This is one of the best institute for engineering education in India. Campus of this institute is serene. I felt so peaceful during my stay. There are many trees within this campus. Beside the campus, lake is there where you can sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. There is one hill in campus on which you can climb to enjoy the breathtaking view from the top. In the morning you will find this place very calm and peaceful. There are plenty of events hosted by this college, and every student can enjoy it. There are plenty of other facilities provided to student.

Remarks Our college management is good, thanks to the college student body that are elected from students and actively take part in all the major decision-making process of our college and hence ensure the best for all the students. Fee Structure And Facilities The fee structure is expensive with average of 2.5 lakhs per annum but we have few rebate for parents with net family income less than 5lpa. Also, we have an alumni association who provide interest free loan, just with a bond that after IIT, then have to contribute the same back to some other student. Placement Wing 10/10 Our placement is the best in the country. We also get internships. Most people score an internship for 2nd year summer and everyone has an internship in third year. Placement is top notch in all the renowned tech companies like Google, uber, microsoft and upcoming startups like Rubrik and Cohesity. Hostel Facilities 7/10 Yes, it's compulsory for everyone. It's included in the fee. Our hostel maintains a good sanity and cleanliness. Untill final year, the rooms are 2 occupancy. Only final year students get single rooms. Apart from that, the hostel have small playing rooms and courts for tennis, volleyball and football. The mess provide decent food though not richness in taste but surely rich in nutrients. Alumni The college network is strong. We can ping any alumni over LinkedIn or Facebook for any query related to their job and work, and they always reply and help us. Also there is a network of mentors that are final year student who try to help freshman and sophomore students in developing contact and adjusting to college curriculum. This culture is good and helps us know our best option and always have people to brainstorm our life plans with. Faculty 10/10 Our college has one of the best faculty in the field who are researchers as well. We can actively take part in the research and contribute too. The best teaching methods are implied and professors try to give the most useful knowledge they can in the limited time they have allocated for the course. Campus Life 9/10 Gender ratio of our college is famously bad. It's around 11 boys : 1 girl in our batch. Though in later years there has been preference for girl student and the ratio has changed too. Our college maintains a rich hostel culture with a yearly general championship amongst hostels which include event from all over sports, dance, music and tech. There are society and club for almost everything. Like chess, literary arts, indian games. The overall culture is rich and accepting for all gender and orientation. The economic status is never something we care for among friends and there is something called wing culture which is like a set of 6-8 rooms that are together in a corridor and there people bond the best and help each other throughout the college. Course Curriculum Overview 10/10 My college's computer science department is really great. They are very flexible among all other Indian college and update the syllabus to make sure you get the latest knowledge and experience. The topics taught in our course make us good in programming and do real coding project in our free time. In the summer, we have internship program which gives us actual office and work experience and also research experience in a foreign universities for the stipulated time if we choose it. Overall the curriculum tries the best to make us a qualified computer science engineer ready to take the upcoming challenges in future. The curriculum is 2 semester a year with assignment and test spread evenly during the semester with idea of continuous evaluation. College Events 9/10 We have many cultural club for each genre like music, dance, art, drama. Apart from this we have 3 major college festivals, mood Indigo for culture, Techfest for Technical advancements and Eureka for Entrepreneurship. They are reno

Established in 1958, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was the first technology institution set up with foreign assistance, with Unesco funds coming directly from the-then Soviet Union. The institutes of technology were designated by parliament as ‘institutes of national importance' in 1961 and have since grown in reputation, with IIT Bombay now regarded as one of the top technical universities in the world. Recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research, the IITB is known for the outstanding calibre of students and has graduated more than 42,000 of India’s top engineers and scientists over the past five decades. As such, the institute is able to attract the very best students from the country for its bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes, as well as recruit internationally respected faculty.

I am very disappointed. One of the best universities in the country and is doesn't provide even "normal" conditions to its students. My friend got a double, very small and extremely dirty so called "room" that is not air conditioned. There is no furniture to put your clothes on, or even space for a wardrobe . He will have to use his suitcase as a closet ... The "room" looks worse than a prison cell. There is no shower available there! He needs to wash himself with a bucket. Terrible ... No words ...

Premier Institute, Nice campus. Visited in the month of January to attend WCDM. Big and nice halls and classrooms. Stayed in a newly built building 'Padam Vihar'. Being new every thing was at its place. Dining place was good, excellent service. Food? It depends on your taste. Nowadays spicy and oily food are the sign of tasty and sumptuous food. What to do? Though my fault, I try to find home-food- taste everywhere, which is not possible.

The well-maintained green spaces provided a refreshing break from the city's hustle and bustle. The abundance of lush greenery within the campus was a delightful sight. The carefully tended lawns, blooming flowerbeds, and tall trees created a serene atmosphere. It was evident that the campus grounds are meticulously looked after, contributing to the overall charm of the place. In summary, I enjoyed my time exploring the greenery at IIT Bombay.

I visited IIT Bombay to attend their cultural fest, and it was an incredible experience. The first thing that struck me was the sheer size of the campus, which is massive and well-organized. The different buildings for different locations were easy to navigate, and I appreciated the convenience of the buses that were available to take us from one point to another. The cultural fest itself was a highlight of my visit. It was necessary to book tickets in advance, but the process was straightforward and well-organized. As a student, I also appreciated the discount that was offered, which made it more affordable for me to attend. The student hostels provided by IIT Bombay were a pleasant surprise. They were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to rest and recharge after a long day of activities. During my visit to IIT Bombay for the cultural fest, I did not have the opportunity to try the food from the fest itself. However, I did try the food available at the canteen, and it was affordable and tasty. The canteen had a variety of dishes on offer, and the prices were reasonable. I appreciated the convenience of being able to grab a quick bite to eat without having to venture off-campus. One of the best things about the cultural fest was the opportunity to socialize and meet new people. The late-night songs and hangouts were a lot of fun, and it was great to see Indian youth enjoying themselves and vibing to the music and entertainment on offer. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to IIT Bombay during their cultural fest. The campus is impressive, the cultural fest is well-organized, and the student hostels and affordable food make it easy to enjoy the event without breaking the bank. Whether you are a student or simply someone interested in Indian youth culture, the cultural fest at IIT Bombay is a must-visit.

Such a delightful place, the campus is so beautiful and ideal for study purposes. Too much of trees in the roadsides make the whole campus very calm and peaceful. The playgrounds are well maintained and world class TT rooms, volleyball courts, badminton courts are there. The central gym is well equipped and the trainers are very much helpful, specially to the newcomers. The classrooms are well managed and have every equipments needed to conduct a lecture of a professor. The foods of in-campus canteens are good and can be ordered online. The student hostels are very much home-alike and well maintained.

The college is located in Powai which is a very posh area in Mumbai. Connectivity is very good if you have to travel anywhere in Mumbai, you can choose affordable locals. But we usually find everything inside the campus itself. The annual fests are, Mood Indigo - which is Asia's largest college cultural fest having a footfall of over 1.5 Lakh. It generally happens in the last week of December when students are having their winter breaks.

IIT Bombay was the second Indian Institutes of Technology to be established in 1958 with assistance from UNESCO and with funds contributed by the Soviet Union. UNESCO agreed to provide equipment and technical experts mainly from the Soviet Union, while the Government of India accepted the responsibility for all other expenses including the cost of the building project and recurring expenses. The site chosen for the institute was Powai with an area of 550 acres (2.2 km2) which was given by the then Bombay State Government. While construction was being completed, the first academic session of the Institute opened on 25 July 1958, in its temporary home at the Synthetic and Art Silk Mills Research Association (SASMIRA) building in Worli with 100 students. These students were selected from over 3,400 applicants for admission to the first year undergraduate engineering programmes of Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Engineering Physics, Energy, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, and MSc Chemistry. One of the main objectives of establishing the institute was to develop facilities for studies in a variety of specialized engineering and technological sciences. The need for establishing adequate facilities for postgraduate studies and research was kept uppermost in mind in the founding years. While the institute was functioning provisionally at Worli, an effort was made to expedite the progress of the building project at its permanent location and Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone of the Institute at Powai on 10 March. In 2018, IIT Bombay was one of the first six institutes to be awarded the Institute of Eminence status. IIT Bombay was founded in 1958.In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as Institutes of National Importance.A committee formed by the Government of India recommended the establishment of four higher institutes of technology to set the direction for the development of technical education in the country in 1946. Excellent overall facilities too. Anyone who comes here will definitely enjoy the serenity and scenic view and atmosphere of this place especially in the heart of Mumbai. Very positive and friendly vibe from the campus. Keep up the excellent work. Some renovation work on the buildings would make it even better...!!!😊

Didn't study there but lived there for a few days. The campus is vast with a lot of greenery. There have been reports of sightings of wild animals too at night but that's because of it's proximity to the forest area. Their cultural, tech and entrepreneurship festivals are amazing and a must visit for people with interests in any of these.

Visited IIT Bombay for the Aavahan 2023. It was an amazing experience to be here for the event. The services provided were average but to be here at IIT Bombay, itself is the big thing for many of us. The campus is spread wide long but an electric bus is available for the transportation.

I visited IIT BOMBAY, and I was impressed by the campus and the facilities. The institute is located in a scenic area near Powai Lake and has a lot of greenery and open spaces. The buildings are well-designed and equipped with modern technology and infrastructure. The faculty and students are friendly and helpful, and there is a vibrant academic and cultural atmosphere. I enjoyed attending some lectures and workshops, and interacting with the researchers and innovators. I would highly recommend IIT Bombay to anyone who wants to pursue higher education or research in engineering, science, or management.

The institute is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research. Reputed for the outstanding calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the institute attracts the best students from the country for its bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes. Research and academic programmes at IIT Bombay are driven by an outstanding faculty, many of whom are reputed for their research contributions internationally.

This institute is the dream of most of the students preparing for the JEE examination, that means more than 10lakh students start their preparation for one of the most competitive exams in this world with an aim of getting into this incredible university. IITB is a great center for learning but most importantly you will be competing with the best minds of india who have battled past jee advanced and have secured the top ranks, IITB CSE branch has the highest cutoff in JEE adv and hence the toughest to get into, Anyone who gets admission will not necessarily have their career secured but will certainly develop the work ethic and discipline required to beat the challenges life has to offer

There are plenty of other facilities provided to student

Situated alongside Powai Lake, one of the most picturesque campuses in the country, stands one of the finest colleges renowned for its excellence in education. The college boasts a beautiful campus adorned with stunning architecture and lush greenery, making it a truly enchanting place to learn and grow. As a testament to its vibrant atmosphere, I had the privilege of attending Techfest 2016, an awe-inspiring event that left a lasting impression on me. The campus truly came alive during the festival, with a plethora of innovative exhibits and captivating performances that showcased the brilliance of both students and professionals. As the sun sets, the campus transforms into a mesmerizing wonderland with its dazzling night lights, enhancing the already breathtaking surroundings. Indeed, this college is a testament to both academic brilliance and natural beauty, providing a remarkable setting for students to embark on their educational journey.
