In Mumbai staying in Andheri area, was free for dinner so searched local seafood and google showed me this place called Malhar tribe near my hotel. Went for the dinner alone and my review for the same is as below: Ambiance: The place has ample parking near it, though I was using a cab so didn't need it. The signage of the place is visible on the road so you can't miss it. Once inside you have option of sitting in AC or non-AC. It being hot I chose the AC seating; the indoor seating was very clean and well lit, they had TVs showing the match inside. they have outside sitting as well, which has a big bar and a bigger screen showing cricket match. The whole place had a nice vibe to it, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my meal. Service: The staff was very attentive and fast, they were not serving thali for dinner, so I went with the staff recommendations for my meal and they were bang on with the items they suggested. They were very polite and friendly seeing that I was alone and tried making my meal a happy one. Drinks: They had Budweiser form the tap, so I went with the same on top of it they had an offer of 2+1 for the same. Food: I wanted prawns in starters and the staff recommended me Prawns Malvani Sukkhein wit 2 pc appam, the dish was tasty a must try if you visit this place. For the main course I wanted fish and was recommended Rawas Ire Meen Katt with appam, the same was very good though I ended up ordering rice with it as thought it would be the best combination with curry. Cost: My meal including three beers prawns and fish costed me 2170 INR which is not to expensive for the amount and quality of food and service I got. Overall a very good place to have seafood. I recommend it for great food and service. 👍👍👍

A great place to have lot of varieties of non veg foods especially sea foods. Food is really fantastic. We visited here in a weekend. They have arranged a music band also at that time. It has two seperate dining sections..One is AC and other one is non-Ac. Music live was in non -ac area. Also big projector screening of IPl match was going on in the place of music performance. It was really an amazing experience. Ambience is great here. The interior is so attractive and it has many photo points also. A good car parking space also available here.... Must visit place to have food with live music/Match screening!!!

Located just fifteen to twenty minutes from the International Airport, this place is tucked into an alcove on a busy main road. The sign can't be missed. It's divided into two seating areas (the indoor and outdoor (which is also sort of indoor)) and both have their own charm. The service is quick and efficient and the food tastes amazing. My recommendation is to give the seafood a shot. The night we visited had live music which added to the ambience of the place.

Malhar Tribes ❤️ I recently visited this lovely place with my friends in Marol and was so satisfied with the amazing gastronomic experience that I had at this Restaurant. We started with Mutton Paya Soup and Crab Nihari. Both these Soups were so delicious especially the Crab Nihari was so unique and impressive. For appetizers we tried Pomfret bharlela and Stuffed Bombil. They are very famous for their Seafood dishes and we ordered these two and trust me they were simply amazing. I was amazed by both these dishes. Now let's come to the Main Course which was the best part of this visit. We tried four equally different yet equally delicious dishes like the Agri Mutton with Neer Dosa, Kombdi Vade with Malvani Chicken, Kori Roti with Chicken Gassi and Veg Allepy curry with Rice. I recommend all these dishes to definitely try since all were extremely good. Finally we ended with one of the most delicious desserts, the Coconut Payasam. This had tender coconut bits which went so well with the Payasam. Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5

Great ambience which resembles Greece/Goa vibes. Very cozy place and with good customer service. Food tasted great but the quantity is just so terrible. The quantity just doesn't justify the prices especially the appetizers are not even enough for a single person. We ordered : bombay duck fry, stuffed bombay duck, bevda murga, prawns tava fry, malvani curry and neer dosa along with solkadi Be cautious about the quantity before you order. Its just terrible and unnecessarily expensive. This place is good to visit just once for an experience.

I went to this restaurant for the first time. The ambiance is good. Too crowded on weekends. The food was good. I had ordered Prawns, n it was tasty, though it tasted more like Thai curry. Virgin Pinnacolada was absolute delight. Loved it. Do give it a try.

Great atmosphere! Hidden away from the main street, it’s like a little oasis. Good food and service and many of the waiters speak English, which is great for me. Also, they have large seating areas that are air conditioned and when I was there on Sunday, they had a great, live guitar musician.

Found an authentic coastal restaurant serving lip smacking delicacies in Marol. Malhar tribes is an eye catching restaurant specialising in Sri Lankan, Kerala and Malvani cuisine. Having Italian and Chinese options too they have an extended menu to choose from and an amazing decor along with an impromptu service. Our first favorite and most recommended on this dish was Bharlela pompret. Its stuffed with some juicy filling and cooked to perfection. Served with lemon and onions. A must try when you visit Malhar tribes. Prawns tawa fry was another delicious started we tried. It tastes good with by sprinkling lemon and onions. Our main course was splendid. Tried the korri roti with manglorean chicken curry. Korri roti is prepared with rice flour and the texture is more like papad. The chicken curry is prepared with coconut base and curry leaves. The combination is a must try and one of our recommendation. The agri mutton rassa with malabar paratha was amazing. The mutton was slow cooked with traditional Malvani spices and tasted beyond delicious. They also have a variety of cocktails and mocktails to offer which are thirst quenching and refreshing. Ended our meal with a sizzling brownie and left happy. So all your coastal food lovers here's your pick to visit Malhar tribes and enjoy an authentic delicacy.

I have visited this restaurant twice now and for both times it was a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is perfect for any outing with family/friends like family dining, meetup with friends, Friday night team dinner, ideal date and so on. The service is prompt and the food quality, quantity w.r.t price is surely worth the value spent. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. They also have live music most of the evenings and you can experience the same to the fullest with outdoor seating option. You can also have birthday celebrations and the restaurant would happily arrange cake for you or even allow you to carry your own cake. The must try options here are sea food cuisines and Srilankan cuisines. We had ordered the following and it was all surely great at taste: Chicken srilankan (must try) Crispy chicken Chicken lollypop Mushroom manchurian Agri komdi rassa Malvani surmai curry (must try) Malabari chicken Appam (must try) Wade (must try) Apart from this they also have authentic goan, kerala and srilankan dishes available as well.

Ambience : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quantity : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOT rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ . So we recently visited Malhar Tribes situated in Marol. You go 'Wow' as soon as you enter! They have a huge Outdoor seating adorned with yellow lights! Perfect for the evenings. They also have live music for the weekends. . The vibe of the indoor seating is soothing and aesthetic with walls adorned with vintage portraits. They also have a lovely setup for a Photo point which would leave you with super cute photos. Coming to the food, each and every dish we tried, ticked all boxes! We would highly recommend you to ask the staff for their bestsellers. . Here's what we tried : . 1. Bewda murga : Signature chicken Chilly with flaming alcohol. The attendant adds alcohol to the dish and flames it up for a nice visual! Ps. Keep safe distance :p The dish however, is spicy and the addition of veggies makes it a great appetizer overall. . 2. Thatte Idli with Chicken Gassi: Authentic Mangalorean chicken curry served with steaming Idlis. This dish is low on spice but the flavour wins the heart! We loved the presentation as well. . 3. House spiced Arbi Tuk: Fried Arbi fried topped with spices and served with a yummy gunpowder mayonnaise. The Arbi was crunchy and a great combination along with the dip. This is best eaten hot! . 4. Pomfret Pulimanchi : Whole Pomfret with a sour tangy masala/gravy wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. The flavour of the gravy was strong but not overpowering at the same time, which ensures the natural flavour of the fish is retained. . 5. Tender coconut Payasam : Payasam made with coconut milk, tender coconut pieces and coconut water and topped with sliced almonds. This was legit the perfect end to our meal. Each and every spoon left us wanting for more! [SOT Favourites!] . For drinks, we ordered - . 1. Passion Orange Mojito : A refreshing blend of passion fruit, orange and Lime. Right balance of sweet and tangy. Perfect to beat the heat! . 2. Frozen berry blush: Slushy with strong flavours of berries. Every sip leaves you refreshed! PS. This melts very quickly . SOT Verdict : We loved the music, ambience and the food. Definitely a place to visit with your friends and family!

~ Malhar Tribes ~ A purest gem in a coal mine. What we ordered : Seafood soup - 5 stars Goan Prawns Curry - 5 stars Khandeshi Chicken - 5 stars Amboli - 5 stars The aroma of the seafood soup is something I still cannot forget, it literally stayed with me. The Goan Prawns Curry was creamy and just perfect as it should be. Prepared with a master touch. Khandeshi Chicken with Amboli was a delightful combination. Soak and dip Amboli in Goan Prawns Curry, put some drops of lemon on it and one fresh onion ring, you shall have a morsel of your life! One things to remember, the raw onions they served were exceptionally crispy, fresh & crunchy. Nothing but Scrumptous food is served here. Lovely Goan ambiance. Clean & elegant washrooms Staff is attentive and polite. Note : Visit only if you are high on budget. Service tax and GST is super high here. Its expensive but truly delicious. Things I have added in the pics below : 1: Our bill - INR 1816/- for 2 2: Liquor Menu card 3: Washroom ambiance (pic with mirror) 4: Hotel entrance and ambiance pics. Do check them all!

Was waiting to try their fish thali and I was pretty happy with what was served up. It was rich and tasty. There were a few salty pockets here and there but along with rice and curry it was alright. Ambience is also good and they have a wide variety of cocktails and beer on tap. Need to try their other dishes soon.

Here is one gem of an outlet that serves the best food indulged in south indian & maharashtrian flavours. Surely, a must visit place and you will definitely love to be there again. Few of my recommended dishes to try out here if you’re a sea food lover: Seafood soup, includes chunks of prawns, crab & fish meat. Srilankan prawns, has a creamy base with some inhouse spices, an absolute delicacy. In the mains, i tried the chef’s recommended, Chettinad mutton kuzhambu, has the authentic south flavour, a thick gravy served with succulent mutton pieces. Paired up with Garlic naan. A drink to have beside my food was, the Sundowner, a ginger based drink that is perfect for my tastebuds.

  • 5/5 Nikhil G. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic place to gorge on some authentic Mangalorean dishes amidst soothing live music. On their menu, their sea food varieties stand out, with the prawns sukka, surmai tawa fry and butter garlic crab topping the list (subjective). Their busiest hours are generally during the evenings of Fridays and the weekend, prompting one to make reservations in advance. Engagement levels of their staff are much higher during then, thus causing delayed service times and higher waiting times.

Malhar Tribes, located in Marol area of Andheri East, is a hidden gem. This place is a heaven especially for seafood lovers as they provide lip-smacking coastal cuisine. They provide amazing variety of chicken, mutton and vegetarian dishes as well. From the time you step in the restaurant, you will be impressed by amazing ambience and seating arrangement. I completely love this place for food, ambience and hospitality. 1) Cocktails & Mocktails (Coquito cocktail and Oreo milkshake) – Rich, creamy Coquito cocktail was made with coconut cream, coconut milk and tequila. Oreo milkshake was just awesome. 2) Starters (Pomfret Recheado and Soya Chaap Lapeta) – This pomfret Recheado is a must try. It tastes terrific, delicious. Soya Chaap Lapeta was a delight to have. 3) Main Course (Chicken Vindaldo and Paneer Makhanwala) – Chicken Vindaldo is a good butter chicken like comfort dish. If you like butter chicken, you’ll enjoy it too. Paneer Makhanwala was really tasty. We were served our main course with Appam, Plain Roti and Poee. We were really delighted to have variety of bread options with our main course. 4) Dessert (Sizzling brownie with Ice-cream) – This is one of the best desserts I ever had. Enjoyed it totally! Respect to the team. Mr. Rahul took our special care with prompt service. I highly recommend everyone to experience this goan culinary ASAP!

Situated in Marol, Andheri East. Great place to chill around with Family and Friends or a candle light dinner with your loved ones. This place gives you both Goan and Malvan Vibes. Outside seating (AC) with live Music and indoor closed seating as well. Known for their seafood dishes. In starters would recommend stuffed bombil, srilankan prawns, chicken Lasooni kabab. For Main Course, I would recommend Chicken Ghee Roast, Mutton Pepper along with Neer Dosa.

One of the best restaurants I've been to. Details below. Merits. Exclusive ambiance(dim light modern dining) Excellent service Most important the food was upto point and tasted how it was supposed to. Dishes I had were (names might be diff) Mozzarella poppers Prawn starters Squid in butter garlic (plain and simple) Steam fish in banana leaf Apam and chicken Neer dosa Purple dosa with egg ( forgot the name) I'll add the photos taken. Demerits I didn't namd any as to my inconvenience but mainly depends on the differing customer. Overall the restraunt is excellent with an attached bar that just feels excellent to spend time with family and friends. The prices are bit high but that's considerable to the hotel ratings and service and other reasons

Went here for lunch. It was not that crowded. The service was quick and the staff was courteous. Food was really good. Being a vegetarian, the choices were less. This place is famous for seafood. Apparently there is live music every night. Good outdoor area to chill. In an industrial estate. Great experience.

It's a beautiful place with a very Goan ambience. If you love the chill, laid back vibe of Goa and lovely seafood, you'll love this restaurant!

It was my first visit to the place. The service was good, food was ok but not that great.Prices are on the upper side(Ex. Fresh Lime Soda was 130). Live music was being performed but wasn't a pleasant experience.

Omg.. I’ve never had such a delicious prawn thali ever 🤩 Was staying near airport and wanted to try out something different. This restaurant was just 10 mins drive from my hotel. We reached quiet early and decided to go with Holi special thali (veg and prawn) The wait time was a bit more coz I think we reached the place a bit earlier than usual 😆 (12:15 pm for lunch) * Ambiance was very nice and refreshing * Staff were welcoming and wore masks all the time * Food was EXCELLENT 🤩 - Veg thali came with daal, sabzi (2-3 different types), we chose poori instead of roti, thandai, kokam sharbat, rasam and some other snacks - Prawn thali came with delicious Prawn curry, tawa prawns, rice and we chose bhakri over roti....plus similar drinks like Kokam sharbat and thandi (thandi was full of taste and flavour) * Do not miss the desserts.. puran poli was something that was the perfect cherry on the cake. It was soft, flavourful and simply the best. 😊 * They have both indoor and outdoors sitting. You can choose to sit depending on the weather outside. Cost effective and yet it gives u such delicious food options.. I will visit Malhar Tribes again during my next visit to Mumbai 😊

Very delightful place with different verieties of veg - non veg food n 🍻 🍾🍷 also available. Food was delicious n staff was also well mannered. Payasam was very awesome ... Prepared in coconut milk n added shredded tender coconut.. loved it ❤️ Mostly crowded at Weekend nights , prebooking can be done to avoid waiting. Music lovers can visit at Saturday nights to enjoy Live Orchestra.🎸🎤🎵🎼🎶 Overall ... Quality space to spend Quality time with quality people !!!! 🤗🤗🤗

There's no reservation available on the same day as per the interaction I had at the gate. We waited for almost 40 mins or so as it was sunday night n mother's day too. The karaoke was good. Starters are not that great. Loved the main course. We had aapam + some coconut dish. Drinks were okayish. Service was too slow so prepare to get delayed. Their hospitality was good, polite n nice.
