the pork belly is extraordinary, the chef put some apple puree between the skin and the meat to reduce the greasy, it's an amazing idea!! The asparagus served as a side item was very fresh. The tiramisu was very good at the beginning, the rum doesn't cover the coffee favout at all and the texture of the cake is perfect, however, it's a bit too sweet when compared with the traditional one.

Romano's is on the first floor (lobby) of the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. It is an Italian restaurant. The food was good, though lacking in authentic Italian flavors. The service, however, was good. The staff were attentive and efficient. The restaurant's ambience was classy. Prices were reasonable.

Visit 2 I tried salmon and chef special lamb racks here. The former was one of the best I have ever had, while the latter was although good but a little tough to consume. The head chef also visited my table and I enjoyed a few mins of conversation with him. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Visit 3 The popular chef has left, and so have the quality & standards ... A dinner on a fine day at this premium property was not destined to go well. Romano's, a restaurant which I had visited twice before, known for its close to flawless service & dishes, typical Italian style preparation and cuisine, and not to forget the sea bass, which was the best ever I had eaten anywhere in the same level hotels, but now it was all history. Today, the same restaurant had a below-average experience in stock for me. Dishes took longer than the expected time. I had ordered a salmon and a sea bass and was told that it would take 20 and 25 mins respectively, but it took quite longer than that. While the salmon had a flaw, which upon complaining was first met with a response that it was good according to them, but they eventually agreed to replace it. Needless to say, taste buds do differ. Even on the second count, it didn't taste as it normally does. Surely not the first time I have tried it, and in fact, I have tried it in the same property a few times, and it was delicious previously, but this time, no offence intended, tasted weird. The quantity was too small, perhaps the smallest salmon I have eaten hitherto. This is highly likely because of the food festival discount which the restaurant offered. The second dish sea bass was not as good as last time, but still good enough. Again, the portion was quite small. The preparation was also different compared to last time. The bread basket which is otherwise served, wasn't in this case ( I saw other customers getting one ). Again, this could be because I was availing a food festival offer. Even the mocktails took over 15 mins to be served, which is surprising, and instructions of less ice weren't followed. The blue mocktail was on a mild sweet and tangy side, and tasted good. The yellow one was average. The quantity of mocktails was medium. The restaurant was not too crowded either, so the wait time is indeed surprising. Contrary to the case in the same level hotels, no one came to check in how the dishes were, and it was not easy to call the servers. The servers took a long time to come, and even when complained to someone in the coat ( I assume, a supervisor ), I was told sorry, but nothing changed. The supervisor didn't look much concerned about the experience and never came back to check if the concerns were resolved or not. Attempts to resolve the concern at a senior level later ( since they weren't resolved in the restaurant properly ) went in vain. I was told that the issue would be looked into. However, my further messages were met with no response, which talks loudly about how much the senior level cares for the customers. I wouldn't feel like going here again given their overall remiss approach. This wasn't even a four-star service. This is not the brand which I have known.

After Searching a lot for best Italian restaurant found this one. We went here on our anniversary. The service started from the time I reserved a table to the moment I left. They called to ask if we had a special request and got almost all done. We had A minestrone soup, linguine pasta pink sauce, Arabiatta Pizza and a Cake (complimentary for anniv). My Fav was the pink sauce linguine pasta, it was cooked like the Italians do and the sauce was ohh god so amazing. Second best was the pizza. The soup was decent. This place IS Expensive with bold E but perfect if you wana splurge on Good Food on special occasions. The Negroni was soooo good. Even Romanjito was good. The cake was so delicious. We were surprised that they actually gave us a full sized (1/2kg) cake instead of just a pastry. We obviously took some home and everyone Loved it. Overall we found our go to place for Authentic Italian cuisine closest to the one we are in Italy. Will definitely visit again, often. Thank you for the great service and food. Ps. All safety protocol are in place for Covid precautions.

Was truly appalled, we had a live cockroach on our table. Lost appetite, no words. While the restaurant was apologetic, but nothing can be a good enough explanation for a restaurant in JW Mariott to justify this. Signature lamb dish tasted very strange with a strong taste of refrigeration. Pizza was okay.

Visited Romano's recently for a special occasion, and my husband and I were floored by the place. It's got lovely high ceilings so you have a feeling of space, which is rare in Mumbai. The service was impeccable. Our host Niket was so knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. But above everything else, the food and the cocktails were delicious. The wine poached pears were smooth and luxurious; the bruschetta came with unique toppings like fava bean, artichokes, chickpeas, and mushrooms, and it was all so good. We chose eggplant parmigiana as our main course, and were not disappointed at all. I wanted to try a few different desserts, but we settled for the chocolate mousse with Nitro frozen raspberries (an absolute delight), and took the lemon ricotta cake home for the next day. Highly recommended!!

A very confusing place. Expensive but way too noisy to be luxurious. Very well laid menu but not served well. Seems luxurious but the furniture and tableware is worn out. We were cordially given the worst table in the house even after a reservation. Moved to another table when we protested of course. Our salad butchered while being served. Cutlery never turned up. Yet the crew was very well mannered and courteous. I think it's upon the management to fix it. I don't think I'll want to return. Like I said, it's a confusing place. Maybe it had it's glory days but most are behind it.

The food and wine wasnt bad at all. The cannelloni had a little extra salt in it. But the issue we faced was with service. For the kind of money u charge and for the kind of setup it's supposed to be, the service was below standard. It took the staff fifteen mins to come serve us. No water and wine refills were offered. In short they need more training.

We went on our sons birthday for lunch. From Authentic Italian cuisine to wonderful mocktails, everything is just perfect. Arabiatta Pizza and pink sauce linguine pasta where my favorite one. Ambience was very excellent. All safety protocol for Covid precautions.

Many hotels happen to have restaurants inside. This one, on the other hand, is a first class restaurant that happens to be in a hotel. Some of the best Italian food in memory. Everything was excellent and presented perfectly. We enjoyed the crispy, complementary cheese bread with o & v. Then on to bruschetta piled high with tomato and seasoning, house-made gnocchi that is probably the best we've ever had, chicken parmigiana that was very tasty and not drowning in marinara, accompanied by perfectly seasoned vegetables and potatoes served at exactly the right temperature. The sea bass was also incredibly good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very enjoyable, and the service matched the food in quality. It was entertaining to watch the food artisans in the kitchen prepare meals in obviously expert fadhion.

If you've Arbaaz waiting your table, you then don't have to worry about anything. It's a very peaceful and a very cosy kind of a setting. Perfect for a date night. The food was amazing too. Especially the pizza. Will surely visit it again.

One of my most favourite Italian restaurants in Mumbai. The food is almost always delightful, fresh & authentic. The service is always wonderful. Definite must visit for Italian food lovers. Love the burrata, and the pizzas (which they customised for us even though it wasn't on the menu anymore.. I usually order a Tartufo..which wasn't on the menu then. But very sweetly they made it for us)

Absolutely delicious... Highly recommend the lamb shank, the meat was tender and juicy... Could not have been better. If you go there and don't order the tiramisu... you've potentially missed one of the best tiramisus to exist. Our server Earl was the nicest and had a thorough knowledge about the menu.. I suggest taking the advice of the server before ordering.. I had a pizza in the start which filled my stomach up.. The pizza was really good but I feel like next time I wouldnt have it, instead take the servers advice and order something fancier. Compliments to chef Roberto and chef Santosh for making this experience so memorable.
