One of my favourite church. The church is open for prayers and veneration from 5.30 am to 8 pm. It's closed between 1pm to 3pm. Sunday masses for max 50 people on first come basis are at 6.30am ,7.30am, 8.30 am and 9.30 am. Everyday masses are at 6.30 am and 7.30 am. All covid protocols are being followed properly. They have temperature check at the entrance gate, hand sanitization before entering the church and devotees are requested to sit on the marks placed on the benches (for maintaining proper social distance) I always have a peaceful experience visiting this church. Thank you to all the volunteers and guards who work hard to keep us safe.

One of the oldest church in Mumbai and also my favourite as I have been going since childhood. The place gets lit up in month of September for Mother Mary's birthday and thereafter during Xmas. The place gets beautifully decked with decorations and lightings and looks gorgeous during the night. The church architecture looks beautiful from the outside and inside. Best time to come here is before 8am, otherwise it is bit crowded. Before 8am, you can peacefully hear the mass and take pictures around. Opposite the church there's a nice stairway to the grotto of Mother Mary's statue and looks beautiful in the open sky and in the backdrop of the sea.

After a two-year hiatus brought on by the pandemic, the Annual Mount Mary fair, also known as Bandra Fair from September 11 to 18, know the 2022 dates, schedule and location. The fair was amazing. While walking towards the church you will see countless stalls that sell candles of different sizes and also different purposes. Mount Mary is known to fulfill your wish if you are very specific. So when I saw candles in the shape of legs, hands, chest, eyes etc. I asked the uncle of the stall. He said simplying the mystery, “If you have leg pain you offer the candle in the shape of leg, if back pain then offer the candle accordingly.” So next time you go there be careful to pick the type of candle. Also their alot of food stalls and shops are there ! Right from the spicy pickles to books shop available ❤️🙋🏼‍♀️❤️

What a peaceful and beautiful place! It's located high on top of a hill, the view is beautiful. When we reached there, it was closed. We didn't know that they close it from 1pm to 3pm. It was clean, easy parking available. Overall a nice experience.

The Basilica Of Our Lady of The Mount, also known as Mount Mary Church Bandra is dedicated to Our Blessed Virgin Mary. The feast is celebrated on 8th September. The Holy church is very well maintained and is open to people of all faith. Not just catholics but also people of other religious communities also come here to pray and pay their respects to Our Blessed Virgin Mary. The church is also a very popular tourist destination.

Nice Basilica on a small hillock overlooking the Arabian sea. Fairly large hall adorned with beautiful idol and several depiction of stories from Bible. The building itself is quite beautiful and was under repairs at time of visit (Dec 2023) Sit in peace and pray. Removing shoes is not mandatory but may devotees take other out. Free entry, large parking space inside the premises and outside as well.

It's one of the most beautiful shrines of Mother Mary. Within the hustling and bustling city of Mumbai this place provides silence, calm and relief. It is just serene and beautiful to come and secure in front of our blessed mother. A shrine with a rich history and tradition. You will find parking within the shrines complex on regular days but on feast days and significantly important days it will be difficult to find parking.

Historic church more than 100 years old. Located in the heart of the city in Bandra, on top of the hill near the seashore. The church is huge & well maintained. Surrounded in greenery on every side. When we visited there was a marriage ceremony going on so we got a chance to attend that. If you're interested in architecture, culture and heritage sites, this place is surely a go to place for you. Do visit.

The building is so picturesque that I often visit it. There is a small market where you can buy candles and other offerings. The church is illustrated with Jesus life stories and spiritual quotes. A great place to visit as part of your cultural heritage. The Mount Mary Fair usually begins in September and lasts a week or two. It usually means that everything we pray here will come true.

Mount Mary located at Bandra West. It's near by a bandra band stand. In the month of September the fair started for a week. When the fair started it looked most beautiful. In the fair there were various types of jewelry, toys, show pieces, clothes, etc. are available in reasonable price. The blessed and most beautiful church ever. I loved to go every time to this church. Thank you🙏🌹

I was struck by the positive energy and peaceful atmosphere of this special place. The basilica is a beautiful and serene sanctuary that offers a quiet and calming space for prayer and reflection. As soon as I entered the basilica, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over me. The architecture and design of the building are truly stunning, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating a space that is both welcoming and spiritually uplifting. The Lady of Mount is an especially powerful figure, and her presence is felt throughout the basilica. Whether you're a practicing Catholic or simply looking for a moment of quiet contemplation, the basilica is a wonderful place to find spiritual renewal and recharge. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount. It's a truly special place that offers a respite from the noise and chaos of everyday life, and it's a great destination for anyone seeking peace, tranquility, and spiritual renewal.

It is divine.. Just go here, even if you have to travel a bit.. tell the taxi/auto that you want to visit the church. Then they take you up a small hill where the church is.. the church itself is beautiful and extremely peaceful.. There is definitely something special about this place.. something is very peaceful and nice about it.. we went in the evening and loved every moment of it... will definitely go back again whenever it is possible... Just a small walk of 2 minutes down the church and you can see another amazing place in Mumbai called the bandstand... it is also very much worth visiting

Standing tall since the 16th century, this iconic church in Mumbai has seen countless seasons and people. Enjoy a walk in the dense green neighborhood, and spend time admiring the architecture and design of this beautiful church. Cited as one of the most beautiful churches in the city, The Mount Mary Church has stood the test of time and one must visit this place. Located in Bandra, Mount Mary Church is Roman Catholic Basilica which must be visited on the first Sunday after September 8 for the grand feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The popular Bandra Fair, an annual fair following the Feast Of The Nativity of Mount Mary on the first Sunday after September 8, is a local experience that's worth checking out if you happen to be in the city.

I had a wonderful time visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Mumbai. The church is located on the sea-shore of Bandra and has a serene and peaceful atmosphere. It is easy to reach by buses and taxis. The church is a popular pilgrimage site for devotees of Mother Mary, who believe in her miraculous powers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the rich heritage and culture of Mumbai.

Peace of mind feels here. One of the best church in India I feel. Personal photos are not allowed. Neat and clean washrooms available. There is a belief that one can take oath for any of the health diseases and it surely recover here. One can lit candles on opposite side fire place. Wax Pieces of human legs, hands etc. are sold on outside shops. Every year there is a fair for one week starting on 8th of September. Autos, Buses and Taxis are available at Bandra Railway station around 3 km away.

We also had a long walk across the fair and did m some street shopping. For those unaware Bandra Fair starts from the first sunday after Mother Mary’s birthday and lasts untill the next Sunday!

The basilica stands on a hillock, about 80 metres above sea level overlooking the Arabian Sea. It draws lakhs of devotees and pilgrims annually. Many of the faithful attest to the miraculous powers of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The shrine attracts people from all faiths who pray to the Virgin Mary for expressing their gratitude or requesting favours. The church was raided and destroyed in 1738 during the Mahratta Invasion of Bassein, led by the Peshva Brahmin Chimaji Appa. It was rebuilt in British Bombay. Great place to visit as it brings calmness and relaxation to mind.

One of the beautiful churches and everyone is welcomed with open arms. The church was decorated beautifully this month though there was a Christmas program going on but still tourists were allowed to visit the church and experience the mass without any issues. One must definitely visit this church without fail if you are in Mumbai.

The first thing comes in my mind when any person says carnival that is Bandra fare. I'm glad to share my experience because since childhood we all go with family & friends it's really fun, one can visit church and while getting down from stairs you will get to see alot of sweet shops and stuffs, there are Snacks shops to eat, Giant wheel (September Garden) they had mentioned on their Advertisement, Rides, Casual Jewellery to shop, Toys for kids, etc. And if you go to sea side there will be people who click photos and give it to you within 5-10mins and it's pretty cool stuff like you can capture good memories with your beloved. Going to put some pictures of carnival.
