Will not recommend now, as there is no clear view from top, it is famous for its view and now you will only see lush green trees. For trekking yes you can go by stairs or by road as it is surrounded by the forest trees, if you are lucky then you can see Dear roaming around.

Do visit this memorial dedicated to the ‘Father of the Nation’. Walk up to here and present yourself to some beautiful vistas contrasting the forest and city around it. Enjoy, beautiful views of the surrounding forest and the city at the same time! You can either walk up to the point through the stairs and the forest road. And plz keep silence.

The green scenery and natural beauty of this place will surely amaze you. You'll love walking on the road covered on both sides by green forest. Cool and calm environment will make you forgot everything. Best time to visit is during rainy season. Be careful of monkeys, they are everywhere.

Been visiting here for 30 years. Absolute icon of Borivali national park. You get excellent views of the mountains to the east and the city the west! Visited throughout the day by everyone from morning walkers to eloping couples to picnickers!

Peaceful & Pleasant Place to relax here. Generally people do perform Yoga early morning up to 7:30am. A Sunrise viewing gallery here is also an awesome place to witness Golden Sunrise and makes your day fantabulous. One must spend at least an hour here to find your inner peace.

Its a monumental place in the name of mahatma gandhiji, 30 mins walk from down, situated at a hill with picturesque location. Many places around national park can be visible from here lakes forest and animals, you will surely get a chance to see deers and peacock, if lucky you can also find other animals, the garden situated up at a hill is a great visit too.

Gandhi Tekdi is a small hillock located in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) in Mumbai, India. It is named after Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. The hillock is a popular tourist destination, offering panoramic views of the park and the city of Mumbai. The Gandhi Tekdi is a short walk from the main entrance of the SGNP. The walk up the hill is gentle and paved, making it accessible to people of all ages. There is a flight of stairs leading to the top of the hill, where there is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. The memorial is a white dome-shaped structure with a small garden in front of it. The views from the top of the Gandhi Tekdi are stunning. On a clear day, you can see the entire SGNP, as well as the city of Mumbai in the distance. The hillock is also a great place to spot wildlife, such as monkeys, peacocks, and deer. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to escape the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, then the Gandhi Tekdi is a great option. It is a short and easy hike, and the views from the top are definitely worth it. Here are some tips for visiting Gandhi Tekdi: The best time to visit is early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when it is cooler. Wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Bring a water bottle. Be respectful of the memorial and the wildlife. Here are some other things to do in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park: Visit the Kanheri Caves, a group of 109 caves dating back to the 2nd century BC. Go for a walk or hike in the park. Spot wildlife, such as monkeys, peacocks, and deer. Visit the Nature Interpretation Centre, which has exhibits on the park's flora and fauna. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Great place but avoid during covid times as its a small space on top and crowded especially during morning walk times.

One of the most peaceful place in entire National Park. Gandhi Tekdi offers 360° view of the SGNP. Lot of people come for walking/running and to do Yoga here. There is a very nice sitting place under the dome structure at Gandhi Tekdi. Also there is a very beautiful garden which is well maintained by authorities. During monsoon it is one of the most beautiful spot in National Park apart from Kanheri Caves which is deep inside the National Park abt 6km from the gate. There is a proper road that goes all the way to the top and also there is a separate route to climb it.
