For my gf’s birthday lunch, our mutual love for Pan Asian cuisine led us to Foo in Powai. The restaurant offered a cozy yet elegant ambiance that transitioned from a cheerful daytime mood to an enchanting evening setting. To start, we took the waiter's recommendation for a fruity and refreshing cocktail, reminiscent of a beachside sip. Our appetizers kicked off with the Peruvian lobster roll sushi, a delightful 10/10. Each bite of the sushi offered a splendid and satisfying experience. The Chilly Duck Dumpling followed suit with a burst of flavors and tenderness that left a lasting impression, earning it a 9.5/10. The Mongolian chicken, featuring crispy fried chicken cubes, was pleasing, albeit not that great in taste. Moving to the main course, we opted for the Truffle and Edamame garlic fried rice paired with Sliced Chicken Foo Chilly Oil Gravy. The rice carried a distinct and pleasing garlic flavor, rating a 7.5/10 on its own. However, the accompanying gravy felt basic, and the chicken lacked flavor, slightly detracting from the rice. The gravy scored a 6.5/10. In all, the lunch date was heartwarming and delightful, greatly enhanced by the inviting ambiance. The attentive and cooperative staff especially Roshan our waiter, added to the experience. Without a doubt, Foo stands out as one of Mumbai's finest Pan Asian dining establishments.

Came here with a reservation on a weekday for lunch, thought the restaurant wasn’t crowded. We were served by Zubair From the dim sum section we ordered, * Charcoal Har-Gow, Gold dust ( 3 pieces in 1 portion) :5/5 - 475 Rupees. Charcoal black coated dim sums stroked with golden star dust. They were absolutely lip smacking, highly recommend them. * Foo Bao (3 pieces in 1 portion) : 5/5 - 450 Rupees. Presented in a closed bao, which had a crispy covering on the outside. The sauce given with it made it a great combination. Would recommend it too, it’s not spicy though! From the Big plates, we ordered * Pan fried John Dory, Spicy Miso: 4/5 - 650 rupees. Was good in taste and went well with the noodles. John Dory is an Japanese fish! * Foo yellow curry chicken : 5/5 - 595 rupees. Thai based coconut curry, was flavorful and delicious. From rice and noodles * Foo blue butter Japanese fried rice 5/5. A different concept of blue rice and it is actually the color of a blue flower that gives it the color of blue rice. * Foo Hakka noodles - 5/5. They were noodles tossed with vegetables and soy sauce. Presentation of the food was sleek and elegant. Washroom was clean and spacious Loved the Décor and lighting. Staff was omnipresent and kind, had good food recommendations as well.

Lovely experience trying first time - Blue Rice with Thai Curry. They have dishes with different levels of Spicy - Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 being the highest. Tried the spicy level 4 Chicken Chilly 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, but didn't felt that at all.. If you love spicy food, you gonna like it. Got a complementary Lemonade with the dish too. Ambiance is awesome, good time.

Foo is an Asian & japenese cuisine specialised restaurant. They have absolutely alluring ambience and food. Their sushi’s are truly one of a kind. They have so much variety in their menu that you just can’t get enough of it. We tried some of their signature sushi’s like- •Foo Yam Bean Uramaki •California Roll •Peruvian lobster roll All of it was so delicious and such great flavour in it. The presentation was like indeeed wonderful! We also had the chicken gyoza & charcoal har-gow , gold dust. It was something which I have never tried before.. I was truly awestruck! It’s absolutely a highly recommended place to visit. We also tried the Belgian pork ribs in chilly bean sauce which was so tender and tasted super fresh. In cocktails, We had the foo Bellini and foo queen. It was so attractive and had a perfect balance with alcohol. The service was really quick and very kind & Co-operative staff . Best wishes to Team Foo Powai.

tried asian food for the first time and this place made it a very memorable experience. foo has a carefully curated menu and has a lot to choose from. the drinks are amazing too. the ambience is very chill and amazing. Although did encounter a little issue during the dining experience. they have a two hour reservation slot and after two hours, you will be asked to leave, which is not cool. The food was delicious and so was the entire experience. Must visit asian place in town

Foo Powai. Food is very good, tasty. Service is also very good and quick. I personally do not like Sushi but I loved the taste of Sushi we had in Foo, especially Charcoal Tempura veg sushi. We also tried blue rice and yellow curry, delicious!! Lotus stem chips were show’s topper for me, just loved it!! We found it a bit overpriced, but overall food, taste and ambiance wise it is excellent.

Went for a date night to Foo Powai and was pleasantly surprised by the Ambience and hospitality. What to eat: Sushi and Dumplings were mouth watering. Order the Dark chocolate dessert if you like Dark chocolate- it was super good! Portion sizes are small. Hands down one of the best Asian food places in Mumbai! Service: The dishes arrived fairly quickly and the servers were so attentive! Table booking: Would recommend a table booking (at least on a weekend) since it gets full. How much you’ll pay: We paid about 5k for a meal including drinks and desserts. We ordered a LOT though. Plus portion sizes are small so you’ll end up ordering more dishes. I would go back to Foo Powai any day for a meal. The staff is very very attentive but not interfering- makes your dining experience great!

Our visit to Foo Powai, even with a Zomato reservation, led to a 20-minute wait, suggesting advanced table booking. The ambiance exuded beauty and a vibrant atmosphere. Our culinary choices included the flavorful Shisoto Charcoal Tempura Uramaki Sushi, the delightful Foo Crispy Spinach Cheung Fun, the savory Foo Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice, and refreshing beverages such as The Asian ABC and Taro Boba Tea – all earning positive reviews. Notably, their desserts are a highlight and highly recommended. In summary, a delightful dining experience with exceptional food 👌🏻😍

The trend of Asian food has become quite a rage, both for its immense versatility and myriad range of flavours. With the growing popularity, restaurants and cafes across are trying their best to experiment with Asian flavours. And this restaurant is up to mark for it's authenticity. I loved the food as well as the ambience. An extra rating for the staff, their politeness, their way of taking extra care of the customers needs and ofc for explaining about anything that was asked for. The supremely premium menu gives you some exciting menu offering you a range of Non Vegetarian dishes, Vegetarian Dishes & yes Jain options are also available. The impeccable ambience to the astounding feels of this place, giving you a perfect dine-in experience. This restaurant is a premium visit with your loved ones, family friends feel the personalised service at every table makes the place a quintessential one. And those cute ginger and coconut stuff given as you leave was the sweetest gesture of all. Absolutely loved every bit of the experience ❤️

We were little sceptical whether we will get good vegetarian food or not..buy we loved the food. We tried Charcol uramaki Sushi, plant protein Dumplings, fried crisy Lotus root, Blue fried rice, waterchestnut yellow curry. These were good. Two items we didn't like udon soup and Moshi Moshi virgin mocktail. Not a huge restaurant but Ambience is good. We tried Mount Foji in dessert which was amazing..

Foo is home to one of my favourite Baos in town (and of course, them sauces). The Sushi and dumplings are as authentic as one could get and the rice beer was a pleasant surprise. But the thing that makes me give this place a 5-star is the sheer consistency in every dish on the menu, time and again.

I have always been a great fan of Pan asian food served in foo. Let me tell you, foo is a very good place for a dinner date as its ambiance is amazing. Coming to the beverages, this time i tried Taro boba tea which was yummy. Now in food i tried quite a lot of varieties. In short i would highly recommend their Sushis and Dimsums especially Edamame truffle and Cottage cheese, they are the best and my favourite too. I love their thin crispy Honey chilly lotus stem. Blue pea rice and Silken tofu mains are my favourite here so cant miss that. Coming to the desserts, can't differentiate which one is good as all their desserts are amazing specially the sesamic cheesecake. Overall I loved it.

One of the best Asian fine-dining spots in powai!! You should put @foo on your Must visit list !! They’ve got authentic Pan Asian food with variety of Jain and vegan options .🥢🍣 The dimsums and sushis here are too good and made with perfection. Spicy miso broccoli is a must try !! Also do try their Japanese curries and a variety of rices and noodles !! We also tried their magnificent dessert called Mount Fuji, it was huge and absolutely yum 🤤 !! Loved their hospitality and staff ! Highly recommended

Food: 7/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Value for Money: 7/10 Weekends have been all about gallivanting in search of something new and exciting & this experience was no less. My cravings to try something Asian brought me to this quaint space in Powai popularly known as Foo. In the frame, we’ve got, 1. Spicy Seafood Peking Dumpling – A pleasant mélange of assorted seafood encased in a carefully prepared Dumpling wrapper. Is it spicy? The answer is No because you would expect some form of heat tingling your tastebuds. But it sure is delicious. The umami mouthfeel seafood paired with the array of dipping sauces is something you just can’t get over. 2. Nikkei Prawn Tempura Uramaki – A play on textures is what was evident on this plate. However, any sushi connoisseur would easily figure out that the rice lacked balance between the sweet, salty, and sour and tasted a touch bland. The tempura prawns were spot on. Light, Crispy, and tasted Ocean on a plate. They paired this with your usual pickled ginger and wasabi but not so usual chimichurri mayonnaise and coriander oil which was a pleasant twist on a Japanese classic. 3. Spicy Hunan Baby Chilly Potatoes – Morish is the word I’d use for this beauty. Crispy on the outside, soft, and fluffy on the inside. These babies were an absolute hit. The balance of the sweet and spicy with the textural elements of sesame seeds & scallions. The plate was wiped off in minutes. 4. Red Snapper, Oyster Sauce, King Chilly – Unfortunately, this was once of my least favorite dishes. The fish tasted bland, the broth felt gluggy, and it wasn’t enjoyable to say the least. Maybe this is a dish the team can work on getting better. 5. Assorted Mushroom in Veg Oyster Sauce – Mushroom Meat. Patato Potato. I don’t think one can ever go wrong with the shrooms. They’re literally THE FLAVOR BOMBS and they were treated no less in this dish too. The mushrooms were the star of the bowl and the broth accompanying it just elevated the dish to the ultimate food heavens. It was the perfect big plate for our rice. 6. Foo Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice – Art in a bowl. This plate is a masterpiece on its own. The bright blue color in the rice is obtained from the Butterfly Blue Pea flower also known as “Asian Pigeonwings” and it’s tossed with Baby corn and your usual fried rice elements making it the perfect accompaniment to your big plates. 7. Foo Black Marble Sesame Cheesecake – 3 WORDS. OH MY GOD. This dessert was suggested by the bartender Romario and he quoted that I wouldn’t regret it and kid you not I didn’t. This has been the best cheesecake I have tried. Just the right amount of sweet to end this beautiful meal. The Bar menu is exciting. The twist of classics with an Asian spin sure tickled our tastebuds. Romario the Cute Bartender I quote ensured we were suited to the best cocktails in his menu and the craftsmanship was beautiful. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place if you want are in the mood for an Asian Oriental experience. Picture Credits - Dipak Vishwakarma Instagram - @trending_twenty

If you are fan of authentic Asian cuisine then you will love it! We tried sushi, taco, blue rice and Hakka noodles. The taste is fantastic. It is a bit heavy on the pocket but if you don't think it as a problem then for sure give it a visit! 😀 It is always full, so make sure to book a table ahead of time.

If you are looking for fabulous meal of Asian flavours then step in Foo Asian Taps. The flavour and ambience of the casual dining restaurant is full of life. Foo has wowed critics and guest with its approach to superbly curated menu Asian food and well crafted drinks. Its newest outlet in Powai takes things up a notch. This restaurant has cosy nooks and dim lighting that give Foo an intimate feel. The litt bar with a bartender rattling and shaking drinks is no less than entertaining. And the service is on point. Foo offers a great and unique experience of Asian cuisine and well crafted cocktails. We started with Super Foo Salad which was super healthy which consist of Kale & Avocado, Edamame Quinoa, Goji Berries, Yazu Misu Sauce just awesome! Crystal clear vegetable Dimsum is also a winner. Filled with delicious vegetables the crunch was super amazing. Foo Yam Bean Uramaki and Shisoto Charcoal Tempura Uramaki we highly recommend you to try this its fab! Hazelnut Dome dessert with creamy hazelnut and chocolate moouse served with a side of vanilla ice-cream. Staff is courteous and super friendly and serves the guests with lot of affection. While we have never been to this place, tried home delivery, and the experience was awesome! Each dish has a distinct personality.! Its a visual treat and the taste takes it to the next level... be it Wild Salmon Uramaki, Corn Asparagus Dumplings, Wasabi Truffle Edmame Dumplings, Japanese Fried Blue Rice, Oyster King Chilly Red Snapper, Soft Shell Crab Shushi or the Black Marble Sesame Cheesecake- all lived up to our expectations, and more! A bit steep on the wallet but i guess if one wants quality... its never cheap!

Celebrating the modern Asian flavours of food at Powai, Foo has always managed to conquer the pan Asian cuisine at its best, well now one can visit Foo at Powai too. Their outlet in Powai is simply outstanding. Right from their food to their hospitality, certainly a worth a visit restaurant. I went there on a weekend with couple of friends, and I have to give my honest opinion about this place. Honestly this place is a “VIBE” I am in love with the interiors of this place. My Server, was really acknowledging and warm towards us, infact the entire team was really good. The overwhelming experience here is certainly going to bring me back here again. Coming to their food, well there is no second thought about their food. One of the finest places to introduce Pan Asian and make Mumbaikars love with Sushi and Dimsum. Their impressive menu will make u want to try every dish there and yes each and every dish is worth a try, not only the Food but also their range of cocktails are spectacular. The Japanese class is how I would like to define this place. If in Foo do try their Sushis, Dimsums, Blue Rice ( the best seller) and the awesome pan fried noodles. Also you have their amazing staff who will guide you to order the best from your menu according to your taste and preferences. Highly recommended

We had a six-course meal at Foo and had a wonderful experience. It has some beautiful scenery around and the place also has a wonderful interior. Perfect place for a date or a dinner with your family. We take you through everything we had there. Starting off with some delicious salads and Foo's special hot and sour soup, we moved to the starters! Charcoal Har Gow, Gold Dust Charcoal layered dumplings consisting of prawns filling which are relishing at every bite. Sirarcha Chicken Dumpling 🥟 The all-time favourite Sirarcha Chicken stuffed into dumplings that are yummy from the word go. You're going to absolutely love the taste. SUSHI ROLLS NIKKEI PRAWN TEMPURA URAMAKI - A sushi roll with the filling of the ever delicious prawn tempura, avocado, coriander oil and chimichuri mayo 😍 CALIFORNIAN ROLL - A sushi made of crab meat, tobiko, avocado and cucumber. Seems delish. 😋 Foo Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice The dyeing of this Japanese rice into blue, makes it deliciously buttery and garlicky. These flavours are a result of the blue which are from very specific flowers. Foo Hakka Noodles The combination of stir fried noodles, veggies and sauce is so flavoursome, delicious and have a crunch that make you crave for more. Yellow Chicken Curry The yellowish chicken curry consists of the choiciest of the spices that gives you a familiar taste. Red Snapper, Oyster sauce, Chicken Chilli This is the gravy that you should opt for when having blue butter fried rice and hakka noodles. Totally wholesome and tasty combination. DESSERTS Foo Black Marble Sesame Cheese Cake The taste of sesame, the softness of the cheesecake alongside the hard crust and topped with ice-cream makes this a wonderful combination. Snickerz (Recommended) A cake layered completely with snickers that tastes heavenly especially when you mix it with ice-cream. Just top-notch flavour and a perfect ending to a brilliant meal. Can't wait to visit Foo again!

Yes, its @foomumbai Coming to my order which was: Nikkie prawn tempura urumaki sushi- Was a 💯 on 💯. Truffle Chicken and Prawn Siu Mai Dimsums were out of the world. Must try! Foo Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice with Foo Yellow curry was an excellent combination to fill my tummy (burppppppp) The staff was quite helpful to suggest their bestsellers. Do give this place a try for any casual dinner party or just when you crave some 🍣 🍱🥢 🥟🍝🫕🍲 I am getting you weekend ready!!

Best Pan Asian Set Menu we have ever had, that too unlimited. The salads, Sushis and Dimsums were just sheer excellent. Charcoal Prawn Hargao needs special mention and the Prawn Tempura Sushi. In the small plates, the Tenderloin dish needs special mention. For large plates, Foo special Blue Japanese Fries Rice with Chicken Yellow Curry was just awesome. The two desserts, Cheasecake and Snikerz, served with a scoop of icecream was just out of the world. Overall, this restaurant located on top of s hillock in Powai is worth visiting. Rs. 1400/- per person for this unlimited set meal with such a wide variety is definitely worth it. For us, a memorable lunch beyond doubt.

We had the Sunday brunch here. Loved the food, enjoyed the music, elated with the friendly staff. We sat at the bar as we didn't book a table before going. But have to say, that was the best part. The bartenders recommended the popular dishes from the menu and we were delighted. Brilliant Sunday brunch. Do book your table in advance.

I recently dined at FooPowai and was impressed by the diverse and flavorful dishes on the menu. The flavors were well balanced and authentic, highlighting the unique taste and ingredients of various Asian cuisines. The sushi was particularly noteworthy, with fresh fish and expertly crafted rolls. The stir fry dishes were also delicious, with a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend this Pan Asian restaurant for anyone looking to try a variety of delicious Asian dishes.

Best Japanese, Chinese and Pan Asian food I have ever had (which was also suprisingly, budget friendly). The food was tasty and fresh. Dishes I had 1. Nikkei prawn sushi 2. Crispy tofu sweet chilly (best tangy thing we had) 3. Crystal dim sum 4. Lu yu ban flat noodles And 4 more dishes I don't remember the name now 😂 But, the service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. Ambience was top notch as well. Although it does seems costly, but it's really worth it. Had 7 to 8 dishes with drinks for ₹3840/- Best thing I loved is that they ask about any allergies or side effects we have due to any ingredients and accordingly they'll make the dish.

Unimpressed. It's a designer Asian cuisine restaurant. They have a set meal option. Their foo brew is passable. Blue rice served to us looked stale. Usually this is a semi glutinous rice, but wasn't sticky at all ! Noodles were quite ordinary in taste. Their dessert was good. One of them is actually a snickers bar cut in pieces.

We loved everything about this place. The ambience, hospitality and the food..top notch. Mr Shadab catered to each of our specifications even regarding Jain food. He explained to us the different types of menus they have and their speciality. Here is what we ordered and liked all of it alot- Set Menu (only weekdays lunch)- Som Tum Salad Foo Yellow Curry with water chestnut and broccoli Blue butter Japanese fried rice Black marble sesame cheesecake Al La Carte Farm Vegetable Gyoza Hazelnut Dome La Yu Ban Mein Noodles (this was a highly recommended dish in the reviews but was a little less flavourful compared to other dishes) In the end they gave us two small packets containing ginger chips to use as pallate cleanser.

Foo Hiranandani Powai has an excellent ambiance. Service is very courteous and polite. Food is fresh. Sushi were tasty with little crispy feel. Too expensive for only 4 small pieces. Dumplings Dimsum were hot steamy soft. Green and yellow Thai curry were fresh and smooth. Not served with rice, so order separate. Rice and purple rice were tasty. Fan fried noodles were too slimy. Texture not so appealing. We ordered two glasses of the same mocha mocktail. One had 50% block ice, the other had 80%. That's inconsistent service and way too much ice. Pickles sauces are amazing. Very rich taste.

If you wanna taste a good Chinese foo powai is best. Hakka noodles are awesome, must try. Foo blue butter japanese fried rice is also delicious. Foo chilly chicke is ok (foe me), however other might love it. The Quantity of chilly chicken is also less, however quantity of noodles and rice are good. A little over priced from my point but food is delicious.

The food was delicious moreish , presentation was beautiful. The cuisine featured at Foo Mumbai is “Nikkei” which is a blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. The word “Nikkei” refers to the descendants of Japanese people living in different parts of the world outside Japan. The food therefore often contain Peruvian ingredients like Aji , corn ,potatoes ,spiced with Aji Amarillo peppers apart from the umami flavors imparted by Japanese Miso, wasabi, rice vinegar, soy etc.

FOO never disappoints.. I used to frequent the one in Lower Parel and was super happy when it opened close to home. The quality of food is always so mesmerizing. Great things do come in small sizes. :P My favourites are the Chicken Gyoza, Blue Butter rice and oh .. the salmon n tuna Sushi... . One more Pan Asian Restaurant in similar lines with Yauatcha, Chin Chin Chu, Sesami- specialities being Sushi Uramaki Dimsums etc... As a family we enjoy Asian food and are always looking forward to Dimsums sushis and the likes. While the food was not bad we had a “not so goodexperience with a staff who was attending our table(guess it was our bad luck). This over enthusiastic person spoke with full confidence and forward the cocktail menu and gave us some choices and also tried to override my choice by replacing the gin of a premium quality. After finalising my choice I was told that they wouldn’t serve cocktails as it was a dry day! Which was understandable but my question was shouldn’t the staff be made aware of this?? We selected the Blue Butter Japanese rice and we asked the person whether two portions would work out for 3 hungry adults? His response was that we go for 1 portion as we already had starters. Guess he didn’t realise that we had good appetite. Anyways since we were not too confident of his advice we asked him the time that would be taken to get plain steamed rice in case we felt that the blue rice was not sufficient. He said 7 mins and we were ok with that. The blue rice did fall short between the 3 of us and we had to ordered the plain steamed rice as expected . The black marble sesame cheesecake was finalised for dessert. I asked them very clearly whether it was a baked or non baked cheese cake. We were told that it’s Baked but when the Cheesecake arrived it appeared to be the non baked version which I do not like. The staff simply apologised saying that he was new and this would never happen. Foo management you peopl need to train your staff and let them know that if they’re not sure of something they should atleast consult a person in authority and then give the correct information to the customer.

Ordered different dishes at home twice and left disappointed with the taste and quantity. Nothing special.

One of the best pan Asian places I have been to. The blue rice and charcoal sushi is worth trying.. Spicy edamame is good as well. Also try Japanese rice beer along with it.

Loved the wait at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly! They were conversational, shared tasters, explained the process of some special drinks.. It was a amazing experience. The food was great, so was the presentation. A great place for trying sushi, try their special cocktails and overall, take their recommendations. Note: There is wait time during peak hours, cause they don't hurry the experience. It's worth the wait, but would recommend booking reservation if possible.

A wonderfully experimental take on asian cuisine. The bao was heavenly and the soft shell crab sushi is also a must have. The drinks are exceptional too.

The quality of food offered is way up above the rest. The staff is very friendly too. We went there for a lunch. The ambience of the hotel is really good.

Ambience is good. Sushi and Dimsums were tasty. Mocktail and noodles weren’t made nicely. It is overpriced and over hyped.
