I am from east India. Since last 7 years I am staying in west India. And have never got the taste of east here. If you miss the great Bengal mughlai food with genuine taste. Oh Calcutta is a must. The moment you savour it. You ll simply say. Oh! Calcutta. Only if you are a fan of Bengal food.

We visited Oh Calcutta recently to try out their MANIKDAR’s RAJBHOJ THALI Manikdar Rajbhoj It is a Gastronomic tribute to Bengal's legendary Filmmaker and Oscar awardee’s Satyajit Ray. Manikda’ (Satyajit Ray as he was fondly referred) and his family happened to be, “complete foodies in every possible way.. Oh Calcutta is serving his favourite dishes like Kosha Mutton, Cholar Daal, Bhetki Macher Paturi, Channar Dalna, Bhapa Sondesh and many more. Enjoy a table full of scrumptious delicacies at the below-mentioned outlets in India. Ray’s love for mutton and that Oh! Calcutta would be serving his favourites like Kosha Mangsho (mutton in thick spicy gravy) and Meter Jhal (slow-cooked mutton liver in a spicy red-chili gravy), along with Chingri Macher Malaikari (prawns cooked in a coconut gravy) and of course, Bhetkir Paturi (bhetki pieces in mustard paste cooked in banana leaves). We had an incredible time … Staff was super friendly and amazed by their hospitality… Being an bengali I find this an ethereal experience… Thank you oh Calcutta

Oh! Calcutta is all about Bengali fanfare. It's very tastefully done, the decor, food, menu, music which takes you straight to streets of Kolkata. Loved all the dishes we ordered especially Kosha Mangsho and smoked Hilsa. Service was good and special mention to Ashok who made us very comfortable and suggested special dishes. Overall a very different but memorable experience. Worth a revisit and highly recommended.

For someone who's looking for authentic Bengali/ odiya food. The place is nothing but sort of Oasis in the desert. Restaurant is located in the narrow street of tardeo, spacious and with colourful interior. I personally loved the maccha jhol n rice combo🍚

Hilsa festival is going on all the Oh! Calcutta outlets It's one of my best experience to enjoy Bengali traditional delicacies cooked in home style. On weekend ordered Hilsa Meal Box from Oh! Calcutta, Tardeo outlet. This particular outlet is established in 1994. It's one of the top player for the authentic Bengali cuisine restaurant. Our weekend special Hilsa Meal Box - Ilish paturi Ilish Beguner jhol Aloo Phoolkopir Dalna Chingrir cutlets Steamed rice Aloo bhaja Bhaja Moonger daal Tomato Khejurer Chutney Malpua Chaler Payesh Loved the traditional Bengali food taste. Hilsa fish is of good quality and big pieces are served. Hygienic packaging with all the health related parameters are all mentioned clearly on the seal food box.

Great food. We ordered fish tomato curry and prawns cutlet. The taste quality was amazing. The place was relatively empty possibly due to covid. The prices are a bit steep but they make up for it with great quality and service. It's the ideal place if you want to treat someone to a special fine dining experience.

Great little spot for enjoying the delicious Bengali Cuisine. It's heaven if you're non vegetarians. Limited vegetarian options, but the sweets are to die for. Calm and composed atmosphere... Just like how a Bengali restaurant should be. The Koraishutir Chop is a must try while the Baked Rosogolla is the best dessert I've had till date. Good discount options available on zomato gold too!

In the jam packed lane of Tulsiwadi lies a gem of a restaurant - especially if you are Bengali who relishes his food! For me - being a true Mumbaikar, I was a bit skeptical to try out the freshwater fishes and mustard oil preparation of Bengali cuisine. But so impressed I was, after having a feast at Oh! Calcutta. To begin with, they have a well kept and professional Valet Parking - which is such a necessity - in the cramped Tardeo area. Once you enter the restaurant - the seating and interiors of the restaurant are a mix of traditional and modern, to make you feel at comfort. For menu card - they provide you a Tablet phone, where you can view how the dish looks like, before you order. Well, we feasted on a variety of dishes - each better than the other and it's difficult to call out a favourite. Nizami Murgh Malai Tikka - Delicious chicken malai tikka Gondhoraj Mach - Steamed fish in leaves Topsher Cutlet - Mango fish cutlet Kosha Mangsho - Sukka Mutton Daab Chingri - Prawns cooked in coconut milk and served artistically in a coconut Rui Kalia - Rui fish in traditional bay leaf and garam masala curry Hot puffy Luchi - Piping hot and puffy puri Calcutta Chicken Biryani Mishti Doi - famous bengali sweet and creamy yoghurt Rosogulla - needs no description Gur Sondesh So all you Mumbaikars, if you want a taste of Bengal, you don't need to travel all the way to Kolkata. You have right here in Mumbai - Oh Calcutta!

My recent dining experience in Oh Calcutta, Tardeo was an absolute delight.! The ambience is simply fantastic. The modern decor and well thought-out seating arrangements created a welcoming energetic vibe. Let's talk of the star of the show... The food offers an extensive menu.... The quality of ingredients used was top notch. During my last visit we had pleasure of trying several dishes must say each one was a masterpiece. From mouthwatering appetizers to the delectable main courses.., my taste buds were in absolute ecstasy. The flavours are perfectly balanced and the portions were generous. What stood out to us was the impeccable service provided by the staff at Oh Calcutta, They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations based on personal preferences.

Outstanding food. Come here probably once in a while but this time was fabulous during Pujo. Tried the Chicken cutlet, Fish fry....both quite nice along with Luchi , Begun Bhaja, Mochar chop & Bhetki paturi, all were mouth watering ones. The Kosha mangsho was not that great ..probably reeling from expectation we had, because of the other dishes. But the pièce de résistance was the Nolen Gurer ice-cream...a must have. Haven't had one in the past and it will blow your mind with its texture & taste ( not too sweet). Good service overall but yes be ready to shell out a bomb.... But it's money well spent. Highly recommended.

Great food but on the expensive side. Highly recommend begun , luchi, ilish, any curry. Note: aam sharbat is too overpriced, the quantity of desserts can be better. Food is almost perfect with high quality ingredients. But some quantity can be better. A few like desserts and drinks can be skipped if not overpriced or both.

A lovely restaurant maintaining the standard of the brand chain. Food is excellent and so is the plating & serving. We had the "Bhai-phota" special thali with fixed portions served on the table but still found it hard to complete.

Best food in Mumbai... Loved bengali food!!! Bhapa Ilish - steamed fish in mustard gravy - heavenly taste when paired with rice. Chingri Malai curry - prawns in coconut curry, very good quality prawns used. Mishti doi and Baked rasagulla are a must try !!! Gondoraj shorbat was only ok. Ambience and service is very good. It's expensive but totally worth the price!!!

I had been in Mumbai for years but never had been here. But now that we craved to have bengali food, we planned to drive down from Pune to Mumbai Tardeo to have a sumptuous dinner. The food was heavenly. We had Vetki fry as starters (5/5) Main course Luchi and mutton kosha (5/5) just amazing. And most favourite Kolkata special Rice with jeera bata Fish curry with Cauliflower in it (5/5) Though w heavy one, but so satisfying dinner. Must visit for fish lovers..

Service, food and ambience everything is just so perfect. We had ordered the maharaja thali, Luchi with mutton kosha was so so good! All the items were prepared so well, none were extra spicy or oily, infact we liked it more than the Kolkata outlet.

Bengali food at its best. A very nice and different place when it comes to food. Comfortable warm seating. Must Try - non veg bengali thali, fish fry, kosha maangshoo and luchi, prawn cutlet, hilsa, chaler payesh. Food - 👌👌👌👌 You can experience the perfect bengali cuisine. Must try for Non-Veg lovers, though veg also has good variety. Food presentation was nice. Service - 👌👌👌👌 The staff is very polite and well trained. Service was very quick and proper. Ambience - 👌👌 Ambience is warm lighting with comfortable seating for couples, family of larger groups of 15-20. Very spacious. Very popular place for bengali or people who love bengali food , 10-15 mins waiting during weekend. But you can book a table earlier. Pricing is worth the food and overall service they provide. Overall would suggest you to visit this place.

Food was excellent as was the service and ambience. I ordered the Fish Tikka and to be honest, it was the best fish I've ever had. Loved the tomato and mustard sauce too. 4 star because I found it a tad overpriced. I was charged 10% service tax and the combined bill was taxed separately. Pointed this out to the manager.

Famous for typical Bengali cousin especially costal food. Seating is decent and comfortable. Menu a bit costly.i did not have to wait for the table. Food is tasty . Staff is prompt and courteous. Menu list is big enough to choose from. Parking may be a problem here

Amazing food, very different from the other restaurants in Mumbai: lots of mustard flavored seafood. The staff is also extremely helpful with suggestions. There's a new lunchtime special thali also, which is an amazing deal for a huge variety of food.

On a random search for good food, we found Oh! Calcutta - and it was so worth it! We savoured the Murgir Jhol and Macher Paturi with steamed rice. The tomato chutney on the side was yummy too and we also got a complimentary sweet dish!

Not so friendly people. Rude Behaviour. Cooks leave after 15:30, and the restaurant closes at that time. But nowhere this timing is mentioned. They don't even offer a glass of water while waiting for order. Veera Desai area branch is way better.
