Bharat Cafe is a popular restaurant in Ghatkopar West, Opposite Railway Station, which serves various Chinese, Fast Food, North Indian and South Indian food, etc. Price The Restaurant has 2 sections. AC and Non-AC. The Non-AC section is cheaper and the AC section is slightly expensive. The Punjabi gravies shall be expensive then the south Indian dishes but still reasonably priced as most south Indian Hotels. Meal for two shall not cost you more than Rs 500-600 which is not too expensive. Serve Timing For south Indian Dishes it might be around 5 minutes, For Punjabi dishes it might be around 15 minutes. There can be huge rushes during peak hours as the restaurant is in a crowded area and opposite to the railway station. Ambience As the restaurant is located opposite the railway station and it’s a quite busy area, and the streets are crowded throughout the day till about 10 PM in the night. The decor of this place is very simple. They have comfortable and spacious seating arrangement. Avoid getting own vehicle as you might not find parking space. It makes more sense to come here by a Public transport instead.

Situated a stone's throw away from Ghatkopar Rly Stn, and one of the oldest restaurants in the vicinity, Bharat Cafe ( formerly a south Indian speciality restaurant ) is a multi-Indian cuisine restaurant. This was my third visit to the restaurant, and I tried the same primary dishes which I had tried on previous occasions - Butter Sada Dosa and Butter Onion Uttapam. The former was as crispy as it always is, a medium portion coming out of the plate. Both were eaten with chutney, which may not be amongst the very best eaten in South Indian speciality hotels, still it was very good. For the latter, it was medium-soft textured, had a good quantity of onions in it and was medium-sized. Taste consistency has been maintained well. I also tried their special Mysore Pak Ice cream, this was my first try of this flavour. It was authentic, and one could feel the rich ghee flavour which is associated with Mysore Pak. The ice cream was available only in one size ( small ) and was decently priced. One thing in particular which I have liked in all these visits has been the efficiency of the staff. This cafe has over 40 tables on the ground floor itself, and the area is clearly the largest in the vicinity, yet there have never been delays in taking or bringing orders. And it is appreciating given that the cafe is busy and largely occupied throughout the day. Come in the evening hours ( and onwards ), and the queue just gets bigger. One thing which the restaurant may want to change is that the Wash basins don't have mirrors and are not separated by a curtain or any barrier, such that people who have seats close to it will have a direct view of it. There is an AC unit on the first floor. The cafe is more of a restaurant one can say given it's tables ( one type of table at medium height ) and has a comparatively less-fashionable background. I found the fans attractive through. Cards are accepted, and the cafe is pure vegetarian. On the weekends, it will take a long time to get a seat, and prior reservations cannot be made.

We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Uttapam, and Dahi Idli. The dosa and uttapam were okay in taste. The chutney and sambhar also tasted good. Now, about the DAHI IDLI, we paid ₹100 and got two large idlis soaked in overly sweet curd. It was basically like Dahi Vada, but instead of vada, they used idlis. We didn't know it would be sweet when we ordered it. The waiter didn't bother to tell us that it would have a sweet taste. I found out after taking the first bite. It was too sweet, and they should have put it in the dessert section instead of placing it in idli and dosa's section. We couldn't finish it because it was too sweet, and the quantity was too much for a sweet dish.

Yesterday we had food at Bharat Cafe restaurant, the staff there did not even talk to us that our food was served so well, our staff was talking as if they were serving food for free, complained to the manager but none of the staff even apologized. .and the quality of food was also bad. Money was taken for money but the quality of food got spoiled due to delay and quantity was given less so please check photo. Staff behevier is very bad and my experience his food is not safe. So everyone before checking quality.

The South Indian food here is authentic and tasty. Serving staff is not helpful with the suggestions as per customers needs. The atmosphere is family driven and less chaotic. The food delivery takes a lot of time.

The south Indian food here is just like a big wow❤️ They serve the best south Indian food in ghatkopar. I tried Butter masala dosa and butter sada dosa. The taste as just authentic and it was yumm made my day ... The staff was less but it was ok and considerable. The ambience was good to see by eyes but the photos were not coming up to the mark.
