Beware! I recently visited the shop to buy a turtle tank and UV light bulb and few other things. The shop is quite big and the staff was helpful until we realized they cheated us. My friend and I picked up the stuff we required and were getting the turtle tank (Rs. 850), fish bowl (Rs. 150) & a local UV light bulb (Rs. 360) billed at the counter. We were busy talking and simply paid by card. As we got out of the shop I noticed the bill and realized the shop staff had charged us Rs. 1850 for the local UV light bulb!!!!! I checked the box of the bulb and saw there was a handwritten sticker of Rs. 1850 pasted over another sticker of Rs. 360!!!! Immediately I went back into the shop and questioned them. I showed them how they are cheating us. The staff started being adamant of the price. I even showed them the price of the same bulb on Amazon (Rs. 307) then. The girl sitting at the billing counter made some calls to whoever in the office and said they can refund the money after deducting Rs. 50!!!! After being cheated and looking at their arrogance, I wasn't going to pay them even a rupee extra! I pushed back and got the entire refund! Please be cautious and check the bill and pricing properly. There was no price sticker on the turtle tank.....I won't be surprised if they over charged me for that as well!!!! 🙄

Utekar Fisheries is one of the most professionally managed Fish Strore in Mumbai... it is located in Borivli West on western suburb... variety of fishes, tanks, customised fresh water/ salt water tanks, AMC for the maintainence of tanks... if you have budget and desire, they have solution to address your budget ... you even get birds and exotic fishes for the fish tanks...

During my initial visits to Utekar Fisheries, I had wonderful experiences and even gave them a 5-star rating (which is mentioned below). However, my recent encounter was disappointing. I purchased guppies and neon Tetras, but the handling of the fish was careless, resulting in damage to a guppy's fin. Sadly, the fish didn't survive, and I lost several neon Tetras too. The staff assured me the Tetras were fine due to lack of plants, but they were clearly unwell and looking dull. I was overcharged by 90 bucks as a miscommunication, and although they offered a replacement as a guppy, the losses were disheartening. Unfortunately, the helpful staff member with curly hair was absent during my latest visit. I sincerely hope that Utekar Fisheries takes steps to address these issues and ensures better experiences for their customers. Review of my 1st visit: I had a fantastic experience at Utekar Fisheries, one of the top aquarium stores in Mumbai. The staff there provided excellent guidance without any pressure to buy unnecessary items. Their knowledge and expertise were truly impressive. The collection of fishes and plants was satisfactory, and everything looked healthy and well-maintained. What stood out was that despite their professionalism, the prices at Utekar Fisheries were fair and competitive with the market rates. I highly recommend this store to anyone in search of a trustworthy and reliable aquarium supplier.

Had heard a lot about this. But no much variety fishes.. might be due to the covid situation no stock available currently. But even the staff was uninterested to attend.

I visited this place with lot of expectations but was disappointed. My reason for disappointment being that I did not find many varieties of fish to buy. The place is quite big and has excellent varieties of accessories for building ann aquarium. I really liked the varieties of tanks they had and the accessories that they offer. I do not know if this is the case always may be they do have varieties of fish too but on the day of my visit i mostly noticed sparse fishes in tanks.

Love this place! They have lots of varieties and the prices are reasonable. I go there atleast once a month 😂 I've bought everything for my aquascape from here and I also rescued the poor grey Persian cat who was locked in that cage for months.

This was my favourite place for buying aquarium and fishes.. I have purchased aquarium worth 35000 from here few years ago.... I visited this place to get a new one but the staff were least intrested in showing aquariums what they even had in display... Earlier staff were soo much better....

Huge Place with multiple aquariums which help you to take decisions while setting up your aquarium. 4. Irrelevant cost....unjustifiable....it is as if they wake up each morning and just go on tagging....iska 1 lakh laga do uska 2 lakh... i would suggest, do a complete research of the thing that u need...i am sure you will find the same product at less than half the rate outside....even their executives know that the products are too overpriced...and the justification you get is ask the owner of the shop.....just because they have a huge shop and a big name....it does not justify there high cost...they are killing the aquarium hobby....

Utekar fisheries is good, variety of fishes and equipments for tanks but no proper guidance to first time buyers, also you're not sure if they're charging reasonably good as they have stopped providing bills for the purchases.

Its very nice aquarium. 2 stars deducted for fire norms and NBC norms for disables and/or pregnant woman. Staff is fine, not much helpful and freindly till you visit the place frequently or bombard them with questions. Collection of fishes and all the set ups is awesome. You will get to adapt a pet here with all vaccines and veternity assistance and pet foods. No dedicated parking but you can park in public parking at foit path.

Very knowledgeable, have A-Z info on aquarium maintainance and fishes, patient and explain alot. Healthy looking fish in clean water as well, just was a little dissapointed that alot of types of commonly found tetra fish were missing which i found at local stores instead.

My review for this shop remains the same as the previous years. I never got what I want. I have visited them thrice before today asking for Shrimps. They always say on this day next week, shrimps will be available. And on that day ,either they say it is out of stock or unavailable. And today no one even bothered to address the issue even after I told them that I am visiting for the 3rd time as per informed by your staff. I don't know why this behaviour is practised by them. At the end it is just a big shop with no customer handling ability

Very good and massive place for aquarium lovers. They have wide range of fishes as well as aquarium accessories.

Overall Utekar Fisheries is good and their staff is also very polite. What i don't like about them is their commitment. They take money for a tank AMC and then don't deliver for weeks. Most of the times I have to keep following up for weeks, for example this time I had to follow up for 3 weeks and still no one has come for AMC and tank remains uncleaned. Won't recommend them for home and corporate AMC as their service commitment levels are low.
