I'm a big fan of sushi, ramen and had heard alot about Kofuku. Finally visited the restaurant, Firstly, all the COVID-19 precautionary measure are taken care of as soon as you enter your temperature is checked, hands are sanitized. Moving on to the sitting section they have - regular one, outside sitting area and traditional japanese sitting. We obviously opted for the traditional one wherein a tatami setup is done to give you that japanese vibes. Staff is humble and attentive he guided us with all the ingredients that are there in our meal not only this he also showed me how to use a chopstick. Coming to the menu its quite elaborated and you have plethora of options to choose from. Here's what we had - Kofuku special vegan roll - Sushi made up of soy paper instead of seaweed sheets. It consists of avocado, asparagus, cucumber, cream cheese in spicy sauce. Looked beautiful and tasted heavenly. Okonomiyaki - This is actually a savory japanese pancake.Upper layer is made up of pancake batter which is stuffed with cabbage. And its topped with japanese mayonnaise, spring onions and dried seaweed. Japanese curry rice- Sticky rice with burst of flavors in the curry. Curry is a bit thick and has alot of veggies like carrot, potato, broccoli, onions, beans. Would highly recommend you to try this. Ramen- Wouldn't say much about it just go and try this you'll surely love it. Filled with only authentic japanese flavors with so many veggies like broccoli, spring onions, zucchini, seaweed, menma. Sushi- Must try here, though not for everybody. Kofuku special mocktail- Very well balanced flavors of mango, vanilla ice cream, peach and basil. Very refreshing. Mango Colada- This one is the amalgamation of mango juice, vanilla ice cream, mint and hint of raspberry. Perfect to sip on with your favorite sushi or ramen. Blueberry Cheesecake- Its Soft, smooth and rich. Highly Recommended👍

Amazing Japanese and Korean food options. Every item was delicious and tasted like the real deal. We enjoyed the sushi rolls which was probably the best I tasted in Mumbai. The Prawns Tempura has a thin coating compared to other places, but nonetheless it was delicious. The pork belly rice dish was mixed feeling as the sesame gave weird flavour. Try only if you have a pallet for Korean food. It was not at all crowded and we got the best seats with an amazing view. Next time I'm going to try their barbecue items. Only downside I found is they charge you a 10% service charge and they have written it everywhere to say it's non negotiable. Can't agree with such kind of arrogance, hence I'm dropping 1 star for my review. Otherwise it's just perfect for a romantic dinner

We were at this scenic restaurant today for dinner. It was a really great location with the best kind of view overlooking a beautiful valley. We prefer to sit in the tatami set up to get the Japanese Vibes. Staff was humble, polite & explain us the ingredients to the minute details. Manu was quite elaborate & covers up the Japanese cuisine. Service was really quick and great. We were served by Lakshya and manager Anand also made sure that we were well taken care of. Here's what we tried: 1. Kofuku special mocktil_ this was a bittersweet yet delicious drink. Very well mixed flavours of mango, vanilla ice-cream, peach & basil. 2. Mango Colada __this was a really soothing mango drink. Was a mixture of mango juice, vanilla ice-cream & raspberry. This was my favourite mocktil. 3. Creamy shrimp tempura - this was a  light crispy batter fried shrimp served with spicy mayo and a  Wasabi sauce. It was a really great start to the meal. 4. Spicy Korean chicken - this was fried chicken with spicy red kochuzang sauce. It was really crispy and juicy and really great. Brilliantly cooked in a authentic Japanese style to the perfection. It reminded me of my trip to Tokyo. 5. Kofuku chef's special curry - It was a creamy, spicy and flavourful broth loaded with chicken. It tasted unique and was clearly the winer dish from the chef stable. 6. Miso Ramen - this was Ramen noodles served in a miso dashi broth. The broth was warm and very heartening and a really filling one. 7. Mochi icecream: we ended with the mochi ice cream which was creamy and quite delicious. We enjoyed the food, it was really great and the ambiance was a cherry on the cake. We would definitely recommend this for all special occasions. It's just lovely.

One of the best places to go for Japanese and Korean cuisine. They also have the typical sit down tables which is common in Korean restaurants. The food is definitely tasty and worth a visit. They have valet parking which is a big plus.

Great place for Korean and Japanese food. Good quality and nicely made with strong authentic taste. Price wise decent. Comes in the upper bracket. Cost nearly 8500 rs for 6 people so an average of 1400 rs per person. Go for the chefs and the servers recommendation. Never fails. Can try again.

As a Japanese person, I had to drop my comment that all food we ordered here were really good and I could feel my home😍 Especially, teriyaki chicken and katsu ni were amazing. I really loved the taste and would love to order these again for sure! All the staff were really kind and great, they asked me if I want hot green tea at the end of the time for dinner. Owner was really respectful! Inside the restaurant, there was a huge art object of pink flower/sakura tree that you can take picture and have fun seeing. (I forgot to take the pic tho..) One thing to change: on the menu, I remember “Tonkatsu ramen” was written. The correct name is “Tonkotsu ramen”! I’m saying this because these two are completely different dish, tonkatsu is Japanese deep fried pork cutlet:)

Amazing food 😍. Good vibe. Tried the crisp potato sushi 5/5. The miso ramen was something new i tried. The noodles were the best I've ever had however the creamy salty taste wouldn't suit everyone's taste buds.3.5/5 Dessert was good. Tried the dorayaki which is ice cream sandwiched btw soft pancake with sweet bean paste. 4/5 👍

The food was good to taste. We had spicy edamame, tempura, chicken pancake, pork dumpling. Avoid skewers. For dessert, I would recommend dokayaki. Simply amazing.

I loved the Fish and Prawn starters. Chicken Barbecue and Veg options were a hit or miss. Main course had lots of options, but I didn't try most of them as I was already full with barbecue. The live grill section has the likes of exotic meats like Emu, Quail, Shark, and Rabbit. I had high hopes, but I wasn't impressed with either of them as the chef drenched the meat in sauces and the meat taste was indistinguishable. They also have Panipuri, Pizza and Pasta and they were good, but not amazing. Dessert was good enough. I couldn't get enough of the cake and Gulab Jamun. Overall, it's well worth the price you pay. Also the restaurant offers Valet service, so no parking worries.

A great place to dine! Do select the place to have your spread with Japanese style of sitting! Great food and the kitchen is visible while the dishes are being prepared. You know what is 🍳 some great guys to take your orders and execute it!! Seek tips from the waiters on what you would order!

Great place for Japanese food. The crab soup was very flavourful (shelled). And the fish teppanyaki with ginger sauce was delicious too. The seating is like a typical Japanese household but this is a combination of cozy and modernized seating arrangements.

Overall it was a really good experience! I had ordered vegetarian food. Dumpling Soup, Noodles, Vegetable Gravy, Sticky Rice and Kofuku Special Mocktail. The food was quite authentic and really tasted different and not an Indian version of the Japanese/Korean food that one would believe. This was a very refreshing experience! A great place to hangout and catch-up with friends for a quiet lunch! They have ample seating arrangements and different types including the traditional sitting area too. Service was quick and everyone in the staff was super polite! :) Definitely a must visit!

A lovely and clean set up in Powai. Beautiful flowery decor. The food was good. The fish was yum but the sticky rice was not right which made the nigiri break while picking. The platter was good and fish fresh and tasty. The omurice was not what we expected. The thick gooey omlette is normally on top of the rice but here the rice was inside a thin omlette so it was like a normal rice and omlette dish. The ramen, pork dish, rainbow roll and sushi/sashimi platter were awesome otherwise. The toilet was clean and staff was polite and courteous. (Oh just FYI, our EV taxi couldn't go up the steep slope till the restaurant so we walked from the gate to the restaurant) - not sure whether it was the driver or the vehicle itself but just FYI.

Mainly Japanese food but Kofuku also serves Korean cuisine. Authentic as it gets, Kofuko has a large spread to offer, both for food and also with some impressive line up of beverages. Try their sushi platters 🍱 & ramen 🍜, as such, Kofuko has lot to offer. Alcohol is priced slightly higher. Question for you - what does Kofuku mean in Japanese 🇯🇵?

Kofuku is a fine dine Japanese restaurant which has gained immense popularity in mumbai since it’s first launch & now has opened it’s third outlet in powai. Kofuku powai offers spacious indoor seating with the option of western & Japanese seating style to suit your preference. The outdoor seating is open & offers a scenic view of nature while you dine, which is so peaceful & pleasing to see in a crowded city like mumbai. I tried their Veg Bento Box which is more than sufficient for one average eater. Each Bento Box gives you the option to choose one dish from Agemono ( deep fried ) & one from yakimono ( grilled & pan fried ) along with Salad, Side dish, tsukemono (pickled cabbage) & Rice. Bento Box Pricing :- Rs 750/- To enjoy my meal I ordered a Berry Blast Mocktail which contained a nice mix of berries, passion fruit syrup & freshly squeezed lemon juice which was refreshing & blended beautifully with my Bento Box ? Authentic Fine dine restaurants are often criticised for being pricey, slow in service, less VFM for customers but they make you feel like a VIP, offer authenticity, unique food combinations & the entire food experience is memorable which is worth every penny IMO. Kofuku Powai manages to cover all the areas from Soothing ambience, Vintage decor, classy crowd, supreme food quality, Japanese cuisine authenticity & overall staff management ( dress code, politeness, menu well rehearsed, attentive & efficient ) Japanese Cuisine is still relatively new in mumbai but kofuku doesn’t fail to impress. Such places are an experience worth trying & experimenting since very few places offer Japanese authenticity like Kofuku in mumbai. If you haven’t eaten at kofuku yet, just go there for it’s sheer authenticity, hospitality & uniqueness. It’s a food experience you wouldn’t wanna miss.

Kofuku ? One authentic Japanese restaurant located in Powai. Ambience is breath taking and it feels so fresh to be here and have food, because its at the top. So a refershing feel while having your food. Nice tables and seating arrangements, also a barbeque section is been held, so that one can have a live barbeque on that particular counter. People who love to have and try different kinda food would definately love this place. Ive had an Japanese Obento here, which was just like a food box, which costs some 750 rs and it consisted of a Hot Soup, Rice, Egg Rolls, Chicken Stuffs and few other items. It also comes ina fish flavour, so one can choose the box according to their convinience, they can select the same from the menu provided. The service by all the staff here was really a good one, they were just cooperative and very humble to their customers and they made sure that everything was okay and fine. I enjoyed my time here at the Kofuku powai with a beautiful ambience and lovely great authentic japense food along. Looking to visit here again in the near future and try some of more Japanese dishes ❤

Kofuku is an eminent and spiffing authentic Japanese restaurant in Powai. This place serves lovely traditional Japanese meals in Izakaya dining style. The place is spacious with nice and decent ambience. It also gives an experience of horigotatsu seating style that provides comfort and convenience. The menu is well crafted by chef James Biaka that offers varieties of classical Japanese dishes. Even the drinks in the menu compliments the food well. From the drink menu tried its few mocktails i.e. Kiwi Ice tea and Spicy Guava Merry that were refreshing and flavoursome. From the food menu tried its few appetizers and mains which were well suggested by staff Anand after understanding our taste. ▪️Rock corn tempura - These were well made American corn pakoras with spicy mayonnaise and creamy wasabi sauce on top and was crunchy and good to taste. Perfect with the drinks. ▪️Tofu steak - Silken tofu steak that were very soft, grilled in sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce was just melting in the mouth and delicious in taste. ▪️Kofuku spl vegan rolls - These were Maki, a type of sushi made up of asparagus, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese with sweet & spicy sauce rolled in soya bean sheets were amazing and totally yumm. ▪️Miso Ramen - A classic Japanese preparation of ramen noodles in miso soup along with exotic veggies was flavourful. ▪️Dorayaki - An inhouse special dessert made up of pancakes and between pancakes layer of sweet beans and vanilla icecream and drizzled with strawberry and chocolate sauce was something different and scrumptious. The dining experience was outstanding with regards to food taste, presentation and service. Definitely worth visiting if one wanna experience classical and authentic Japanese food and traditions.

The best place to have Japanese food is Kofuku Mumbai. We had lunch at this place recently and had a a beautiful experience. The food and the service was just excellent. The ambience spoke for itself which was amazing. Alot of amazing options throughout in both veg and nonveg. What we had, Ebi Tempura and Crispy Roll for appetizers. Both were absolutely good and worth every single rupee. In main course we had Katsu rice curry & miso Ramen bowl (must have). Quite fulfilling quantity. In the dessert I would suggest to go with their inhouse special icecream, you won't be disappointed. All in all it was a great experience.

Ratings Ambience- 5/5 Food- 5/5 Service- 5/5 Overall- 5/5 About the place- This is the third outlet which is newly opened at Powai, the other two being at Juhu & Bandra. Kofuku is known for its authentic & contemporary Japanese cuisine. The safety measures of Covid-19 were very well taken care by ensuring temperature of everyone is checked & hands are sanitized on entering the restaurant. The tables are also sanitized frequently. They have two types of seating arrangements, traditional Japanese seating & the other one was a regular seating arrangement with chair & table. One shouldn't miss out on the Japanese dine experience . Its gives a private dine in experience along with your loved ones. The Menu Card is very well designed with a lot of varieties of dishes including veg and non veg. To our surprise they also had Jain dishes prepared on request which was a plus point for us. The hospitality over here is commendable. They are humble and the welcoming smile will make you feel comfortable instantly. Mr Anand made us comfortable and our experience a memorable one with his knowledge of food dishes and the experience of what Indian customer will love. Superb service by him. He guided us in selecting the best dishes according to our taste. We preferred Veg & Jain dishes. Here's what we had- MOCKTAILS:- - Kofuku special- It was made with Mango, coconut, peach & mint. All the flavours were well balanced. It was chilled & refreshing. Mango Colada- This mocktail was prepared with the help of Mango Juice, Vanilla Ice cream and Basil. It was thick on consistency. This chilled drink was just perfect to sip along with the food. APPETIZERs Tofu teppanyaki steak- This was one of the best Tofu dishes we ever had. The tender Tofu slices are grilled on a pan and then served along with sweet teriyaki sauce with sesame and is also chef's special sauce. It was delicious. Recommended. Kofuku Special Vegan Roll- 8 pieces of roll made with Asparagus, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese in a spicy sauce rolled in soyabean sheets instead of seaweed sheets. Had spicy Sushi for the first time & totally loved it. The cucumber and cream cheese gives the roll a refreshing touch. Highly recommended MAINS Balinese Curry- (Jain) Vegetables like broccoli, zucchini, bell pepper and tofu all were cooked in creamy and spicy yellow coconut curry. If you love spicy then go for this. A must try. Japanese Curry Rice- This one's a simple yet delicious traditional Japanese dish. Its a special Japanese Curry made with curry powder, flour, vegetables, fruits and cooked along with vegetables like carrots, potato, onions and zucchini. It was served along with sticky rice. This one is very delicious and will make you fall in love with this place. I can go again and again to have this without a second thought. Just order this one. Highly Recommended..!!

Purely the best and the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Mumbai. The place has an amazing ambience and also the traditional way of sitting with tatami set up to make the place more authentic . Kofuku has been on my list for years now and yes finally I have got the chance to try the food out and enjoy it. And my my what a huge variety of options in veg and non-veg for sushi , appetizers and mains. Super versatile menu with huge variations and also options in every type of meat and fish for all the ones who have favorites you might want to chose. Amazing staff the hospitality feels like home with very courteous staff explaining you and giving you the entire detail of every dish so that you can order the right dish to enjoy. Must try would be 1.Kofuku Special - The most comforting mocktail is have come across in my entire life. Mango, coconut, peach and mint oh my its a bomb of flavors not very sweet and not very strong. 2.Guava Merry- its a classic mocktail of guava and chilly with not too much spice and not too strong flavor of guava but its mild spice hits perfectly. 3.Crispy Tempura Crab Maki roll- Dam must say the BEST sushi i have had in mumbai. Crispy tempura , sriracha mayo, chilly sauce, crab, nori, avocado all mixed together its just a package of flavors coming in together to give you a nice tender spicy crunchy juicy maki roll well rolled up with amazingly paired mayo which is the best combination. 4.Salmon Carpaccio - Fresh and clean cut salmon with jalapeno served along with carpi sauce, soy, lemon juice, sesame oil, olive oil , and shreds of fresh seaweed. The most authentic dish i have ever had with salmon being so soft and juicy with the right amount of spice and sauce. The most comforting appetizer ever. Must must try . 5.Yakitori Chicken- A classic Japanese appetizer in form a skewers. Chicken and spring onions glazed in yaki sauce with a touch of honey and soy making the chicken super tender and well glazed. totally loved it. 6.Miso Ramen Chicken noodles - One of the best ramen broths i have ever come across. The broth is light, mixed with flavors of miso dashi sauce making the broth the most comforting soup. You can add on pork or chicken for topping. Super filling proportions and must say the best ramen ever. 7.Mapo tofu Donburi- A rice bowl cook minced pork cooked in mapo spicy sauce blended so well that its not too spicy served along side of miso soup being the accompaniment being the best combination to enjoy your donburi. Must say the tofu is sweet and super soft and tender just perfectly combined well with the minced pork . Over all super happy with my experience here at KOFUKU. Special mentions to Mr. Anand for helping us choose the right dishes with the detailed information of every dish with every ingredient in it. Over all 5/5 for food, value of money, ambience, quality of food ,portions , hospitality and the taste of course .

The place is in remotest part of powai, on the way to Vikhroli. Located on a hilly spot, one has to make really climb it through road filled with pot holes. If u don't watch out you may damage your car climbing it. This Japanese restaurant is on 3rd floor. The ambience is ok, but you will find variety of Japanese cuisines. Almost all the dishes ordered were quite different and delicious! Staff is quite good in taking care of customers. We had a great time!

Its an authentic Asian restaurant which serves Korean as well as Japanese located near Kailash Complex You can easily get here from getting down at Vikhroli railway station and grabbing an auto to Kailash Complex . The vibe of this place was so serene. . They also have an option of Japanese style seating . We were served with the basic kimchi and the radish flavoured kimchi . We ordered Soju it was a traditional Japanese drink but to be honest it tasted more like smooth vodka and it was really expensive . Appetizers . Kofuku special vegetable roll - It was a vegetarian sushi served with a side of wasabi and radish. It had the filling of avocado, cucumber, asparagus and cream cheese. When you bite into it the first time you will first taste the raw rice and then it will hit you with burst of flavours . Shrimp tempura roll - It had a great taste but it lacked a little crispiness . Avocado Nigiri - This was handcrafted sushi which had avocado rolled with rice and tasted so good when dipped in soy . Katsu curry rice - Sticky rice served with gravy which was so dominating. The curry was too good and smooth. It was sided with fried chicken which was fried to perfection . Jampong - It was spicy noodle soup. The broth had a very smooth texture but the noodles lacked the flavour . Overall its a great place for Asian food and the staff was welcoming

What an incredible aura. I am so impressed! The staff greets you in Japanese. It’s such a great gesture. The seating arrangements are so authentic and beautiful. You can literally experience how the Japanese sit down and have meals. We ordered an Exotic Vegetables Platter, Futomaki Sushi, Veg Korean Ramen, Tteokbokki, and Tempura Ice Cream. I have become a fan of Tteobokki. I had no idea what it was going to be like. It is basically a rice cake in a sauce. It tasted like heaven. The Exotic Vegetables Platter was also amazing. I found the Sushi and Ramen to be better than average. The Ice Cream was nice. It tasted like a waffle with ice cream. There are buttons like “call”, “bill”, “cancel”, etc. if you want to place an order or get the check. The staff is super sweet. The service is also quick. I had such a wonderful time. Definitely going to visit again.

They cater to only Japanese and Korean cuisine. We tried Korean food. The food in general is a bit spicy so i recommend to order drinks along with food. Must order Ramen and Tteokbokki. For desserts order as per staff recommendation. The ambience is quiet and relaxing. You can either opt for a traditional Japanese style private sitting or the regular style dining .

Overall a great experience. Service was good, although waiters thought we were well versed with Japanese - Korean cuisine, they were helpful with explanations. Food was tasty and worth the experience. Dorayaki cake with venilla ice cream as dessert was superb.

Good food. Great atmosphere. The interiors, especially the Japanese seating area is great. It's one of the unique appeals of this place. The general seating area is well decorated and the ambience is pretty awesome. Terrible service.(At the Japanese seating place) When it comes to service, it looks like success has gone to their heads, and feels like they are doing a big favor by waiting on us. They definately do NOT "serve with a smile" Same theme with the parking valet guy. Valet for this place is pretty bad. The internal road serves many resturants and is a traffic jam. The valet did not make a effort to come to our car and help us out. Looks like he had no interest in his job. Management needs to step up and re-train their staff. Need to be more attentive and hospitable.

Visited this newly opened outlet in Powai. The Okonomiyaki, Wafu steak carpaccio and Sushi sampler were good. Was a little disappointed because they don't have the Sukiyaki (hotpot) at this outlet. I was informed by the staff that it's available only in Bandra ??‍♀️

  • 2/5 Amanda M. 4 years ago on Google
First the address on Maps will take you to the back of the building, then you'll have to hike your way up to the main entrance. Second, after a long day at work the last thing you want to do is deal with waiters' attitude, and we had 4 different waiters last night! Overall the sushi tasted fresh but everything else was so-so. My advice: food is ok, service is disappointing. There's many pricey restaurants in Mumbai and this one is not worth it!

Amazing place for Korean and Japanese food. Contrary to what the staff say, the quantity is pretty good, so order less at first. Is a bit pricey (guess charging for location and being an exotic food joint). Staff is friendly and food is tasty. I only wish Sake was cheaper out there.

This is THE place if you really want a taste of Japan in MUMBAI. I’ve been here twice and the staff here are really sweet! They have an oriental style table as well for the authentic Japanese experience and the food is well beyond remarkable!! An amazing place if you really wanna enjoy an authentic Japanese food! The sushi is amazing too! This has become my go-to place for Sushi! This place is EPIC!

The visit was a disappointment... Overall experience- 2/5 Food -3/5 Drinks -1/5 Service -2/5 Ambiance- 3/5 Vfm - 2/5 Had an issue with the billing - we were charged 400 plus taxes, service charge, etc for a beer we didn’t order! Server initially refused to admit it, finally did when I reacted sternly that I’m not paying for something I haven’t ordered or had... new bill took 15 mins to reach us... Visited on Valentine’s Day for an early dinner... had done a reservation through Zomato... We reached around 7.30 pm.. Place is a bit tough to find, it’s located in the same complex as Bse Powai and Bar bank Powai. Service was lacklustre and so slow. Asked for warm water... it was served with some brown particles at the bottom of the glass.. Menu given to us were photo copied pages of the actual menu and all pages were printed twice! Confusing and irritating experience... Went with a cocktail recommended by my server - Sin Gin- he said it would be on the sweet side, unfortunately it was a bad choice... only tasted sour orange juice... Tip- order hard drinks - it’s a safer bet! My husband went with Dewars and water... In sushi we tried the nigiri salmon sushi - it was delicious ? 310 plus taxes, service charge, etc for 2 pieces! Oh my God sushi - had cheese in it... unfortunately it wasn’t mentioned in the 4 line description of the sushi, nor did my server mention it... n taste wise it could be a lot better... at 1000 for 8 pieces plus taxes, service charge, etc - u could give it a miss... probably go for the rainbow sushi instead... The spicy miso ramen ? was delicious- we went with chicken ? ask for 1 by 2... portion size is good.. Skipped desserts. Total bill - 3300 including a 10% service charge... pricey place, personally don’t feel it’s worth it... Since it was Valentine’s Day, they gave us 2 red roses... sweet gesture, but not enough... Final verdict- nope, not visiting again

The location of this restaurant is just outside the Hiranandani Powai though this locality is surrounded by other eatery as well. Food is yummy but not mind blowing type. One can avail 30% discount if bill paid through ZOMATO app. Try Japanese style dining instead of normal chair & Table seating.

I have been to Kofuku in Juhu and the expectations were set. This one had a Few hits few misses in the food department. We had mentioned about a dish not being upto the mark but they didn't make any changes and we paid the full 1500rs for it. The menu too was not ready fully with items like desserts and sake not being served. The setup is nice and comfortable though.

Been here yesterday for lunch with my colleague as we were on a hunt for authentic asian food and kofuku was call for the day. At first the simplistic and minimalistic decor got our eyes. The place is mainly inspired by Japanese style ambience having all the possible touches of Japan which will make your dining experience even more better. They have elegant bar serving n number of drinks and also few japanese drink on menu. The food here is main usp and honestly hands down to the chef for curating and bringing up such amazing food spread. In drinks we had blueberry and Malta virgin mojito which was presented well and the bartender had completely nailed the taste too. In appetizers we had prawn tempura sushi which I would highly recommend as it had tempura coated prawns inside the sticky rice and had fine texture to it. Lovely presentation and splendid taste too. We also tried yaki EBI which was skewered pan fried prawns (4 skewers 2 pieces each) the sweet and tangy fusion with a dash of 7 spice was indeed blissful to have. In mains kimchi fried rice was the call which was really well made by the chef having sunny side up egg on top. The spice balance was done well and overall presented quiet nicely. Also had spicy sour shrimp which had red gravy which was on a spicier and tangy side , the aroma of prawns was scintillating and plating was minimal yet amazing to look at. To sum our meal we had dorayaki recipe in dessert which was two layered pan cake having scoop of vanilla and beans in between topped with some squash. Kofuku really stands out and delivers amazing and most importantly authentic dining experience. It's a must visit place if you are someone in love with Japanese cuisine. The hospitality is flawless and Captain anand did fabulous job in hosting us. Kudos to the whole team for delivering seamless and peaceful dining experience.

Hands down the best Japanese and most authentic Japanese I have ever had! Kofuku has always been one of my favorite restaurant's in town and their Powai outlet is no different. The ambience and food both are authentic and this place is definitely a must visit. The following items are what I had, loved, and highly recommend. 1) creamy shrimp tempura - this dish was a 11/10 for me. It was so delicious and is something I'd visit kofuku again and again for 2) Hollywood roll - the best sushi I've had in a very very very long time. 3) pork gyoza - Pork filled dumplings, quite delicious. 4) hambagu steak - A hamburger style steak patty, super tender and delicious. All in all, I highly recommend this place!

From past few months my temptation for Japanese cuisine is pretty high. So i have been visiting some good Japanese restaurant in recent times, but after doing some reading some blogs many have written good things about this place. So finally i decided to visit this place with the person who have already visited this place. Ambience was awesome also it was divided into 2 section 1 - basic chair table, 2 - Typical Japanese style. I will suggest that if you are visiting this place then do sit in typical Japanese style section area. Staff was also good with good knowledge in cuisine. Anand was helping me with the menu. After lots of discussion I ordered some amazing dishes & i think if you are also clueless then you should also order from my list which is - dimsum soup, shrimp tempura roll, okonomiyaki, chicken MISO RAMEN, chicken katsu curry rice. If you asked me which one was good among these then for me everything was best. Specially the tempura roll for which I have visited this place. It was so perfect & taste was so authentic that no other place have even came close to this. Price might be on higher side but the quantity is excellent which you will hardly see in any premium restaurant. So every dish would be enough for 2 people also okonomiyaki is something you should definitely try after sushi. Overall it's the most authentic Japanese restaurant you will ever come across in Mumbai. For me this place will be my go to place if I ever tempt for this cuisine.

Nothing can beat Kofuku when it comes to authentic Japanese food. Have been here multiple time and have been disappointed. The ambiance here is lovely with outdoor & indoor seating. They also have a little section for Japanese syle seating. If you love sushi, you need to try their varieties of sushi’s...they’re absolutely amazing. Very fresh and amazing portions. Some of our other favs are the Japanese Katsu Curry, Veg Gyoza and the Mochi ice cream. The staff is really friendly, they helped us choosing the perfect food. Will definitely visit again especially to try out more of their sushis.

Good place for authentic japanese. There are lot of veg options. They do serve sake wine here. The apple sangria was also amazing. Enjoyed the sushi here. But I feel they can improve the bar menu and their selection of dessert.

We chose to dine in one of the authentic Japanese restaurant, Kofuku. It has a subtle ambience and also has the traditional dinning area. There is soft music that plays which makes it a perfect place for a delightful meal. We started of our meal with a Kani No Miso Shiru soup, it was a light and well flavoured soup with pieces of crabs in it. Followed by the soup we had two starters- Creamy Shrimp Tempura, which has a crisp coating and an amazing Wasabi sauce on it. The second one was Yaki gazu ( chicken), succulent and had a juicy filling . For the main course we had some amazing Miso Ramen, it was a wholesome dish. We ended our meal with a Dorayaki, a dessert with pancakes and ice-cream served with chocolate and strawberry sauce. The overall experience was great! Would definitely recommend anyone looking forward to having some authentic Japanese meal.

Went there for an authentic japanese meal but it was such a dissaponting experience! We had a reservation for 8.30 and arrived and were seated. It took a good 15mins for the waiter to get us menus post which another 15 to get us a bottle of water and our drinks arrived a bit later. We placed orders for 2 starters and after 20 mins the waiter to comes to confirm which ones they were, after another 15 mins one of the starters arrive and were very okay. Prawns on skewers and no dipping sauce. We reapeatedly asked for tissues but got none. After waiting for almost an hour the server comes to let us know the second starter is not available . Then took another 30 mins to get our replacement starter and a main dish. We waited another 30 mins for the bill at which point we went to the gate to just pay our bill there. The food was extremely dissaponting and the service was horrible for a 3k bill they gave us really waste of our time and money the only thing memorable was also the waiting we did.sadly this was not just a case with us but every other table was complaining about their horrible service!

An amazingly fancy japanese food place in powai. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating area with nicely decorated interiors. service here is really very good. the stewards are very helpful & also suggested some really good dishes. so we started with Kofuku special mocktail which was a blend of mango vanilla & some other flavours, it was very refreshing. next we called for dimsum soup, which was delicious, for appetizers we called for veg gyouza & hot & sour shrimps. our main course for the day were veg yaki soba noodles & chicken teriyaki. everything tasted really good & a pleasent place overall. surely visiting again.

⏩ Visited, this amazing restaurant located in Powai called Kofuku📍 ⏩ One of the best places in Mumbai where you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. ⏩ I tried, ➡️ Yaki Tori Chicken - This was one of the two appetisers I tried, grilled chicken was flavoured with an mouthwatering yakitori sauce. ➡️ Yaki Gyouza - These were the chicken pan fried dumplings, by far the most authentic dumplings I have ever tasted. ➡️ Mango Colada was one of the mocktails I tried, it was super freshing, made with mango juice, vanilla scoop, rasberry, the combination was just perfect. ➡️ Dorayaki - This was the dessert I tried, its a traditional Japanese sweet, 2 pancakes filled with vanilla cakes and chocolate chips, what can I say it was just amazing. ➡️ Teriyaki - Beautiful boneless chicken pan fried and served along with schezwan sauce, it was plated beautifully. ⏩ I really enjoyed my meal over here, had a great experience. Taste - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5 Staff & Service - 5/5

New hangout place around Powai on the Kailash complex road. Parking here is a little complicated and limited because it shares space with a few other restaurants. We ordered the Philadelphia Roll Sushi which was absolutely delicious with the wasabi and pickled ginger. Rock corn tempura was ok. It tasted more American than Japanese. We then ordered the Chef Special Curry (you need to order the sticky rice separately). This was amazing. Will definitely recommend this place.

Gulmohar is the one and only restaurant in IIT Bombay campus. It serves varieties from Indian, Chinese to Thai. Mocktails are available here. Ambience is good. Wooden chair. Good for groups and families. Servers are friendly. It is the cheapest for a restaurant. Food: #Chicken_Seek_Kabab: Not good. Worse comparing this to Seek Kabab of Kolkata. #Prawn_Fried_rice: Fried rice is good. #Roasted_Chicken_Chilly: Not that good as compared to normal chilly chicken. #ChickenDhuan: Spicy special chicken menu for roti, naan, kulcha etc. 4 pieces of chicken. Gravy enough for 4 rotis, kulchas or naan. #GarlicNunButter #NaliGhost: Mutton gravy. 4 pieces. Spicy. Enough for 4 roti, naan. #GheeKajuPulao: Quantity is very less, for one people. Nuts are roasted and so not good in taste. #ChickenTandoori: Best item in Gulmohar. Actually all chicken gravy items are made with this tandoori chicken as per I felt. Half plate is with 4 pieces of chicken. #ArabicChicken: Alternative to chicken tandoori and white in color. Half plate is made of 4 pieces and pieces are larger than that of tandoori. #KulfiFalooda: A nice desert. #ChickenDumBiriyani: As made in Marathi flavour, very bad in taste. #FreshLimeSoda #CrispyChicken: A chinese starter. Crispy and enough for 4 people. #ButterNaan: 2 butter naan is sufficient for a people. #MurgTikkaLababdar: Main course, 5-6 pieces of chicken, gravy, spicy. Chicken Amritsari: Gravy with eggs, cheaper than other chicken main course. Enough for 4 people. Stuffed Paratha: Very cheap to have a good replacement of naan. It's very good. CHILLI CHICKEN: Enough quantity for 2-3 people. Tastes good. VEG FRIED RICE: Not bad. Quantity is very less. MURGH RAJDARBARI: The expensive chicken main course with an unique taste. Sufficient for 6 breads. #SizzlingBrownieIcecream #ChickenAmritsari #StuffedParatha #VegFriedRice #ChilliChicken #RumaliRoti #restaurant_in_iitb

Firstly, the atmosphere and the vibes are just nice and chilled. The staff were nice and friendly. You get your starters and the drinks served on your table just the main course lunch/dinner and the sweets you will have to leave and take as it's a buffet. The food was nice and both the veg and non veg dishes tastes great. The sweets and the ice creams were especially delicious. Also its a nice place to organize your parties.

One of the best place where you can have the buffet (lunch or dinner). There are so many items and I bet u won't able to taste all. Ambiance is good, varieties of food (veg or non veg), good place to hangout with friends and family for celebration too. Must visit for every foody persona...

It is normal Barbecue buffet dinner restaurant. Nothing very special but much better then SIGRI at Hiranandani Powai. Just OK starters, just OK main course, normal desserts. Service is good ambiance also good but noisy. Overall you can try it at once.

  • 3/5 Asad K. 3 years ago on Google
It's a larger family restaurant which caters in buffet only with a decent ambience and a vast seating area which is good enough for all kinds of festivities, family, corporate, couples and others. The ambience is not extraordinary, it's decent but the large crowd it persuades overshadows the feel of the ambience. The menu includes five to six starters in veg. and non-vegetarian in which one can anticipate chicken, prawns, fish and mutton. There were three to four main course options with two different gravy and two different options in rice dishes. Then there's chaat, live counters for noodles, pizza and pasta and numerous dishes in the desserts area. The taste of the starters unexpectedly was the same, the ingredients were the same I presume because apart from the meat the starters tasted the same which shouldn't have happened. The main course was great, the taste of the gravy was quite good and the in rice Biryani and fried rice tasted just okay. The desserts were flavorful and it's something to look forward to. The service was quick, the staff was fine and made the customer feel respected which was good. The place attracts a huge crowd which is why sometimes the servings take time which should be improved. And because there are so many people the place at times feels clogged. The pricing is less than most buffet restaurants but is justified because the experience can be improved. It's a place worth trying.

This place is too good. we reccomend to reserve the tatami table which has japanese style seating and there are only 4 such tables. . Lets start with our fist dish wich was oh my god sushi which is a sushi roll which contains salmon, tuna, yellow tail and avacado and drizzled with chef special sauce which complimented the roll perfectly, this sushi roll was by far the best i have had in mumbai. . Then we ordered korean barbeque chicken which was served with barbeque dipping sauce which was very delectable, then chicken was very tender and was not spicy. . Third order was tonketsu ramen, we reccomend to order 1 per person only if you feel very hungry and if ypu ate many appetizers n not that hungry then order 1 bowl for 2 personas the quantity is alot.

Very good Japanese cuisine. Started with a very good Moso soup. Personally loved the Katsu Donburi (pork). Sushi & shashimi were good although I felt the shashimi wasn't cut very well. Finished with Mochi ice-cream which nice as well.

Hands down, the most exquisite and authentic Japanese restaurant in Mumbai, a must visit! The food that we had here was so good that we almost overate. An excellent place for getting jain food as well. The veg and non-veg food is also great here. The ambience was also nice considering we were placed in the traditional setting. They also had wireless calling system to call the waiters. Overall the experience was perfect.

One of the best restaurants in Greater Bombay area which serve authentic Japanese cuisine. I would rate the sushi and sake - 4/5 Fresh taste of the sushi with strong palate cleansing sake. Miso Ramen had wide array of flavours which would give satisfaction to your taste buds. The volume of the order of ramen is quite filling too. Must visit place for people having a craving for Japanese.

Kofufu is a heaven for the Japanese and Korean food enthusiasts in Mumbai. They have different types of sitting like proper Japanese style on the floor sitting, an indoor and outdoor plus a private Dine-in area with a big screen where you can watch your favorite sports or music along with delicious food. It's a vegetarian friendly place as well. We ordered both veg and non veg options. Food is really the USP of this place. They have an open kitchen concept and hygiene is maintained by all the staff and kitchen members. Weekends are jam-packed, we booked our table prior but due to heavy rush, we waited 15-20 min and I think that's why we got the private dine-in area as we were 5 people and no table outside was available.

Namaskara Foodies, I recently visited an amazing Japanese and Korean restaurant and was impressed by the delightful ambience and decor. The traditional setting added to the relaxed and cozy vibe, making it an excellent spot for both friends and families. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pricing for the food was quite reasonable. What we had: Squid Tempura Creamy Prawns Tempura Sausage Gimbap Korean style pork mandu Edamame Japchae My personal favorite dishes were the Squid Tempura and Japchae. The Squid Tempura was served with crispy fried spinach leaves and garlic, creating nice flavors that excite your taste buds. The Japchae was equally delicious, with glassy noodles, a colorful assortment of vegetables, and chicken topped with an omelette. While the Gimbap and Mandu were decent, I felt that the flavors of the meat could have been better. Overall, the dining experience was good, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a superb Japanese and Korean dining experience. Thank you for reading, have a great time fooding!

The ramen at Kofuku is among some of the best in mumbai. One serving is so filling that two people can share it. I would strongly recommend trying their rice cake and seafood ramen, both of which are too good. The service was decent and the staff was really polite.

I had a fantastic experience at my first Japanese restaurant! The sushi platter paired perfectly with the Soju, and the tempura was delightfully crispy. The ramen was just the right quantity and incredibly delicious. It's a must-visit spot for family and friends, with a variety of vegetarian options to explore.

Amazing food! If you like Japanese and Korean cuisines then you should visit this place. Love their Sushi rolls, Hotpot and mochi desert. They have cubicles as well wherein you can eat in kind of traditional way.
