Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the oldest & powerful temples in the Mumbai. At the entrance Triambakesawr temple will there & the main temple has three idols Mahalaxmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. On weekdays there will be no rush & Separate line for gents and ladies , they've free chappal stand at the temple. The backside of temple had beautiful sea view but it's not clear now because of the coastal project . From Mahalakshmi station you’ll get taxis to reach temple. # Visit Haji Ali Dargah (which is walkable distance from the temple)

    * Mahalakshmi Temple consists of three Deities Shri Mahalakshmi, Shri Mahakali and Shri Mahasaraswati. * The best time to visit Mahalakshmi temple would be in the month of winter, from October to March. During those months, Mumbai’s temperature is pleasant and you might also get a chance to attend the special Navratri aarti or Diwali celebrations. * On a normal day, you can complete your visit to Mahalakshmi Temple complex in around 30 minutes. During rush hours you might need about an hour though. * The timings to visit Mahalakshmi Temple Mumbai are between 6 AM to 10 PM. Entry is free and you can watch the aarti live as per the scheduled timings. * Also, visit Mahalakshmi Temple early in the morning for a comfortable darshan, as the rush isn’t much. * To reach here nearest railway station is Mahalaxmi.. Its hardly 20 minutes walk from Mahalkshmi Railway Station, or you can take kaali-peeli taxi it should take maximum 10 minutes , fare should be around maximum ₹60-65. Or you can take share cab also, they charge you Rs. 20 per person.. * This temple is located on the sea shore and now due to the road work, the sea is not visible. * Mung bhajji is very famous dish here.. ( Rs. 40/- per plate ). * One thing that impressed me that is the cleanliness of the temple. Despite the large number of visitors, the temple was spotless and free of litter. * The atmosphere of inside the temple is serene and peaceful, you should visit this temple with your family...

The Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of the city of Mumbai, India. It is dedicated to Mahalakshmi the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam. The temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji (1760–1846), a Hindu merchant. Built around 1785, the history of this temple is supposedly connected with the building of the Hornby Vellard. Apparently after portions of the sea wall of the Vellard collapsed twice, the chief engineer, a Pathare Prabhu, named Ramji Shivji Prabhu, dreamt of a devi statue in the sea near Worli. A search recovered it, and he built a temple for it. After this, the work on the vellard could be completed without a hitch. The Mahalaxmi temple contains images of the Tridevi goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. All three images are adorned with nose rings, gold bangles and pearl necklaces. The image of Mahalakshmi is in the center shown holding lotus flowers in tandem. The compound of this temple contains several stalls that sell flower garlands and other paraphernalia used by devotees for worship and as offering.

Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the oldest & holly temple in the Mumbai city. At the entrance of the temple you can see Triambakesawr mahadev temple. Inside the triambakeswar mahadev temple many other temples like hanumanji, Ganapatiji's temples situated. In the main temple three idols situated. first One is Mahalaxmi, second one is Mahakali and the third is Mahasaraswati. When you see this tri idols of goddess you definitely feel positive, realx, peace and faith, this experience is amazing and you feel it. On weekdays there will be no rush & Separate line for gents and ladies, so you can properly see to all this tri goddess darsgan. Out side the temple they've free chappal, shoes stands. So you can put your shoes, chappal etc. Lots of sweet shop outside the temple, so you can buy prashad from there. The backside of temple had beautiful sea view but it's not clear now because of the coastal project. There are hotels to stay near this temple. The temple is well maintained by the temple authorities. From Mahalakshmi station you’ll get taxis to reach temple at very cheap price. After visiting this temple you can visit one of the most famous Haji Ali dargah at walking distance. Jai mata di.

This temple located on Bhulabhai Desai Road is a very famous temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The idols of Goddesses Mahakali and Mahasaraswati are also enshrined at this temple. One can walk in at any point of time in the day. There are some stairs but not many, hence even senior citizens can visit the temple conveniently. Garlands and sweets for offerings are available outside the temple. Go and take some blessings from and spend some time with inner soul. If you found this review helpful please mark helpful :-)

Beautiful temple and easily reachable. Weekday the crowd is comparatively less. Lots of sweets shops outside the temple. Parking is an issue if you take your own vehicle. Would suggest use taxis. They will just drop and go. V

It's good and well managed though especially in the recent times of Covid. I visited on 26th Feb 2021, but if you are a travel enthusiast than not much is there to do here. Also, photography is strictly banned so I couldn't take much pictures over here, but I'm putting those that I managed to take somehow. Flowers and sweets, nothing is allowed right now and be careful if you carry your child for they wouldn't be allowed to enter the temple as well. This is done in regard to ensure the child's safety who are easily susceptible to the virus. Rest go and have a fine time if you are a spiritual person or want to explore the religious part of India in Mumbai. There are many temples near as well. So you can visit them also. Timings are from 6am to 9pm ISTj

No pre-booking required for Darshan. Prasad and Lotus not accepted by Mandir officials due to covid guidelines. You can enjoy south indian food in the premises. Nearest Places to visit swaminarayan mandir and Antillia Amabani's home.

Temple is very peaceful but was very much crowded . Should maintain crowd control at temple. Should install police force also for controlling the mass crowd outside the temple. It is taking too long for Darshan. Please ensure that crowd is controlled properly . Keep different entry gates so that crowd gets controlled. See the crowd in the picture.

Peaceful and serene experience here. The temple authorities have a pass booking system on their website for a visit to the temple. The temple is right next to the seashore making it even more pleasant. There is a beautiful "Sankat Mochan Hanuman" temple and an old Mahadev temple right outside the main exit of the temple. Definitely pay a visit there too.

Built in 1831 by a Hindu merchant named Dhakji Dadaji, this beautiful temple attracts numerous devotees daily. And more so on Diwali and Navaratra. On these two occasions, Shri Mahalakshmi is believed to come alive and grant the wishes of her worshippers. The other two deities housed here are Shri Mahasaraswati and Shri Mahakali. The vernacular domestic architecture of the temple and its unique surroundings, dotted with sweet and flower shops, make Mahalakshmi Temple an integral part of Maharashtra tourism.

Mahalaxi temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji, a Hindu merchant. The Mahalaxmi temple contains images of the three goddesses Maha-kali, Maha-lakshmi, and Maha-saraswati. The locality is known Mahalaxmi. In the street for Mahalaxmi temple, I saw a beautiful temple of bajrangbali in golden colour. Presently it opens at 8 AM due to covid-precaution. But the timing may be restored with early opening in coming days. It's also a famous tourist spot in Mumbai for Hindoos.

Jai Mata Di! Nice temple of Laxmi Mata located almost on the sea shore. Very auspicious place. Ladies n gents separate lanes. Queue are managed well inside the temple but the queue starts from outside and noone has any control over it. Footwear, chappal stand is available but no monitoring. No parking space available. But it's Laxmi Devi so must visit place with all this hurdles.

Getting into the temple is challenging. Wait until you reach the actual temple stairs to buy an offering to the Goddess. Your prayers will be answered however the only condition is to keep faith.

A great temple to visit. It’s has a very old story, during the initial days a dam was to be built near the temple but it was not getting build so after investigation it was found that the temple was to be made new after which the dam could be built and it happened so. The temple was built and around dam was also built. The story is what I have heard over the years no proofs with me. A good news for everyone is that a new bus A77 is started by best. It’s has okay frequency around the route from Beach Candy hospital to Byculla Station west.

Shree Mahalakshmi temple is one such temple with a fulfilling and complete sense which one would feel once they enter the main temple premises. Best time to reach the temple is to be there by 6 pm to have an experience of life time with the main Aarti. Aarti here is the most beautiful and enlightening experience one will have in their life and feels like we’re getting closer what we want to achieve in our lives by losing all the unnecessary ties of life. The temple is situated closer to the sea and situated amongst other constructions so might not feel very spacious and easy to reach. You can find parking in the left lane of the signal instead of going and paying those cash mongers near the temple. There is a lord Rama and Hanuman temple on the way to this temple, one can visit them and take theertham. The temple is very easy to find through google maps and we need to walk around half a kilometer to reach the shrine.

Adishakti Mata Ekvira Devi Temple is very spiritual and holy place, Specially for Agri & Koli community (Fishermens). It's placed on the Karla hill. This temple was build by Paach Pandav in Mahabharata time zone. You can reach here by bus or train, from lonavla you will get auto. Lots of steps to climb the hill. Also there is a short cut road upto middle. You can visit this place in one day if you are staying in mumbai or nearby. Environment is very spiritual and full of energy. Fresh air, very supportive locals. Lots of shops adjacent to stairs. Which sells different items, from food to fashion and ofcourse devotional things. Lodge facility is also there and some locals gives facility to cook your food (nonveg or veg) for groups or families. Safe place for families with children's. Overall highly spiritual and energetic, refreshing experience. One must visit the place and experience this. "Adishakti Mata Ekvira Devi ki jai" 🙏🙏🙏

This temple located on Bhulabhai Desai Road is a very famous temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The idols of Goddesses Mahakali and Mahasaraswati are also enshrined at this temple. It is on the seashore at the northern side of Malabar hills. The temple is close to Mahalakshmi railway station. For having gone there you may also find time to visit other two temples of Lord Tryambakeshwar and Lord Mahadev near this temple. The waves of the Arabian Sea form a perfect background to this holy shrine. One can reach here easily by means of local transport in Mumbai. The location of the temple with sea shore as backdrop is very attractive with natural scenery. The famous "Haji Ali Dargah" is another nearby attraction for tourists to visit.

I recently visited Mahalaxmi Temple and had a wonderful experience. The temple is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The architecture of the temple is stunning, and the intricate details on the walls and ceilings are breathtaking. One thing that impressed me was the cleanliness of the temple. Despite the large number of visitors, the temple was spotless and free of litter. The atmosphere inside the temple is serene and peaceful, and I felt a sense of calm and tranquility during my visit. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting Mahalaxmi Temple to anyone who is interested in Hindu culture and architecture. It is a wonderful place to spend a few hours, and the experience is sure to leave you feeling spiritually uplifted.

It's a nice and peaceful place to visit with your family. Neat, clean and well maintained temple. Usually crowded and there is a huge queue. Have to wait for 30 min for darshan. Parking available and bus stop around 500 meters away. Cabs are available nearby. Usually during weekends and in the evening it's more crowded. Shoes stand outside the temple without any charges. I need to walk 250 meters from the main road.

The Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of India and is located in the heart of Mumbai city. It is a temple dedicated to goddess Mahalakshmi , being the central deity of devi mahatmiyam. The temple was built almost 2 centuries back by a merchant. Thousands of devotees visit this temple every day to seek blessings. During festival times, the crowd swells multiple times. One has to climb up some steps to reach the shrine. There are rest rooms available within the premises. Feel so blessed to have received darshan of the goddess.

It's indeed one of the most renowned temples in Mumbai, attracting a large number of devotees and visitors. Here's a summary of the information you provided: Prasad and Garlands: Outside the temple, there are various shops where you can purchase prasad (offerings) and garlands to present to the goddess. These offerings hold significance in Hindu rituals and are commonly made by devotees during temple visits. Crowd Levels: Typically, the temple is not very crowded on weekdays, providing a more peaceful and relaxed environment for devotees. However, Fridays are considered special as it is Mahalaxmi day, so it may be busier on that particular day. Travel Options: To reach the temple, you can take a shared taxi from Mahalaxmi railway station or use the bus services available from Dadar railway station. These transportation options make it convenient for devotees and visitors to access the temple from different parts of the city.

Goddess Mahalakshmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu and it is customary among Hindus to visit Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple and Padmavathi Temple as a yatra (pilgrimage). It is believed that visiting these temples as a pilgrimage helps achieve moksha (salvation). Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of Mumbai situated on Bhulabhai Desai Road in Mahalaxmi area. It is dedicated to Mahalakshmi the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam.

Lets talk about the elegant temple which is situated in the ❤️ hearts of Mumbai , the Mahalaxmi temple. & It's managed by the temple trust totally. So let's crack about the atmosphere the mandir is situated in a beautiful place becide the sea ⛵ . But the sad part is due to the construction of the coastal road project the sea is being covered by the granules and the mandir is totally covered . But the mandir is as good as it was . The darshan hardly takes 20 to 30 minutes approx in peak hours and weekends but it's quite empty all the time & you will get an amazing darshan . Talking about the parking the temple has dedicated parking but it's quite inside . And if you are traveling by local then you have to deport mahalaxmi station and from there you can catch a taxi which will leave in front of the mandir and they charge around 15 rupees only so it's quite convenient . And last but not the least lets talk about the shopping & food stalls out there so if you are coming here and offering some flowers and sweets to God then there are many stalls out there. And you can buy Devi murti also . And if you are hungry for some food or quick bites then there are many stalls which offer you a large variety of foods and it's quite reasonable to have a bite .. so enjoy your wonderful darshan 💓

Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Temple is a divine experience filled with tradition and spirituality. The narrow entrance leads you into a realm of devotion and faith. Separate queues for men and women respect cultural norms, fostering a serene atmosphere. Ascending the steps to reach the temple adds to the sense of reverence. Fridays witness a bustling crowd, enhancing the vibrant energy and fervor of this sacred place. A must-visit to immerse oneself in the cultural richness and spiritual ambiance.

Shree Mahalaxmi is the godess of luxury, money, wealth and prosperity. One can fulfill the wishes by praying Mahalaxmi Mantra. During festivals like Navratri or Diwali this temple is overcrowded. There is Ram Mandir also at the entrance. Mahalaxmi Temple was surrounded by sea but now encircled with construction of seaside roads.

Ekvira Temple is located just 6-7 kms from lonawala. There are around 300 - 350 steps to the top. Best time to visit is early in morning or around evening owning to less devotees and on weekdays. Weekends can see a large inflow of devotees.

The trekking experience is not great. The steps are uneven. Place is crowdy. The kalra cave entry seems pricey(25rs per person) for not so properly maintained structure. Most of the exhibits are closed. No social distancing, not hygenic.

Didn't visit inside the temple because of the heavy rush. But a good place to visit both for trekkers and devotees. A steep slope but stairs are there. However, pregnant ladies, heart patients and orthopaedic patients should take care as the climb is high and at one place is difficult.

I must say not much maintained especially parking management is disastrous. My wife & me both had been saved by others while climbing & going down from slip & falling down. The main disaster was both time we were holding our 10 month baby girl one by one so our baby girl was lucky two times despite my wife's one leg fully twisted & almost baby girl touched to the ground. Imagine stairs are not safe at all for kids and old age ones!

It is always divine feeling to come to Mahalaxmi temple. It is an over 200 year old temple. Approach is from the gate of Trimbakeshwar mahadev mandir as well as a direct road little ahead on the same road. Parking is difficult to get. There are many shops selling Pooja thali 50-100rs as you approach the temple. You can keep your footwear there and then go ahead. The temple is on a small hill so you have to climb 40-50steps to get to the temple.Once you reach there you feel divine as temple is spic and span. The silver dwajstambh and copper and gold shikharkalash are awe-inspiring. There is queue to get closer darshan of the deity. It can be long and take time so try to go early before tourist crowd starts coming. Staff can get rough and pushy during crowded days. Darshan of the three gold faced idols blows all your tiredness away. Now they are not allowing to go behind the temple so have to miss excellent seaview. After darshan you can have cheap and tasty southindian breakfast at the base. From Mahalaxmi railway station ShareTaxi takes 20rs per person While taxi fare comes to hardly 40rs Don't fall for pushy share taxi drivers if you are more than 2 people.

Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of Mumbai situated on Bhulabhai Desai Road in Mahalaxmi area. It is dedicated to Mahalakshmi the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam. The temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji, a Hindu merchant. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, formerly known as Sahar International Airport, is situated about 20 km from this place. It is only 1 km from Mahalakshmi railway station in Mumbai Mumbai is well-connected with national highways and expressways . Visit by BEST buses or PVT Mumbai Darshan buses is the most economical for individual tourists. Can also get taxi from any location to reach place.

Shri Mahalakshmi Temple is currently open for devotees under specific time slot of the day. Rush is regulated in excellent way. And all security checkings are strictly done before giving entry in the temple. Staff is cooperative. Non contact type darshan process is followed in the sense of Covid time. Other nearby stalls, small temples, Restaurants are also open for limited time in a day. Vehicular approach to the temple is not recommended since the road to the temple is narrow and highly create traffic jam situations even by 4 wheelers and two wheeler.

One of the old ans prime temples of Mumbai. Mahalakshmi temple is situated just near the start Peddar Road flyover. Currently this place has become little crowded and messed up due to coastal road work going on nearby. Mahalakshmi station is the nearest rail head.

Mahalaxmi Mandir is a beautiful temple of Mahalaxmi. On the main toad there is Swamy Narayan Temple, just next to it a small lane takes you to the Mahalaxmi Mandir. The temple's main hall has 3 idols of goddesses. Photography is strictly prohibited here.

The 18th-century Mahalaxmi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, graces the seashore in proximity to the Haji Ali Dargah. The temple doesn't offer parking facilities and tends to be particularly bustling on weekends. Inside the temple premises, photography is not allowed, ensuring a sacred atmosphere. Receiving blessings from Mahalaxmi is an enchanting encounter. Upon departing, indulge in the delectable street food options near the temple. Personally, I enjoyed the pav bhaji at Balaji Restaurant, and it was truly delightful.

The Mahalakshmi Temple in Mumbai is a truly divine experience that warrants a 5-star rating. The serene ambiance and spiritual aura of the temple are awe-inspiring. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of peace and devotion. The intricately designed architecture and beautifully adorned idols create an atmosphere of reverence. The temple is a perfect place to seek solace, offer prayers, and connect with the divine. The positive energy is palpable, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists. However, I must acknowledge that the temple's location does present a challenge. The issue of road congestion and traffic around the area can be quite frustrating, especially during peak hours. This can sometimes hinder the ease of reaching the temple, which is something that the local authorities might want to address. Despite the road and traffic concerns, the experience at Mahalakshmi Temple is unparalleled. I highly recommend visiting this spiritual haven to anyone seeking a connection with the divine, cultural enrichment, and a glimpse into Mumbai's spiritual heritage. Just be prepared for potential traffic delays, and your visit will be well worth it.

A very different peaceful feeling here. Not too much crowd even when I went on Friday morning. You can get a nice sea view from behind the temple. Plenty small snacks shops outside in the walkway to enjoy after a peaceful darshan.

There is a lot about this temple.. people believe the worship here is worth life time of getting blessings from mahalakshmi. Situated in appsj locality of Mumbai, the temple has changed a lot over the years. The rush I this temple is too high makes the darshan taking lot of time.. However,it is well organised with volunteers. Everyone to visit and have blessings from Shree Mahalakshmi devi.

Awesome temple... Felt very happy for visiting this temple... Lot of crowd but felt after darsan. Must visit when you are in Mumbai. Currently they are now allowing to go back river side as there is some work going on.
