My recent visit to this restaurant was marked by a pleasing ambience. While the service was acceptable, the masala papad, unfortunately, remained overly salty even after replacement and lacked flavor. On a brighter note, the dum biryani was a standout, delivering a truly enjoyable taste. However, the unexpected sweetness in the biryani was a surprising and disappointing touch, detracting from an otherwise positive dining experience.

This is one of the worst places to go for lunch for the below reasons : 1) Food was tasteless and the variety of the starters were very less. The chief cook needs Training. Even prawns and Mutton was tasteless. 2) The service was very horrible. U can see only 2 waiters and even the manager was serving food. Few starters came after we went for the buffet. 3) Not worth for money. Even in the same price, there are so many good restaurants in Andheri. But in the name of exploring more places, our HR choose the quarterly lunch over here.

I always look for quality over quantity and @rootsofindiaandheri justified this so well. I never get time on weekdays to dine in like this because of hectic routine. But sometimes I am lucky. 😊 @rootsofindiaandheri located at Ground Floor, Times Square Building, Marol, easy to trace. Fortunate enough to get my scooty parked otherwise it's difficult. Ambiance is so nice and seating arrangement is perfectly made for couples, families, liquor lovers. However, I wonder there could have been a long waiting during peak up time and why not the place is as such. Why? Let's see. I had buffet lunch, Tomato Dhaniya Shorba was not thick enough but got a perfect tangy taste along with woody flavor of coriander goes well. Kuang Pao Potato was the best and I liked the most followed by Cheese Pakoda and Paneer Tikka Dry. In main course I liked Veg Biryani to the max. The strong flavor of the Biryani spices was popped in with each and every bite. Rita was not sour and went well with Biryani. Chinese Bhel was good and accompanied well. Methi Mutter Malai was definitely sweet but not over sweet. Those who loves spicy food, will definitely avoid this. Soya Kheema was good but could have been better. Mixed Dal was really good as proper spices were used to get that dal fry flavor. Desserts were disappointing actually, Payyasam was so watery, I think may be cos of where they put. That upper portion of the buffet mattock might be responsible for adding extra water and spoiling entire Payyasam. Shahi Tukda with Rabdi was great as bread was soaked up in Rabdi quiet well and gave me balanced flavor of Rabdi and Bread. But I found bread was little tough to chew, may be it's there for long time. Service was quick, starters were hot. Fresh Lime Juice was good. I like the concept of Detox water as well. I loved this place. They didn't compromise on the quality at all. You may find spread little less but you will definitely like taste.

Overall ok food is good service is slow. Discount for group is less. Service tax additional you have to pay. Price is overvalued and quantity is less according to price. For group lunch i will not advice. For dating you guys can go and njoy food plus good ambience. Overall i will rate good

Great place. Food was good. Like all buffet restaurants the starters were mouth watering specially the (Prawns and Chicken tikka). Here the main course also was good compared to barbeque nation. In main course chicken lazeez and paneer makhani was too good.

Today I went with my team for team lunch . We were around 29 members . We tried the buffet . The buffet I believe costs 1000 rs person . These are observations and can vary from person to person 1. Starters Non veg Chicken teriyaki _ for some reason, it had the fish flavor .I checked with a few people, and they also realized the same Chicken kebab _ all though it tastes better than the former. When served, it felt it was cold.. and so lost the flavors. Chicken something.. I had asked the support staff, and apparently, they also did not know .. they went asked inside and came and said something.. so hence I put it as chicken something Some juice was initially served but the fiz died out by the time I started sipping it Let's look at the veg 1. Kebab did taste good but felt too mushy. For some reason .. only starter which served hot 2. Potato fry - again, this felt like it's over kill the flavor was so mixed up. I didn't understand what was being served 3. Spring roll..or should I say crispy spring roll 4. Paneer fry , which was quite soggy Vegetarian dishes felt even more sad. I felt bad for the vegetarians Now let's move to the main course I tried the chicken rara . It was nice but I could not get the roti...apparently you need to order it and wait for it..and by the time they brought my chicken rara got cold.. Then I tried the chicken biryani, which felt nice and tasty . The live pasta was nice, but I did miss the flavors for some reason . Desserts 1. Jilebi . It was nice when it served hot. But when I tried another one later it became so crispy 2. Gulab Jamun was fantastic 3. Moon dal halwa sadly felt the moong to course in my mouth and I just could feel the taste of it.. it was unnecessarily sweet . Well it was team lunch ..so it's fine . I believe that few things which are missing this should be grill in each table so they can serve it hot and stays hot like in BBQ nation.. They need to keep food hot.. the air-conditioning was so fantastic. I felt I got my money worth from not the food but the air-conditioning

I have spend time with my family and had lunch food quality and quality is good and ambiance is too preety but the veg platter is too expensive and not even tasty they charged 2000 for one veg platter which I don't understand why is so expensive and I paid a bill 4000 for only platters which is unexpected and I will not recommend for starters And for the same I have to pay the bill of Rs. 8000 so I waste my money in platters

If you re looking for a place with an absolutely relaxed vibe and delicious food, this is where you should be heading. Roots of India is located bang opposite the Wework building at Sag baug, Marol. They have daily buffets priced at 1299/- for 2 people (prices may vary on weekends and holidays). The ambience is very relaxed, they ve used real plants extensively in the interiors which makes the experience so more better! The service is quick and the staff is very polite, a special shout out to Vishal for being so helpful. Coming to the food, it's delicious! Everything we ate was absolutely yumm! What we had: Sikandari paneer Virgin mojito Virgin gauva mary Thai green curry with steamed rice Oriental noodles (schezuan) .

We went here on a Sunday for the brunch and took a non alcoholic brunch for 999/- which we didn't find it worth the price. The place is pretty small and the food is average. Certain dishes were like we prepare better at home! The only good part of the brunch menu was the rotis - very soft and tasty and was consistent. The other good part was the Appetizers and the main course were all poor. I've always noticed wherever the food is bad the staff's behaviour and helpfulness is best. Same is seen here. They will do their best to make your food experience best. Altogether it's a decent place and for me it's a One time visit place

Went w my family for a Sunday lunch buffet here. Great vibe and great food! The staff is warm and helpful. The food tasted fresh, not overly oily or spicy- very balanced. Will certainly visit again! Edit: visited again. Ala carte this time. The tomato shorba soup is fabulous. Please skip the dahi pakode and the pizza. The dal khichdi is to gobble down w your hands. The dal khichdi saved the meal for us. It is still a fabulous place- they just happen to really specialise in Indian food!

Pathetic Food 👎🏻 Pathetic Service 👎🏻 Will not recommend anyone. Went for Buffet Lunch with team Booked for 7veg & 22Non veg but still they were serving veg all the time. Restaurant staff was serving what’s available not what we asked or requested. I literally went to chef to ask if chicken and fish is getting cooked. Soup : 1/5 (Tomato , Chicken) Non Veg Starter : 1/5 ( Chicken, Mutton Kabab, Fried fish) Veg Starter : 1/5 ( Harabhara Kabab, Paneer tikka, Soring roll, French fries) Main course: 3/5 (Chicken Rara, Hyderabadi Biryani, Veg Biryani, Dal Makhni) Desserts : 0/5 ( Jalebi, Gulab Jamun, Mongdal Halwa)

Good indian food. Well made and fresh. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It may be a little difficult to locate due to the ongoing metro construction but the valet parking always comes to the rescue. The ambience is lively with a well done up bar.

Seating is too congested. Thank God the restaurant was empty else it would have been a total bad experience. Food was good, not great as expected. At one point felt like was dining at a marriage function with the typical buffet items. So yeah Roots of India. ? ?

Roots of India is casual dining restaurant that serves North Indian, Mughlai, Asian and Chinese cuisine along with Kebabs, Briyani and Desserts. It's located at Ground Floor, Tower D, Times Square Building, Andheri-Kurla Road, Marol, Mumbai. With beautiful ambience, interior and decor. We visited here for having dinner with friends. We started our dinner by ordering Raan Paya Shorba. In Starters we had Crackling Paneer & Spinach, Dahi ke Kebab and Sikandari Paneer Tikka in veg appetizers. We also had Mutton Gilafi and Bhatti Da Tangdi Murg in Non-Veg starters. In Main Course we ordered this season special Sarson ka Saag with Makai ki Roti and Paneer Makhani, Dum Ka Murg and Butter Chicken with other Indian breads. We also ordered Daal Makhani and Chicken Dum Biryani. The taste of Dal Makhani was wonderful. Briyani was also made very nicely. In Desserts we ordered Rasmalai, Pista Kulfi and Gulab Jamun with Rabdi. Overall we had fabulous experience here. We really enjoyed alot

The food out here is really amazing. The ambience is so classy and very pretty .. I visited here for the Sunday brunch buffet and my experience was great’. The starters were too good especially the hara bara kebab and spring rolls. The main course had a lot of variety like the Thai curry with fried rice. Then the Kadai paneer with baby Naan was yumm! We also had pani puri which is my all time favourite . The service was super quick and friendly. Then we also had the martini’s - The strawberry one was very refreshing. The presentation was great. Overall it was a marvellous experience .

Good Food, but lacks overall Salt and spice. However, if you tell them that, they will make the food Zingy. Ambience is also quite good. The Indian starters are not their forte. We ordered 5 of them, only 2 were good. The main course however, is really beautiful and Biryani is a must have. Didn't have dessert, so can't comment on that.

I recently visited the place called ROOTS OF INDIA which is situated in marol Naka. It is 7 to 8 minutes walking distance from marol naka metro station. As we step in we were welcomed by welcome drink strawberry delight and refreshing mocktail and cocktails such as: 1 lichi lemon grass 2 Dark Night 3Tells of Twilight 4 little miss subshine We were delighted by Indian style main course with species and lots of flavors, extremely impressive for a Non-vegetarian lover. The menu has a vast range of veg as well as non veg cuisine. Then the starters start with Chicken Tikka,Chicken Black Papper,Yellow Mirch Chicken Tikka etc. Which was freshly cooked and served. Then the main course was served in the form of buffet system which was too amizing. It contain of Chicken Kadai and Mutton Hara Masala which was full of thick greavy and the hands on flavours was too good. For desert there was Gulab Jammun , a unique dish called as FIRNI, ice cream and pastery. I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your friends, family, partner or whosoever you wish to. Do try their famous Fish oyster. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. CHEERS.

Roots of India. Head out to roots of India if you want to discover some authentic and genuine indian cuisines. This place is located in marol times square building (which is famous all over), at walking distance from marol metro station. You also have many BEST busses to this place as it has got a stop just in front of the building. As you enter this place you have a cheerful vibe coming towards you. Its spacious to occupy good number of people at a time. The ambience is decent with soothing environment. And special appreciation for the presentation skills. I Was really impressed with that. At 1st we had been served a welcome drink which was strawberry delight and which was a great way to welcome the customers. Later even detox water was served. The staff was cooperative and they have quick and prompt service. Foremost was the drinks we started off with: ▪︎Dark night ▪︎ Long island ice tea Coming towards the food: The starters which we ordered were: ▪︎Hara bhara kebab ▪︎Paneer achhari ▪︎Veg crispy Moving on to the main course: We had been here for a buffet and it had veg and non veg which even had mutton so all under one roof. Buffet included- ▪︎Gravy- Paneer tikka masala, veg tawa bhaji, chicken kadai, mutton hara masala. ▪︎Rice - Kashmiri pulav, Veg thai fried rice, Mutton biryani. In dessert : ▪︎Gulab jamun ▪︎Firni ▪︎They also had chocolate pastries and a pann flavored cream cup. All together my experience of exploring roots of India was remarkable. Would recommend this place.

Paid a visit to this hidden gem in Marol. And if you are somebody who is craving some delicious food around the area, this is your place. The interior of this outlet is just an added star to it. Their food looked so good and tasted even better. Had started my menu with Raan Paya Shorba. They have an extensive menu of starters as well as the main course. My favourites out of all are; For starters- crackling paneer & spinach, Bhatti Da Tangdi Murg For main course- Thier sarson ka saag and dum ka murg were an absolute delight. Also, had quite reasonable quantity. Butter chicken is great too. Gulab Jamun with Rabadi tops the lists when it comes to deserts. I'm quite a sweet tooth. So, one wasn't enough for me. The rasmalai added a perfect end to my meal their. Overall it was an amazing experience.!.

I recently visited Roots of India located in Times Square, Andheri East. The name is so appropriate as it strongly delivers the best flavours of indian food. The restaurant looks really beautiful with lovely lighting and a very elegant seating arrangement which is extremly comfortable. Staff here is very well trained and gives some great food suggestion based on our taste. We were in a large group so we tried several dishes which are mentioned below. Raan Paya Shorba Crackling Paneer & Spinach Dahi ke Kebab Sikandari Paneer Tikka Mutton Gilafi Bhatti Da Tangdi Murg Main Course Sarson ka Saag Paneer Makhani Dum Ka Murg Butter Chicken Daal Makhani Chicken Dum Biryani Rasmalai Pista Kulfi Gulab Jamun with Rabdi All of the dishes were spot on and it is hard for me to recommend just a few. All I can say is that feel free to order anything from the menu as they make everything with total dedication and mouth watering taste.

You must try the all-you-can-eat buffet here. Great family-friendly environment, classy patrons like yourself and food that is guaranteed to loosen your belt! Whether you're looking for that indulgent fine-dining experience or a corporate lunch get-together, my advice is to go for it.

Amazing experience....perfect taste, quality and quantity. Don’t forget to try their tandoori pizza ...the base is non yeast and super thin. Their gulabjamun jamuns are irresistible. For those who drink alcohol They have a damn good offer...😊

Twice asked for clean cutlery as fork had gravy on it before we were seated and the server did changed but brought another one which was again not cleant. Got around 10 grams of coal along with roti. Had to remind thrice for water. Despite ordering in advance we waited for 10 minutes for rotis. Food was fine however little work can be done on quality. At least people apologize when customer complaints but I guess that courtesy even was missing.

It's got an awesome look, lovely so fresco seating area and fantastic music. The decor is exquisite. The outlet is decorated with nice vibrant and has a pretty bar too. Service was brilliant, nice smiley and proactive servers. Recommendations - Bhatti Da Tangdi Murg & Crackling Paneer and Spinach. Overall experience was excellent and I am definitely revisiting the place soon.

I will never recommend this restaurant to my friends n relatives... food quality is ok... food portion is small not enough...I order starter paneer tikka n found paneer is very hard and rubbery... I asked them for tomato sauce and surprised they gave me one rupee pouches ( of course) free of charge on my table instead of they must serve sauces in bowls... I gave three star coz of ambience of restaurant... it's not worth it as they charged of their food...

Roots of India is one of the finest place in Andheri which gives u an option of Ala carte as well as Buffet. We went there for brunch and it dint disappoint us. For the veg starters, we had Spring rolls, achari paneer tikka, aloo palak tikki. For the Non veg starters, there was Dohara Seekh kebab, chicken tikka. They were well cooked and marinated well. For the main course, there were lots of varieties. For the Indian breads- included lachcha paratha and naan Last and the best part was the DESSERT which was - Gulab Jamun, moong dal halwa, Malai Phirni

Roots of India is an amazing place to dine in with such an amazing ambiance. It's a good place to visit with family, partners or friends as they have both menu dishes and buffet available. They also have a counter for drinks be it cocktails or mocktails with seating. Both thier veg and non veg menu is good, starting from starters to main course. There are 3 to 4 types of desserts served, including ice cream, gulab jamun, firni, etc. So one can have a combination of any of these. There is a counter for chaats as well, right from servings basic chats to dahi puri, etc. All in all, this place is a full packed dine in with variety of option available both in drinks and food.

I visited Roots of India for Sunday brunch with my friends and i was very pleased with interior they have! The Staff was welcoming and following all the precautions. Before entering the place Temperature check and sanitation was done at the entrance. The stafff made us comfortable with friendly gesture . Proper hygeine was maintained. Me and my Friends visited for sunday brunch so starters and drinks were served on our table. Main course was self service because it was buffet system. They had delicious food items in their menu. Taste of each food items were absolutely yummy. The place got crowded as it was Sunday. Family crowds were spotted. Each and every dish served was fresh and Hot. If you are looking for nice place for family brunch or meet up with your friends then you must must visit Roots of India !!!!! For Two : 1499 (Saturday and Sunday) For Two : 1299 (Monday to Friday)

So, I was here for a Sunday brunch. Have always been waiting to try the incredible place. It's an amazing place to spend time with your loved ones. Be it a birthday party, get-together, family occasion, or official lunch, this place stands tall for all of it. The staff is impeccable with all security measurements. Since it was a brunch, you can expect a lot of options from starters to main course and desserts. You can expect a very elite and decent crowd. The ambiance is pleasing with the right seating arrangements which give you the space to breathe and merry. It was a memorable Sunday brunch with talks, glad tidings, and of course the hospitality we got.

ROI is a beautiful restaurant with nice ambience, feels lively as they added lots of plants as a part of ambience. Good place to chill out with friends but they need to work on the music playlist. Food was pretty ok but food service was very slow. Waiters were very humble & quick. Overall we had a good time.

Great ambience and really good food! Their lunch buffet is a must-try (yum-yum!) Improvement areas: More dessert options should be added, Pasta didn't taste very good. Also, they are a bit understaffed, the person serving us seemed to be managing all the tables. However, he was extremely polite and courteous. Overall good experience, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Drinks were good...Do try Adult shake. If you are a spicy fan then do ask for spicy specifically else u will b disappointed. We tried fish tikka which was good. Dum biryani was not so biryani 😅. Decent place to spend time. There was IPL screening as well.

Had been to this place this Sunday. Feel good atmosphere, decor majorly filled with lots of plants. Food is really yummy! Wide range of starters and main course. Dessert section is limited and only area they can improve a bit when its come to varieties.

We were a big group of 25 people. Luckily we chose a mid week day so there was not much crowd. But we had to pre book our table. The menu had a good combination of Indian, Chinese and fusion food. Food was great and we tried everything from Dimsum to Dal Khichdi. What can I say..even the Khichdi was so good. Drinks were great as well. Definitely recommend this place.
