One of the finest Asian restaurants in Mumbai, the interior is beautiful & warm, view is to die for and the food and service is great. We had some lovely Bloody Mary's and small plates (starters). The prawns starter and dumplings are must to order. The 64% cacao chocolate mousse is to die for. Very warm and friendly staff especially Pratik, the manager who took good care of us. Definitely visiting soon.

My experience at By The Mekong was absolutely phenomenal! This restaurant, located on the 37th floor of St. Regis, offers an exquisite and authentic selection of Chinese/Asian cuisine that left my taste buds delighted. The burnt garlic rice was an absolute standout, bursting with flavors that took the dish to a whole new level. And let's talk about their desserts - simply divine! Each sweet bite was a heavenly treat that left me craving for more. Aside from the mouthwatering food, the restaurant boasts an incredible skyline view of Mumbai that creates a magical atmosphere. The luxurious interior design further enhances the dining experience, making it truly memorable. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. I cannot recommend By The Mekong enough. It's the perfect place for anyone who appreciates delectable Asian cuisine, stunning vistas, and an all-around wonderful dining experience. A definite must-visit!

Highly impressive dining experience. We ordered the set menu, it comprised of 15 courses! The starters of dim-sum and the lamb preparation was the highlight and the taste was impeccable. The mains were good and they were large portion sizes. There were two deserts which were both very good and you certainly won't be hungry after the set menu! Additionally the cocktails were great. Overall it was a great experience and it seemed like good value. The only downside I would say was that the music was too loud and pumping. It was maybe a bit too loud for a fine dining restaurant.

Its was not bad but it was weird in someway. The restaurant is part of palladium but entrance for car park is separate. We own a small hatch and were not allowed in at first by security making me think that i need to park elsewhere upon enquiring further I was asked to go back to the same entrance and this time the security let us in and apologized. While waiting for the elevator we were asked to take a different one as some vip's were about to arrive. We ordered 5 items from the menu and one of them was soup which was served as 1 / 2, for some reason it was presumed that we will split a soup between 2, waiter did apologies for it. The food is good in general matches the expectation, staff is courteous. They don't wear name tags but the feedback form asks for name which I found interesting. at some spots its a little too dark for elders I think as I could see few elders were using their phones torch to read menu. It would be fine, If this was some random drinking session with friends but it was me and my wife's birthday. I have had the fortune of experiencing most of the notable hotels and their restaurants and I believe this one is very well suited for corporate events or fun time with friends.

Outstanding food and service. It is definitely is One of the best Chinese restaurants in Mumbai. Special thanks to Chef Raymond Wong for taking extra care regarding our gluten free vegan requirement. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit it every-time l am in Mumbai. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant but relaxing. The staff is helpful, polite and courteous. Each every dish had flavour and was served hot. Unfortunately forgot to take pictures as we were so hungry and the food looked so tempting that we just dived in to eat it.

Perfect place for asian food lovers. Little heavy on the pocket but absolutely worth the taste and experience! We were here for our 3 anniversary celebrations (Nov end) and happy to note that By the Mekong contributed to a memorable evening. The ambience is perfect and one of the only few places in Mumbai to give a lovely view of the skyline. Aftab was our server who was prompt and smooth with his service. They were sweet enough to give us a complimentary cake at the end of our dinner. We ordered the Vietnamese Pho soup, a delicately flavoured broth with dumplings. Crispy Corn Bao which was delicious too. Sichuan noodles with minor changes that were very nicely accomodated for and surprisingly less oily/greasy. Dessert was Tub Thim Grob which was a welcome break from chocolatey desserts and savoured by us. We also ordered a cocktail but I don't recall the name. Definitely recommend for some authentic asian food! Will be visiting again for sure!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a South East Asian restaurant, and I must say, it was an enchanting culinary experience that transported my taste buds on a delightful journey through the vibrant flavors of the region. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance evoked a sense of authenticity, with intricate decor and soft traditional music. The menu was a treasure trove of diverse dishes, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The appetizers were a revelation. The spring rolls were crispy and bursting with fresh vegetables, while the satay skewers were a tantalizing blend of tender meat and fragrant spices. The main courses continued to impress. The green curry was a harmonious balance of creaminess and spice, and the rendang carried the deep flavors of slow-cooked perfection. What truly set this restaurant apart was its commitment to using authentic ingredients. The aromatic herbs, exotic spices, and market-fresh produce were evident in every bite, demonstrating a dedication to preserving the integrity of Southeast Asian cuisine. The staff were not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the dishes, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring a personalized dining experience. The service was prompt, and the presentation of each dish was a feast for the eyes. To conclude, my visit to this South East Asian restaurant was a memorable journey through the heart of a diverse and captivating culinary world. If you're a food enthusiast eager to explore the intricate tapestry of Southeast Asian flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. Prepare to be whisked away on a delicious adventure that captures the essence of the region's cuisine.

If you're looking for authentic South East Asian cuisine, look no further than this restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you'll be greeted with the aroma of freshly cooked spices and a warm atmosphere. The menu at this restaurant features a wide range of South East Asian dishes, from fragrant curries to noodle soups, all prepared with care and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the Pad Thai, which was cooked perfectly and had just the right balance of sweet, sour, and salty flavors. The service at this restaurant was also top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations, making us feel like we were in good hands. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves South East Asian cuisine or is looking to try something new. With its delicious dishes, great service, and comfortable ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for any foodies out there.

I had dinner at By The Mekong last night with my parents for their wedding anniversary, and our experience was quite mixed. The ambiance, decor, and view from the restaurant were unique and something you don’t often see in Bombay. We also had no problem with the food and thought it was fantastic. The following are the main issues we had. 1. The waiter spilled wine during the tasting 2. Wine spillage when our glasses were being refilled 3. Spilling food outside the plate when serving 4. The waiter tipped the wine bottle over after refilling our glasses. He spilled atleast 30% - 40% of the bottle on the table and the seat next to me. We completely understand that mistakes happen, but it was an expensive bottle of wine, and we were not compensated in any way. The table was cleaned immediately, and the staff just ghosted us for the rest of the night. We waited for about 15min - 20min to see if they were going to say anything about the tipped wine bottle or ask if we wanted dessert but to no avail. We just asked for the bill and left. We did receive a small complimentary chocolate cake before leaving, but I don’t think that makes up for the expensive wine bottle which was spilled.

No doubts this could be one of the best experiences to embrace with your family and loved ones but what makes this place so unique and special to stand out from other big competitors in a city like Mumbai according to me could be the view from heights however unfortunately if the place is unable to accomodate or arrange such an experience or only restrict it to larger groups of 4 or more people it's really unfortunate for couples to feel the experience which exactly happened during my visit. While anyone would love to pay some extra bucks to visit this place but unless the team can accomodate a good view from the top even while tables and seats are vacant only for bigger groups it would be really unfortunate or as good as dining in any usual expensive restaurant across the city. Please consider extending availability to smaller groups of 2 people as well to enjoy the experience of sky high dining.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at By The Mekong and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The restaurant has a beautiful and elegant ambiance that perfectly complements the delicious food and drinks. The menu at By The Mekong is a blend of Southeast Asian cuisine, with a focus on Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese dishes. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and the flavors were simply outstanding. The standout dish for me was the crispy duck with tamarind sauce, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The seafood tom yum soup was also a highlight, with a perfect balance of sour and spicy flavors. The service at By The Mekong was exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, and they provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences. They were also happy to accommodate our requests, including modifying dishes to suit dietary restrictions. In addition to the delicious food, the cocktails at By The Mekong were expertly crafted and beautifully presented. The bartenders were true masters of their craft, and they provided us with excellent recommendations based on our tastes. Overall, I highly recommend By The Mekong to anyone looking for a fantastic Southeast Asian dining experience. The restaurant's delicious food, exceptional service, and beautiful ambiance make it a must-visit destination for foodies and casual diners alike.

The decor portrays subdued opulence with wooden flooring, huge lamps & artifacts. We chose a table by the window with beautiful views of the race course that made a perfect backdrop for the great meal. We were eager to try the new menu crafted by Chef Shi Xilin- think juicy dim sums, wok tossed dishes, creative Asian desserts & authentic flavors. So, was the afternoon well spent? Yes, absolutely

Nice views and has a premium feel to it. It's a good change from the usual Indian food you find in Mumbai and are craving some good asian options for a special occasion. Good options for vegetarians too. On the day we went, we felt the service could be better to match the pricing and the 5 star dining experience. They didn't explain much or inform us much about the food so that we could decide. We often had to call out to the staff and felt we were left alone for long periods of time. Drinks are meh. Def. Try the chocolate mousse with rasberry sorbet

Warm and beautiful restaurant specialises in dumplings and Asian food. The staff is amazingly attentive. We had a very fresh and delicate veg dumplings baskets, then the delicious prawn Singapore rice noodles. The Thailand cocktail was good but not memorable. A distinguished experience overall with a beautiful view of Mumbai.

It is set on the 18th floor of the St. Regis hotel in Parel district of Mumbai. An exclusive restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food with a Chinese chef that we actually got to meet and thank at the end of our dinner there. The views of the city are stunning and even more so in the night sky. There were 15 of us that went here to celebrate a family event. We asked for and were given a separate room that even included its own bathroom. Two of the 4 walls were complete glass windows that offered great views. The setting was fabulous and memorable. We went for a set menu that had an abundance of starters, main course and desserts. We ordered the drinks separately that included a generous selection of Champagnes and Wines. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were larger than I could handle. We initially did a sampling of the starters and asked for 2nd servings of the starters that we really enjoyed. I would particularly recommend the Dumplings and the Radish based starters. The service was excellent and very prompt. There was a large assortment of desserts to choose from. By popular demand we asked for and were served this Tender Coconut based dessert which was delightful, though the quantity was small. But that was more than made up by the Chocolate cake that we had ordered, some of which we had to pack and take home. When it came to the bill, the staff pointed out that me by being a Marriott (SPG program) Gold Member, I was entitled to a 15% discount on the bill. This was a pleasant surprise as it saved us quite a bit on our bill. The Chef came out and many of us got to shake his hand and thank him for the wonderful dining experience we had had. Overall, a very memorable experience at 'By the Mekong'. Would highly recommend it.

The guys were so friendly . The best thing which I appreciate is that they found me in cold , and they were kind enough to bring a shawl without me even telling them. Also , I was allowed to swap the soup with appetizers. The food , I liked all the appetizers . The main course was average . The desert was tasty . Will definitely visit again !
