuisine : Pure Vegetarian, North Indian Category : Luxury, Fine Dining, Five star What? Marwadi Food Festival Ambience: Indian Royal would be two words. Beautiful curtains surround the place while dim lights take over. Every table has delicate candles and comfortable seating. They also host private dining area. Food: It was bang on. I was hesitant on trying Marwadi. But it took me aback. My favorite was jalebi Chaat where the the jalebi was presented amidst tangy flavours like coriander chutney, meetha chutney and more. Chef Vinay Kumar and his colleague did a fabulous job. We loved the tandoori paneer. Also kadhi wada was nice. Another twisted what we liked was how dahi bhalla was roasted and it tasted yum Next up we had thandai and it was SO GOOD. Not too sweet but it yet had the powerful flavours. We tried Dal bati churma and the let me tell you, the churma was to die for . We loved our roti and sabji. The corn palak was welcome twist and Dal was also wonderful. We ended it up with hot jalebis and Rabdi. We loved it. The feel: Marwadi singers enrapturing the crowd. Can you imagine the traditional feel? Also, there was a bangle maker . He made bangles in front of you . It was so lovely. We had our stomachs full and hearts full filled at the end . The festival is on till the 13 May . Also traditionally it hosts wonderful food.

November 3, 2022 Tuskers is every bit of a lavish culinary experience. It is one of the restaurants in Sofitel building at BKC. Sofitel spells grandeur with its golden gleaming chandeliers, a spacious reception area and a warm, welcoming staff. Tuskers is on the first floor. Tuskers’ interiors are a perfect blend of wood, marble and glass, with traditional Rajasthani/Gujrati artefacts placed in different corners gleaming in yellow lights. The door succeeds in giving you the feel that you are being welcomed to a royal affair. Special mention for the elephant printed carpet and trunk shaped door handles; it goes to show that the space has been done up mindfully. The soft folk music in the background adds to the pleasant experience. Given the ambience, it is best suited for a family or a corporate lunch/dinner. I would pick it for a date too but then the date needs to appreciate vatavaran over atmosphere. :p We were a group of 14 adults with good appetite at the dinner table. Most of the items on the menu were ordered. Everything ranged between good and excellent. We started with one round of drinks followed by several rounds of food. Papad/Salad and Chaat: Started with makai khichya, Rajashthani dahi pakodi and nawabi aloo tikki. I loved the aloo tikki. Rajashthani dahi pakodi was flavorful. Plus points for the sweet curd and generous serving. :) Appetizers: Mathania mirch ka paneer and bharwan makai aloo. Bharwan makai aloo stole the show. The chef excelled at making any combination of makai (corn) and aloo (potato). Mains: Sangri ke kofte, paneer butter masala and kathiyawadi ringna no olo with an assortment of breads. Sangri ke kofte was mouth melting! Highly recommended with phulkas. One portion has three palm sized phulkas. Masala khichdi with Rajasjthani kadi was table’s favourite! Comfort food done right. Ended the dinner with malpua. One portion has three puri-sized malpuas. These were average. They did not match the expectations set and met by the appetizers and main course. Tuskers is an expensive restaurant. However, once in a while, there is no harm in relishing authentic Rajashthani cuisine while being treated like royalty. Recommended for special occasions.

Just Average pure veg. food. Polite and well trained staff. Honestly apart from being Sofitel and expensive nothing great about it. We were 15 if us for Raskshabandhan Dinner. The menu was set. A lot many other extremely good restaurants would most definitely be our next time choice. Eg. Soam, Chetna delivery much better taste of food.

Visited for lunch. Wasn't aware that only thali will be available for lunch. But it turned out to be a decent experience. The taste of all the food items was amazing and authentic. Service can be a bit faster. Spent a good time. Used zomato carnival offer that made the visit a great deal for money.

Every couple of months, I always look forward to what food festival is Sofitel BKC hosting! Its almost become like a routine for me to head to this Elite property and try different cuisines and delicacies across their amazing restaurants. I have been lucky enough to witness the Moroccan and Malaysian Food Festivals at Pondichery Cafe. They also have "Tuskers" which is located on Level 1 of Sofitel BKC. Tuskers - another word for Elephants is a vegetarian only restaurant. Heading straight to what I was treated to, at this amazing Royal Cuisine of Marwar at Tuskars especially curated by the amazing chefs - We started our meal with Makai Ki Raab (Makki ki Raab) - Presented in a soup form, Makai Ki Raab is a hot beverage made of corn and buttermilk / curd. A unique tangy preparation and one of the most loved and preferred drink in Rajastha, especially during winters! Superb I must say! Moving to the Appetisers, we started with the Shekhavati Subz Achari Tikka - Vegetable Tikkis with overtones of Mango Pickle which melt in your mouth! Fantastic, loved it! Next we had the Surkh Lal Dahi Bhalla - Urad Dal dumpling minced with Surkh Lal Chilli Powder. Spicy! But it is toned down with some creamy yoghurt! Lastly we had the Paneer Ke Sule - Grilled Cottage Cheese cubes which have a strong flavor of clove. Unique taste and very different from what you will have anywhere else! Post the starters, we tried Dal Baati Churma - one of the most famous Rajasthani preparations! A signature dish! It isn't a part of the chef's special curated menu, but we tried this. We got 3 separate bowls, 1 with the Dal - with tadkas in ghee, 1 with Baatis (Flaky Round Breads) dipped / fried in ghee and 1 bowl with Churma - with sugar and jaggery! The right way to have this is, take the baati, break it, put some Dal and have it with Churma! The three together, make a very filling and satisfying meal. Simply amazing and miss this at your own risk! Must have! Next what we tried was very unique and something that I couldn't think of! Jalebi Chaat! We all know Jalebi are Indian sweets and sweet mixed with chaat? Un-sweetened Jalebi served with curd, Mint Chutney, Imli Chutney and lots of spices! Unique combination, must have and must try again! Moving to the Mains, we were presented with a Rajasthani Thali with Dal, Vegetables, Assorted Breads, and Rice!  Getting into details - Dal & Vegetables / Curries - Dal Angara - Black Lentils with tadka of Clove and Jeera Angoori Rasgulle Ki Subzi - Un-sweetened angoori rasgulle tossed in onion-tomato gravy Govind Gatta - Royal texture of besan gatta given by shaping it into stuffed balls and cooked in a rich curry made with mawa and curd Ker Sangri - Traditional Rajasthani Dish made of Berries and beans, cooked with a variety of masalas Panchratan Dahi Subzi - Blend of 5 selected vegetables - Gawar, Chawli, Cucumber, Capsicum and Turai cooked in curd, tomato and indian spices Paneer Chutney Masala -  Cottage Cheese Cubes mixed with green chutney, yoghurt with cashew paste! Assorted Breads - Bikaneri Paratha - A mix of coriander powder, red chilli powder, asafeotida, dried mango powder, garam masala powder and Bengal gram put in whole wheat flour to prepare a Bikaneri Paratha. Til Kalonji Paratha - Til and Black Seeds (Kalonji) used in Wheat and Maida flour! Rice Preparation - Ker Aur Mawe Ka Pulao - Saffron tempered Basmati Rice with Ker Berries from Rajasthan Bajre Ki Khichdi - A warm and comforting khichdi made with bajra and moong dal Finally for desserts, we tried the Mango Shrikhand which came with the Thali. Yummy! And to end, the Malai Ghevar - extremely popular Rajasthani dessert - disc shaped sweet cake topped with fresh malai. Perfect way to end our scrumptious meal at Tuskers!

I was on a day trip to BKC recently and was searching for good vegetarian restaurant and found this place. Very good ambience and tasty food. I don’t post reviews, however I would like to thank Amol for giving me one of the best experiences. Amol was quick to understand what I was looking for and he gave attention to every details, recommending different food to try out and even insisted, all with a natural smile :). I loved the pan flavored kulfi! I will definitely visit this place next time I am in a Mumbai.

Visited today on the occasion of my father’s birthday who loves Marwari food. And happy to say not just the food but the service blew us away. They have a cyclical thali menu for lunch and we were disappointed to not see gatta on it, when we communicated this to the manager he himself offered to add that to our menu despite it being a fixed thali menu. Mr Prit was exceptional in his service and Chef Pratap prepared a delectable spread. They also surprised us with a cake to mark my father’s birthday which was an extremely sweet gesture. Must visit place for someone looking at Rajasthani Veg dining.

Pathetic service. I wish I could rate it zero or less then that. For glass of water we had to wait 10 minutes and need to call server again and again please serve water. No one was paying attention like what we need and hows everything going on. They just served in begining and all left the table unattended. Food was very costly and not worth for the price-Overcharged price. We didnt feel like ordering anything again for second time. After paying such a huge amount no one had courtesy to offer mouth freshner. Its embarassing and I wont suggest this for family dinner ever.

The food taste not authentic.serve ready made all together is waste of food. You are not asked for your choice. They just serve all together They serves papad dhokla Kachori first so that you can’t enjoy main course. Main course takes time. 2500+~ for one person and no good taste not worth. It is hybrid thali where some Rajasthani,Gujarati & Punjabi food together. Only the sweet mohanthal and butter milk were tasty.

Kaliram Chat - Sofitel (Tuskers) is hosting Chat festival which started on 9th August. This goes on till 18th August. One can enjoy the famous Chats of Kaliram. Their presence in Delhi is there since 11 years now. Mostly into catering. Their forte is getting new Innovative and creating Special chats. Menu changes each day at Sofitel (at least 2/3 chats) apart from the regular. Tried some of their Chats the other day. Made of high quality ingredients (they do not compromise on quality) some are made from Desi Ghee. When it comes to Chaat its mandatory to start with Delhi Kolkata GolGappa. Here they have 3 kinds of Puri and 2 kinds of flavoured water. (Normal Puri/ Suji and the crispy Rice puri - worth Trying) Mint and tamarind water. Both are stuffed with potato/chickpeas/chaat masala. Had a good taste. Served chilled. Bhature Bites - this was something different. Tangy/spicy. Bhature Fried stuffed with white chickpeas/carrot pickles green peas and masala. Cut into half and served. Also had onions/capsicum. Worth a try. Paan Ki Chaat - this is their signature chat. Betel leaf (Paan) crisp (Fritters) topped with tamarind chutney/mint chutney some chillies/chaat masala potato and onions. Gives that spicy/spicy tangy taste. Assorted Moonlet - this again is innovative. Basically savoury pancake. This is made out of green gram shallow fried in butter (like a Chilla) Stuffed with Paneer and broccoli. Topped with tomato/onion/capsicum/cilantro. A tad oily. Tasted good. Served 2 types of chutneys. It's either a hit or a miss. I could not opt for this given a choice of another chaat. Dahi Papdi Chaat/Dahi Bhalla - famous up north. Apart of the Papdi and Bhalla the other ingredients were same. Monotonous in taste and texture. Nawabi Tikki - wow this was the star dish of the day. It's basically pan seared Mashed potato served with spicy chickpeas. Topped with homemade chaat masala. Tamarind/chutney. Garnish of diced onions and coriander. Spicy/tangy made well. Tasted good. Ram Ladoo - This was different as well. This is made out of lentils. Deep fried savoury. Topped with Tamarind chutney and garnish of shredded radish. Overall take - good. I hope they have their other signature chaat on the menu in rotation (Kachori/Laccha Tokri/Kesar Dahi Bhalla/Aloo Masala Chaat/Cold dry Fruit chaat/Fruit ki Kulia/Delhi style Bhel Puri and others) Wishing this festival all the success and special thanks to the team who has flown from Delhi with their spices and other ingredients. Done well. Keep it up. Cheers.

Just loved the food over here. Restaurant is at 1st floor at Sofitel Hotel. Overall very good food. May be little high on pocket. We tried different dishes and loved most of them. Weekend you need to go little early if possible. Ambiance is also very good. One can enjoy sitting outside the restaurant as well.

We were a family of 3 and went there for lunch buffet and even though most of the tables were empty we were told that they are fully booked for the day. We had to request them to get us seated wherever possible and had to wait so much and request multiple times for chapati. Average service and below average food. Not worth the money.

It's a nice luxurious place where you can get gujurati madwadi thali. They have stopped Ala carte for some time. You get one thali per person at a cost of 2000 per thali

Overpriced food. They had no menu and didn't even share the prices before serving. Pizza is only decent food for which I give another star besides one. The food was not even good. The rice was half cooked and the kadhi was sweet. Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off. Just order a pizza.

Those waiting can start by scoring some vit D outside and slowly sweat their way to the damp of about 300 diners inside, letting off steam under the first fans Bombay saw in the 60's (50's or 70's??).
