Among the better beaches of Mumbai. Compared to overhyped Juhu, Versova is in a lot calmer and less crowded area and is cleaner as well

Beautiful beach which reminds you of Goa because of the view of the madh in the distance. It is close to versova metro station and you can reach here by walking in 5-10 minutes. The beach is clean and not crowded most of the time but I guess it gets crowded during evenings or on weekends. Definitely a must visit. The volunteers maintain and clean this beach regularly. Peaceful and calm beach. You can visit this beach with your family and friends. There is also a parking facility at the beach.

Evening is the best time to visit the place. You will witness the beautiful sunset. This is my favourite place to do meditation. Please visit on weekdays before sunset and enjoy the calmness and silence along with the sound of waves.

Nice beach with lots of activity. Have few rocks around for seating. Very crowded on weekends Reasonable eateries available on beach. Make sure when u go do not litter and take your waste along with you and through it in dustbin.

Great place to come to relax.. it's pretty hot during the day, so plan your visit during the evening. It will be crowded during weekends, the crowd tends to lessen as u move away from the entrance. Juhu is popular for lively Juhu Chowpatty Beach, a long stretch where casual cricket matches are played, and beach vendors offer snacks like bhel puri and ice cream. Nearby, chic bars serve everything from local beer to cocktails, while the white marble ISKCON temple serves up vegetarian fare and baked goods. Contemporary and experimental plays take the stage at Prithvi Theatre. I went here during the night ...and still the waves were good and people were enjoying there... it was safe and had plenty of light there.

One of the most Prominent beaches in Mumbai but also more peaceful than others. The best time to visit this place is in the evening right before sunset. There are lots of activities to do here such as Horse riding, horse carts, etc. The water is not suitable for swimming but you can wet your toes at least. There are also many hawker stalls which serve Indian Savoury Snacks to the customers who visit this beach. There's also a parking facility available for vehicles. Just don't take it further into the sands.

Versova Beach, located in the Andheri neighbourhood, is one of Mumbaiโ€™s least frequented and cleanest beaches. Swimming is not allowed because of the occasionally strong currents and high tides. Versova Beach is very active, with kids trying to control the waves, friends taking pictures on the rocks, and vendors selling bhelpuri. It is a little beach that is less crowded and more of an addition to Juhu. With its white and black dry sand and a few rocky outcroppings, this beach is one of Mumbaiโ€™s most picturesque beaches. One of the cleanest beaches with a tranquil atmosphere is thought to be found north of the well-known Juhu Beach.

Versova Beach in Mumbai is a captivating coastal destination that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm. This beach has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, thanks to the efforts of local residents and authorities who have worked tirelessly to clean up and beautify the area. One of the most striking features of Versova Beach is its cleaner and less crowded environment compared to some other Mumbai beaches. The cleanliness drive, spearheaded by activist Afroz Shah, has resulted in a significant reduction in plastic waste and debris, making it a more pleasant place to visit. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. The gentle waves lapping at the shore create a soothing ambiance, ideal for relaxation and reflection. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset, as the view of the sun dipping below the horizon is truly breathtaking. Versova Beach has several stalls and eateries where you can savor local snacks and street food, adding to the overall experience. Additionally, the beach is frequented by fishermen, giving visitors a glimpse into Mumbai's traditional coastal way of life. While Versova Beach may not have the same bustling energy as some other Mumbai beaches, its recent transformation, cleanliness, and tranquil charm make it a must-visit destination for those seeking a more peaceful and environmentally conscious beach experience in the city.

One of the popular beaches in Mumbai. It is centrally located. The beach is quite clean and has a few water sports activities as well. Good location to spend time with family and friends. Many food joints are also available nearby to have a quick bite.

The beach is dirty Because we human did that Otherwise it's beautiful the sound of waves, sunset scene all will touch your soul. If you visit for a while also try to grab some trash and dispose it properly. If we take small small step then one day it will be beautiful as the sound of waves.

As someone coming from Kerala, none of the beaches at Mumbai is anything even remotely close to what we have here. I found Versova beach extremely dirty with litters thrown around the whole place and somewhat emptier than the overcrowded and ugly Juhu beach. Itโ€™s a decent enough place to spend time during sunsets.

Obviously crowded on weekends๐Ÿ˜‰..........weekdays see less traffic comparatively๐Ÿค—. Love the place๐Ÿ˜‡, calming, soothing, but few areas are dirty because of trash floating ๐Ÿ˜ฃ. If you visit don't leave trash there.๐Ÿ˜Š

In middle of the mumbai it's hard to think about a place to relax and find the peace ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ, probably solution is here in versova beach... peaceful and place full of happiness, kids, families and group of youngsters every one in search of good time and to relax their inner sole... rediscover mumbai visit the beaches...

  • 5/5 Andy B. 2 years ago on Google
Comparatively less crowded and clean beach. Occasionally the beach may stink owing to fishing activities, but still a better choice than popular beaches of Mumbai which are crowded and infested with eatery, hawkers, and beggars.
