I had a rather unpleasant experience at Holy Family Hospital. While there were a few competent nurses and doctors, I noticed that some of them lacked dedication and seemed to be there just to fill a shift. There's a female security person who was incredibly rude with patients' relatives, behaving as if she owned the hospital and the patients were receiving free treatment. It's essential for them to remember that everyone is paying for the services, whether it's a general ward or a super deluxe ward. The way she asks relatives to leave was incredibly impolite, and I believe she should exercise her duty with more courtesy and respect. When I told her to be more polite, they started taking revenge by standing outside the general ward while night. Don't understand for what!? Overall, I was disappointed with the level of professionalism and patient care at this hospital.

It is the most terrible hospital I have ever been to. The doctors are also very bad. For a normal minor issues they will ask you to do bunch of useless test related to nothing. They charge also a lot for a single consultation. On top of that they just take cash for consultation even if the charge is very high. The doctors won't even listen to your issues completely. There is no-one in the reception also to guide you and stuff. It is the most unorganised place you will ever find.

I have come here multiple times in the last 10 years and it has been a mixed bag. Firstly, there are unnecessarily complex procedures everywhere. Let's say you need to do a test, first you need to get a paper from the concerned lab or department, then go all the way to the payment line which has a huge queue, then go to the pharmacy and get another paper note and then again queue for payment. I can't understand why there are only only two windows for payment. Some of the machines like the 2D Echo are fully booked. Despite an appointment, they let 3 other patients go ahead of me and told me I have to take an appointment, which I had already taken. The doctors are usually good but I wouldn't trust all the laboratory results. You can google "Gall Bladder Woman Holy Family" to know what happened here - apparently a woman without a gall bladder was told that she had her gall bladder is fine. The crowds here are unmanageable. Don't get fooled because it's a missionary hospital, it's not much cheaper than a Lilavati. The doctors are probably similar or the same at other hospitals. Parking outside is a nightmare too. Canteen is not bad and has options.

Holy family hospital is become one of the the worst hospital in Bandra. Worst than any government hospitals. It should get a "ZERO" rating, but that option is not available. My relative had to be hospitalised in emergency as he had a brain haemorrhage. He was taken to the hospital at 8:30 there was an internal bleeding, it was suggested that an emergency surgery would have to be performed. At 10:30 we were told to deposit 1lakh for the surgery. We stay in khar 20th rd. It took half hour for me to get the cash to the hospital. It was 11 when I reached with the cash till I pay the bill it was 11:45 , they did not start the surgery as the amount was not paid. Only when the receipt was shown to them the surgery was started. After the surgery was completed at 1:00 nobody bothered to tell us the outcome of the surgery, apart from that we were told to pay 5 lakhs in advance for the next surgery, which they were not sure weather it would be needed and they were not even giving a guarantee that he would be fine. Next day in the afternoon around 2 we were informed that there's still a blood clot in the brain and the doctor who performed the surgery said that he is helpless n cannot do anything. Our patient was critical but they were only bothered about money. We immediately shifted him to nanavati hospital yesterday evening. Which again took 4 hours even after clearing the bill. One night charges including the surgery was 3lakhs. Admitted at 8:30 night on 31st and discharged on 1st at 6:00pm... Not even 24hrs.... Today in Nanavati hospital his condition has improved and the doctors have assured that he would be fine.

Docs are good but the staff are the worst.....rude rude and careless and there is no logic to their rules and regulations..... One of their rules says children under 10 are not allowed......when my daughter who is 10 and half years walks in......the security lady rudely tells me (the father of the child) that she is not 10 years old.....i was both frustrated and amused at the fact that she is challenging the biological father about his child's age......not sure who hires such characters.....

Wanted to check maternity service for my sister in law and had never expected such experience from them. Over the phone reception straightforward said they Do Not take other doctor's patients. Later during one of my visit the staff seemed very lazy and I won't be surprised if majority patients are forced for cesarean. This is very disappointing where patients are left helpless. Hope they read this and amend their ways. This hospital had good reputation but these people are spoiling it. The sorry state of today medical facilities in a city like Mumbai.

An extremely unproffessional ,disorganised and filthy hospital. Hospital staff are extremly rude and the doctors treat patients like garbage.Especially a certain doctor with the name Vernon Sequeira. He arrives late for appointments and yells at patients. Does not explain anything to the patients and reacts to the concerns of patients like a lunatic. The OPD staff seem frustrated with their jobs and the entire hospital looks like a scene from a 1900s war zone. But the worse thing about HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL are the extremly arrogant doctors and medical team who treat patients like mosquitoes. The doctors behave like they are GODS and care about nothing but money! It is doctors and medical staff like Vernon Sequeira and the rest of the team at HOLY FAMILY who give a bad name to such a nobel proffession. Shame on everyone at Holy Family Hospital Bandra!

This is worst than a government hospital. There are no covid protocols followed and the nurses have no clue what they are doing. It’s like a training school for them and they do anything they want. They don’t wear masks and gloves while treating a patient and the whole hospital is dirty and unhygienic. You have to call the nurses 10-15 times to come and help you and they act as if they’re doing you a favour. I would rather die than go to holy family hospital again. The staff is rude and they make you run around the hospital for no reason. Don’t ever go to holy family hospital. It’s a complete waste of time abs money.

There was some renovation work going on, but the hospital was clean and well maintained. They are strict when it comes to visitors, but I believe it is for the good of the patients.

One of the very less non commercial hospitals in Mumbai with all top facilities and doctors. The nurses and brothers are very helpful and caring. Importance giving to heath care more than making money. A bit old school with its rooms but any day a better bet for health care

I don't even want to give a ONE start rating however forced to proceed. Worst hospital and staff. Not at all helpful and just want to loot people as much as possible. The insurance agents there too are very bad with no proper information. Kept my mom for angiography on Tuesday 25th Jan for a day and discharge to be done on Wednesday 26th Jan. However 26th Jan being a Holiday no staff or counters open and discharge not possible which mean another day is charged. Till now the hospital already knows that its under mediclaim and she is a senior citizen. Today when we approached for discharge early morning they inform today also will be charged as until the formalities are completed and insurance is done half day will go so bed charges will be included. My mom was given a bed which had a cradle which means I'm guessing its for expected mothers. NO OPTIONS LEFT OR CHANCE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE ON THIS. The bed allocated to my mom was not even told that its not included under mediclaim and charges are separate so will be charged for 3 days bed charges.. Again NO ONE THERE TO ASSIST ON THIS. Anyways the hospitals requires alot of CHARITY for people like us who are helpless and have to do what they say. SO I say that I have donated to the Hospital all of the additional scam of bills that were presented to us. Anyways lesson learnt for future.

My family member was recently operated here, the hospital's TPAs really need training and a qualification to understand the insurance process of a cashless facility. Being in a cashless facility, at the time of discharge our insurance company informed that we need to pay a certain amount for operational equipments in OT. Instead of questioning & clearing the issue with the insurance company, they remove print-outs of our bills and tell us to pay. Such useless & pathetic people are sitting in the TPA department. It is not advisible to get treated on a cashless facility here, since the hospital doesn't know the meaning of cashless insurance. However severe your health may be, these lord-falk TPAs will tell you to run for your own paper work everytime in whichever condition you may be. This hospital doesn't have a standard canteen too, they hire people(may be their own) to sell food and they'll only expect you to eat the food that is sold inside the hospital. But they will strictly not allow outside food. The patients family members & relatives often get in a tussle with the security guards.

Being a hospital getting through on the phone is a nightmare. The staff should be sensitised to answer the calls and wait for the person to complete speaking and not disconnect the phone. They are either disconnecting the phone or not answering.

Doctors conceal information . Nursing care 0/10 Doctors 5/10 Cost High compared to care given . Getting TREATMENT OVER HERE MEANS YOU DON'T LOVE YOUR RELATIVE OR FRIENDS.

Had a bad experience when my neighbor fallen down day before Christmas, he was under medical insurance scheme management authority told unless and until your approval come from medical insurance company we will not going to operate, other wise you pay the amount later we will compensate you. Today I face second most bad experience from holy family. When I admitted my daughter new born baby at the time of admission they told baby will be ok in few hours, but they make it more worst and cortical. Dr. Ganesh Shinde totally spoil the baby case.

Holy family hospital is pathetic. The senior doctors are good but the staff is terrible. They’re undertrained and have no clue what they’re doing. The hospital is dirty and unhygienic and they don’t follow covid protocols. Nurses don’t wear hand gloves and masks while attending to the patient. I would definitely not recommend this hospital to anyone. It is worst than a government hospital. The staff don’t know any procedures and they make you run around for no reason and all they care about is their money. The top management and trustees must look into this if they care enough cause the staff and hospital premises is filthy.

Few Good Doctors working AT A WRONG PLACE, The Hospital Staff is rude and worst ever seen, patient relatives are already in stress but with such rude arrogant staff, they themselves will get admitted in hospital due to more stress, NO HUMANITY VALUES, and seem to be using blood money for PAID POSITIVE REVIEWS HERE Suggestion: The HOLY Family hospital should rename itself as UNHOLY Hospital. I just wanted to bring to your notice the unprofessional behavior by Dr. Shaikh who works out of the nurses station on the Second floor. I was a patient admitted at Holy Family Hospital from 6th October to 11th October, in room 205-1, under the care of Dr. Rajesh Uchil, for a fever that kept coming back. After various tests were performed the cause wasn't determined. After not having a fever for two days, as decided by Dr. Uchil, the procedure for my discharge from the hospital had been initiated, after which Dr. Shaikh came and told me that my paperwork is being processed to which I inquired as to what was the reason I got the fever. He said that it was Acute Febrile Illness, which I had no information about. After a while, I used the call button to be able to speak to Dr. Shaikh, and since I had the IV in my arm, and after calling the nurses station twice, I decided to walk there with my IV stand, since no one showed up, as I wanted to know a little about Acute Febrile Illness. When I went to the nurses station Dr. Shaikh was standing and on his phone. I then asked him if he could tell me what exactly is Acute Febrile Illness coz if I have to visit another doctor after I'm discharged, I will have a better understanding. To which Dr. Shaikh snapped back at me in front of all the nurses and people there, and said, "if the person you go to is a doctor, then he will understand what Acute Febrile Illness is, and I have no time to tell you in detail." Whereas, he was now sitting and on his phone. I was taken aback by his rudeness and then told him that he was getting paid and was there to make the patients understand their illnesses, and had no right to be rude to me or any other patient for that matter. After which I stormed back to my room. This is in no way acceptable and I am very upset by the way he spoke to me. I hope he will be spoken to regarding this matter as it is not acceptable or appropriate for a doctor to have a temper and to throw attitude towards a patient.

Dr.Jarvis is a blessing. He handled my 9 yr old son with ease during our 1st ever visit. My son was complaining of ear pain and has an aversion to visiting hospitals due to past experience but Dr.Jarvis put my son at ease, explained symptoms and causes so well that a 9-year-old could understand and make sense out of things. His diagnosis and prognosis were on point and his treatment worked beautifully for my son. I would like to Thank Dr. Jarvis for his untiring services and dedication.

I was expecting a minor surgery for a tonsil and fish bone stuck in my lower jaw. I had this for about 2 months really didn't pay much attention, as time passed by this began irritating and started causing a nuisance, so I approached Dr . Jarvis Pereira from holy family hospital, who with his high end equipment and well sophisticated technology helped in removing a foreign body from my tonsil this avoiding surgery. This Doctor is highly recommended by me. Holy Family has talented doctors and I guess Dr. Jarvis is one of them. Thanks to dr. Jarvis and his team at holy Family in putting their best efforts to get rid of my tonsil.

If the patient is in pain, they gang up and make fun of the patient, the management is an absolute joke. Thanks be to God we went to Holy Family . We Know Holy family since 1980. My husband (Walter Zebisch) and I were on holiday from Germany. On the 2nd day itself Walter`s heart gave trouble and Dr Brian Pinto, whose clinic we visited asked us to take him immediately to Holy Family. As soon as we reached there they carried out the tests asap. His heart function was 10 to 15 percent. his heart beat was 173. He had a diabetic shock. His sugar was normally around 200 and on that day it was 57. His lungs were full of water.Dr B. Pinto, his assistant, Dr Yadnik and his team worked wonders to stabilize him. WE are very grateful to them all the Drs, and all the staff who looked after my husband in the ICU to their very best. We are also very, very grateful to Mother Joanna who visited when ever she could and gave her heart filled smile. The sisters of the community gave us much moral support. God bless them all

Though the place has a good doctor staff, the service here is pathetic. Registered myself here for my delivery. During the Covid-19 pandemic situation, they make the patients sit outside for hours in the open area in summer. Even the metropolis tech who is supposed to collect the sample for Covid test arrives 4-5 hours late while you being a pregnant patient sit in the open, not just bearing summer heat but also being exposed to the virus with other unknown people while choking yourself with a mask on. Even for a 5 minute follow-up or test they’ll make you wait for hours and even the charges for services are not that feasible as well. With such a huge staff, a hospital like this should be running smoothly. I see more staff members than patients or visitors in the hospital, still the patients are made to wait for so long. What are you doing with such huge staff if this is how you function!! PATHETIC SERVICE. PATHETIC STAFF. PATHETIC MANAGEMENT.

I myself Rakesh Dharod, I had a chest pain and I was admitted on 1st September 2020 in Holy Family Hospital Mumbai. After admitting in ICU I came to know that there were 2 blockages in the nerves near my heart and I went for angioplasty. Dr Ankit Dedhia operated me and the whole treatment was successful and I am feeling mush better now. Thanks to the whole team of Dr Ankit Dedhia for giving me the best treatment and making me feel good. Also a big thanks to the nurses of Holy Family for standing by my side whenever I needed them. Once again thanks to the entire hospital🥰🙏

My dad was admitted for Covid-19 into the ICCU ward. Dr. Jarvis Pereira who treated him was fantastic. At the onset he clearly explained the situation , the course of treatment, possible outcomes and alternatives. His daily updates kept us well informed on my dad's progress and he patiently answered every question I had. I was also impressed with the system in place to keep us relatives updated on our loved one’s condition. The dedicated mobile nos for the covid ICCU ward and the non-ICCU covid ward was a great way to keep in touch with the nurses and the doctors. They would call everyday between 11am & 2pm to update me on my dad’s progress. I would definitely recommend Holy Family Hospital for the treatment of covid positive patients.

Dr Jarvis Checked us and calmed us down by explaining the issue very nicely. Thanks to his advice, we now know what the issue is and will take due steps to improve the condition.

Amazing treatment and care facilities.. I am amazed that even after decades the culture of serving is so prevalent among the staff and authorities. Any to especially commend Mr. Abhishek ( Social Worker) who was so accommodating and helped in every way possible to make our time there blessed. A suggestion would be that going ‘paperless’ would help streamline the wait time.

I was admitted in Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai on 05 Jun 22 for Radiofrequency Ablation by Dr Yash Lokhandwala, DM (Card) of Cardiology Department. The RFA procedure was conducted on me on 06 Jun 22 in hospital's cathlab. The procedure lasted for about 2 hours and the results were astonishing as the improvement in heart condition was felt soon after the procedure was completed. I stayed in the hospital for another 24 hours and was discharged to home on 07 Jun 22. I wish to thank Dr Yash Lokhandwala, who happens to be one of the best in India for treatment of arrhythmia, Dr Harshad Shah and Dr Anshul Patodia who along with their cathlab team performed the procedure on me and brought a lifelong lasting change in my Heart's condition. The Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai is an excellent multi speciality hospital with world class facility. The cost of treatment is reasonable and competitive. Hospital's management is good and proactive. The areas needing improvement is post operative care wherein ward services were observed to be slow and time taking. Overall, a happy and satisfying experience. Thanks Holy Family Hospital Team.

It's easy to acquire the appropriate treatment, but it's much more difficult to get discharged. The TPA and billing divisions require improvement. I've been waiting almost 6 hours to get the patient out of the hospital, but the discharge procedure is still in progress. Even after paying the dues we have been waiting to receive the baby. It's now almost 10 hours struggling to get discharge.

I recently had the opportunity to receive medical care from Dr. Dhiraj Jain and Dr. Hirav Parikh at this Hospital, and the experience was truly exceptional. Both doctors displayed a remarkable level of expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for their patients. Dr. Dhiraj Jain's compassionate and empathetic approach made me feel comfortable and reassured during my visits to the hospital. His attention to detail and his ability to listen attentively to my symptoms and concerns enabled him to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment options. He went above and beyond to ensure that I received the best possible care and that my recovery was smooth and swift. Dr. Hirav Parikh took the time to explain my condition in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that I was well-informed and involved in the decision-making process regarding my health. His dedication and attentiveness were evident throughout my interactions with him, and he made sure to address all my concerns and answer all my questions with patience. The hospital itself is equipped with excellent facilities, creating a conducive environment for healing and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Dhiraj Jain and Dr. Hirav Parikh to anyone in need of medical care. Their expertise, compassion, and genuine concern for their patients' well-being make them outstanding healthcare professionals.

Holy Family Hospital's administration services is very poor. When we wanted to upgrade the room from semi-private to private they took 2 hours for the move. Only on follow up with the supervisor the move was done. On date of discharge, the intimation was given at 2 p.m. however the billing hadn't started till 4:30 p.m. which is too slow. Moreover, this is a huge trouble for the ones opting for cashless insurance as the TPA helpdesk closes at 6:30 p.m. in this case who is going to pay for their delay. I never expected such service from such a renowned hospital.

When kovid 19 knocked at my door ,help arrived in the form of Mr. Amol Borkar,he helped me and my mother get admitted to"Holi Family Hospital" . The moment we arrived there, even before our admission ,our b.p. oxygen saturation, temperature ,chest xray and c.t.scan basic investigatios were taken care of. Good hygiene , nutritious food and never ending supply of hot water helped us in settling down. The twin sharing room on 5 th floor of the hospital gave us much needed medical support in terms of good treatment from great team of doctors ,sisters, dietician ,helpers. Mr.Sanosh Nemane was very helpful staff. Dr.Parag was exceptionally kind and helped in rebuilding the confidence of my 75 year old mother. Director ,Dr.Niraj Uttamani's valuable suggestions came in handy. All in all I salute the entire Holi Family hospital team for giving their best efforts to patients in this pandemic.

The hospital doctors are good and the treatment is done but the gate staff is the most troublesome to keep the single family person doing the run around also outside. The person is already exhausted and stressed. Inspite of giving a pass (which is just one first of all due to Covid) the entrance door staff don't allow you to go inside without making an entry. Then what is the purpose of the pass is it so that we just have to leave the patient unattended? The gate staff needs to be more courteous and understanding especially towards critical ward patients.

Holy Family Hospital founded in 1942, is a private hospital in India. It is located in Bandra, Mumbai on Hill Road. The hospital has 268 beds, and is administered by The Bandra Holy Family Hospital Society, a non-proft charitable trust. Holy Family Hospital is Mumbai's first hospital with a hybrid cath lab and in October 2010, one of the three centres in India with such facilities. The hospital was established by Dr Austin Da Silva as Silverene, a private 10-bed nursing home. In 1953, it was expanded into a small general hospital with 22 beds and given its current name. The administration handed over to the Medical Mission Sisters. The Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate took charge in 1978 and began raising funds for expanding the infrastructure. By 1985, the hospital had 120 beds.

I recently had the worst experience by the registration counter staff. I was not allowed ro meet the doctor even though my health condition was very bad. I shared my feedback on email id but still no response. The hospital inpatient services & the doctors are good but the registration staff is very rude. Sharing herewith co tents of my email shared wirh the hospital for your reference to understand you the situation better. Thanks ****** Dear Sir / Madam, My name is Namita Vaidya & I am regularly taking treatments from your hospital only since last so many years. I also recommend this hospital to my friends & relatives. Today I came to your hospital with a serious complication. I had a very bad cat bite yesterday and the wound is deep and watery. Its swillen as well. I came to your registration counter on the ground floor and asked for the general doctor but I was told that none of the doctor was available and the doctors will be available only after 2 pm. . I showed my swollen foot to them and requested for assistance. I had travelled from Vasai to Bandra only for the right treatment but unfortunately I was treated.very bad. So I retrned back to my office at Dadar. I was asked to visit casualty and they asked me to visit surgeon again I came to the registration counter and I was told that no surgeon is available today. I called at your helpdesk number at 1:30 to check whether any doctor is available, again I got the answer that all appointments are full and I should come tomorrow. I told them that I had come in the Morning so they asked me why dont you take appointment in the morning. But I would like to bring your attention that I have recently joined new job and was not sure if they will allow me to take half day. Thats why I didnt take token in the Morning. We are also working people so your staff also should consider this situation but inspite of that your staff is giving us this treatment. This is for the first time I have this worst experience. Please look into this matter and guide your staff how to talk to the patients.

Very sadly need to inform the emergency ward ...sucks because of Dr Sonali who is young ...however just insensitive towards the patients or twrds the family members who are admitting them due to critical condition. I thought of posting this reason if u admitting someone dear ensure this dr not around. As she will not attend the patient even in the most critical moment. Her inhuman attitude ...ideally a perfect mismatch of her personality with her job profile. Sorry to say but such drs shud not be at the emergency who are just insensitive and impolite and inhuman.

I am accompanying my 86 yr old father.as an attendant. He has to undergo a surgical procedure on 12 dec 23. The 3 way cannola fitted for drawing blood for tests ,just opened at night when he was asleep and he woke up in panic when drenched. I was horrified to see him drenched in blood. Now he has to undergo the procedure next morning, i I don't feel confident of the quality of their staff. The staff instead of being apologetic for leaving the opening insecure when the old patient is sleeping for the night reacted as if it was routine. Please be careful if you have an old patient with 3 way canola fitted.
