We took two tours with Mumbai Magic - Historic Fort District and Sanjay Gandhi National Park / Kanheri Caves. Both trips were wonderful. We learned a lot about the architecture and history of old Bombay on the first tour. Our guide, Ms. Pankaja, waited almost an hour when our taxi became lost. We still had a very good tour. Our guide for the National Park trip had a master's degree in botany. He knew so much and was a very good teacher. Best day of my trip so far.

Today I joined a group for the Dharavi Slum Tour. Our guide was Varsha. She is also living in Dharavi and knows everything about it, couldn’t get anything better. She explained everything really well, answered all our questions and was always patient and kind if we wanted to take some pictures. Her English is perfect. Before I explored Dharavi by my own which was also good and amazing but you don’t get all this information so I decided to go for it. Kind regards, Roman

We booked 2 birding tours through Mumbai Magic and were very pleased with our experience. Our guide Vaibhav Haldipur was knowledgeable and personable. The first day we went to Sanjay Gandhi National Park and the second day to Karnala Bird Sanctuary. With our guide's assistance we sighted 59 birds - 24 were additional "lifers" for us from India - especially appreciated since we had already seen so many new "lifers" on 3 birding tours earlier during our India stay. We highly recommend Mumbai Magic Tours and Vaibhav Haldipur as a guide, and thank you Deepa & Parveen!

Excellent tour with Parveen as our guide. Highly recommend as a nice way to step away from the other tourists and experience a side of Mumbai you wouldn’t normally see on your own. Loved the snacks and the many photos she took of us!

High quality experience from booking all the way through to the tour. Even though we booked a bit last minute, the Mumbai Magic team was super accommodating, helping us customize the perfect tour. We spent an amazing day touring Mumbai with our knowledgeable guide, Sudha, and It was entertaining and educational. I would highly recommend any of the offerings from Mumbai Magic!

I had an amazing experience with this tour. My guide was Divya and the authenticity and insights I received during the entire tour I have never experienced before. She is absolutely best in what she does, gave a loooooot of insights about the life outside of the buildings we saw and strongly recommend her to anyone wanting to get a true experience of what Mumbai is like.

We took the Heritage walk tour through Mumbai Magic Tours and we had a very good experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and her language was really good too. She took time explaining each heritage site, went over some history and patiently answered all our questions. Her voice was very soft so we had to listen very carefully to hear her though. Overall, I recommend this company for this tour!

Truly wonderful experience with dozens of photos and even more stories to tell. I hired the Essential Mumbai and the super interesting Dharavi tours. My friends in Mumbai were amazed at what I saw and did all in one day...many things they've never even done. And I was asked, "you really rode the local train?" More than that, thanks to Mumbai Magic, for a day I WAS a local!

We did the Mumbai Local tour with Parveen who was knowledgeable and fun to be with. A great way to get a feel of life in Mumbai in a short time and learn about some of its history from a local. Highlights were the visit to Gandhi’s residence with its documentary evidence of his life, the walk through the colourful vegetable bazaar, the train ride to see the amazing outdoor laundry and the chance to sample some of the delicious street food at Swati’s Snacks. Would definitely recommend and would love to do the Spirit of Dharavi tour another time.

My mother and I had an amazing time with Shyamala at the block printing workshop. She made us very welcome in her home and explained the history and art of block printing, then after a bit of practice we were able to print our own shawls. This was a perfect ending to a wonderful trip to India and we're really grateful to Mumbai Magic for making sure that we had a great day, from pick-up at our hotel to a wonderful day-long workshop. Highly highly recommend!

I have ordered quite a few things from the Magic Room - saree, home decor, kaftans, dresses! Each experience has been fabulous. What they are short on tech, they more than overcome in service. Excellent experience every time. I highly recommend.

We saw a Dharavi so different from what's portrayed in movies or social media Or even by word of mouth. Its industries - recycle, leather, garment, pottery, the markets, the residential areas, the locals. Actually walked through different lanes and streets which may be normally unfamiliar to outside guides or curious tourists. The beauty of this tour was that, our guide was a student who actually lives in Dharavi. His tour was therefore not a mechanical and a rote commentary but a narration filled with emotion and something that was from the heart, of a place he has lived and grown up in. His keenness to portray the real Dharavi, the sincerity with which he took us through the various aspects of the tour and the immense knowledge with which he patiently paused the tour and answered every question that me Or my French friend asked him, were commendable. We came out with an enriched and enlightened mind, after having seen and experienced, albeit for couple of hours, what the locals live through day after day. We are immensely grateful to Mumbai Magic and to our guide Waris for making this day so memorable and delightful. It was a well curated tour as it was amazing how much they packed in a 2 -2. 5 hours tour time. Thank you. We will definitely be recommending this tour and this guide to our friends, domestic or overseas. More than foreigners it is so important that we Indians learn about this significant part of our population and clear misconceptions or preconceived notions, if any. Thank you again.

We did the Elephanta Island and Mumbai Local tours. Both were excellent, with guides who were both friendly and knowledgeable. On the island we got way more from our trip than if we'd just been reading a guide book, because there are so many details to take in with the statues in the caves. On the local tour a highlight was seeing the Dhobi ghat, although just talking to a local person as we went round was really great too!

Hello Mumbai Magic Tours, I wanted to share with you that I had a wonderful afternoon with Sudha yesterday. What a professional, knowledgeable, charming and pleasant person she is. I really appreciated her ability to put Indian culture and context into the history we discussed of the places we visited. She is truly gifted at what she does and is a wonderful asset to Mumbai Magic. With this being my first time to Mumbai, I cannot think of a better tour experience than the one I had with Sudha and your company. Best regards, Richard

TOUR WITH SAM & SAHIL: My husband and I were visiting Mumbai for 3 days. We decided to do this tour on day 2. Definitely the best decision we made and we both HIGHLY recommend ! It was so high yield and we learned so much about the city that we could have never learned on our own/ by reading online guides (both important history and relevant contemporary social aspects of the city). If you book - ask for SAM & SAHIL to be your tour guides. They were so timely, funny, kinda and extremely knowledgeable about the city of Mumbai!

We enjoyed a fabulous Jewish Heritage Tour of Mumbai with guide Ms Freni. She took us to wonderful places to see all the main sites in Mumbai. We also took tours with Magic Tours in Cochin, Mangalore and Goa which were equally good. Highly recommended.

Thank you for a wonderful day in Mumbai with Magic Mumbai Tours. Mujaffaar was really the highlight in the Dharavi slum tour. Thanks also for meeting us and looking after our luggage for the day. The city tour was also well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and lovely. The traffic was really crazy!! Thanks from all of us again

Me and my family (10 people) did a 2 day tour in Mumbai and it was great! First day we did Elephants Island and Causeway and in the second mumbai's must see's and it was totally worth it. All the preparation arrengements through email were quick and easy, the organization also went perfect, always on time, with nice mini bus, and very good drivers that were always near to pick us up, even in places with heavy traffic. The guides Naina (elephanta) and Sudha (mumbai's must sees), were outstanding, very well prepared and willing to show us their city and explaining everything in detail. Always available to answer our questions and never in a rush so we could take the time we wanted whether shopping, taking photos or stopping for a beer. We enjoyed a lot and defenetly made our experience in India much richer!

My friend Janice and I did the walking tour of Dharavi with Furkan, an incredibly pleasant young man from Dharavi. We had been very apprehensive about doing a 'slum tour' (I now find it offensive and disrespectful to refer to Dharavi as a slum) but I am very glad that we did. I am not going to give you any spoilers by telling you about my experience on this walking tour but I will highly recommend it. It's also nice to know that Mumbai Magic take none of the 800 rupee cost of the tour. This is instead given to the tour guides who are all students and use the money to fund their studies. If you are even half considering doing this tour, take my advice and do it with Mumbai Magic. You won't be sorry!

We did the Jewish Heritage tour in Mumbai. The tour was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide (Vinita) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Jewish history in Mumbai. The tour started on time and was even able to visit few other places which are not part of the schedule like the DobhiGhat and Dabbhawala etc., The logistics information were provided on time and I highly appreciate all the tour coordinators who worked with me. I will recommend your company to everyone. Thanks!
