Spent two nights in Warsaw and really wanted to learn more about this incredible city. Having previously taken walking tours in other cities in Europe we searched for tours and came across the Orange Umbrella company. First up we met Magda who took us through Old town Warsaw. Magda was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and super friendly the tour lasted approximately 2 hours and it was packed with history. Following the tour Magda shared some great places to visit in the City especially food locations. We enjoyed Magdas tour so much we signed up for the next tour called Jewish Warsaw, this tour was slightly longer. Magda was fantastic, a long walk with a couple of locations to take the weight of your feet. You can’t help be moved hearing the heroic efforts made by so many in such terrible times. The final tour we took was early today and we had the pleasure of meeting Maks! Maks took us on the best of Warsaw tour and he was brilliant, knowledgable with some great humour thrown in. If you are visiting Warsaw I would highly recommend the Orange Umbrella company both Magda and Maks are a credit to the company and the country of Poland educating visitors on its incredible history.

I was on a tour Best of Warsaw with Ms.Gośka. I have visited 4 similar tours around the Europe, but this one was the best. 2,5 hours passed like a second. It was a pleasure to discover Warśaw with Ms. Gośka. She has excellent sense of humour, approach to the people and of course knowledge about the city and its history. Ms. Gośka hope you will read this review. It was really cool excursion. Thank you a lot, I would like to have a friend like you are. Best wishes and hugs from Ukraine!

A very insightful tour with Gawel. The wealth of knowledge, area we covered, the detail, and recommendations were all fantastic! Great way to learn about the history of the city, especially when your time is limited.

Gawel gave a very interesting and detailed historical tour of the old town from it's construction, through it's growth and development during the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, it's destruction during WW2 and it's recent reconstruction. Gawel interacted with the audience in very good English, showed detailed maps and photos and answered questions. He stayed later for questions and restaurant recommendations.

The day in which we picked to do this tour was nothing short of awful. It was freezing, raining and generally dull however our tour guide Gośka managed to warm us all with her incredible energy and attitude while helping us navigate through Warsaw's interesting, and unfortunate, past. The rain, cold and wet did not phase her at all. She radiated energy and knowledge and you could tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. This was not my first time in Poland, but it was my first time in Warsaw. She made the experience memorable with her strong attitude, kindness and eagerness to spread her knowledge. Thank you Gośka! Please be sure to leave her a generous tip - she more than deserves it!

I joined Best of Warsaw walking tour by Max. It was freezing cold day and could have suffered a lot from the weather. However Max explained lots of interesting thing in Warsaw and I forgot that it was that cold. It took 2 hours but it seems like 20 minutes only because it was really interesting with great explanation by Max. I learned a lot about Warsaw and want to join other walking tours from Orange Umbrella Free Tour. Really appreciate to Max that he showed great passion to us and made me feel more interested in Warsaw. Thank you very much

Great tour and great concept!! Just hopped in when I saw the tourguide walking near me with a bunch of people behind her. At first you hesitate a little, but once you join she immediately includes you into the group and you feel welcome right away. The tour itself was really nice too, and she explained a lot about the old part of Warsaw and is always open for additional questions. And at the end there is an option to give the guide a tip for the tour, even by bankcard! Really comment this tour!

Gawel is a fantastic story teller and tour guide! He was very clear in his communication and shared the facts very well and kept the group hooked to his story telling . Looking through warsaw history through the lens of his story was beautiful and insightful at the same time. Highly recommend and absolutely enjoyed the walking tour.

I had Goska as a guide. You can tell his love and enthusiasm for the city! But he also dares to openly address problems and cast a critical eye on the current situation in the country. I learned a lot and had a great tour.

The Jewish Ghetto tour is a must when visiting Warsaw! Albert was an excellent guide! He started the tour providing a general overview of the Jewish community in Europe throughout time in order for us to understand why Warsaw is so important for them. Albert connected past and present very well. I particularly appreciated how he drew parallels between the rise of fascism almost 100 years ago and the far right discourse that is creeping throughout Europe today. Best tour I've ever done. 110% recommended! ✨

Gawel was an amazing guide. I went on both the Old Town Tour and The Jewish Warsaw Tour. He was always making small jokes, and provide interesting historical context to every spot we visited. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He also gave nice recommendations on Polis dishes to try and other spots worth visiting in the city. This was the highlight of my Warsaw trip.

Great tour of Old Town with Gawel. He gave us an overview, got us oriented and then shared both history of Poland/Warsaw and his love of history. I then did the Warsaw Ghetto tour with Gawel in the afternoon. Even better. He had such tremendous pictures and knowledge. Loved learning from Gawel.

I went to a guided tour around the Old Town of Warsaw and it was just amazing! Albert, the guide, is Polish and he was super enthusiastic about the history of Poland. I still can’t believe it was for free 🥹

Went on the WWII tour today and it was pretty great. Initially I planned to go on another tour, but glad I went on this one. The guide shared a lot of historical facts and interesting stories and made sure to keep everyone interested and comfortable, even despite cold weather:) Thanks again!

We attended the Jewish History and WW2 tour - both of them guided by Albert. They were fantastic. Albert, the guide, made it quite interesting and helped to imagine Warsaw in the 1900s. I can highly recommend booking a tour! 10/10 - would do it again! :)

I had both the World War 2 tour with Arek and the Jewish Tour with Galew. I really enjoyed both the trips. What surprised me the most is that despite being free, both tours were really accurate and studied in deep. The guides were passionate about their work. Really two great tours, I recommend them!

I really love this initiative. It is really helpful to, first of all, get to know around the city but also understand the historical background of Warsaw. I had studied it before, but having a concise explanation right at the places where things occured is really great. I highly recommend this. Thanks to Albert for his willingness and making heavy historical events accessible to everyone, as well as explaining things that sound complicated in a simple and humour - tainted way

Great Experience! Our tour guide Max was awesome. He is well informed, patient and thorough. It was storming on an off throughout the tour but he managed to keep everyone on board! No one gave up! And i'm so glad I stayed because really ever part of this tour was important and totally worth it. I had a better experience with Max then I've had with other tour guides. Anyway, highly recommend!

Gawel is an absolutely amazing and exceptionally talented tour guide; he's very knowledgeable about Polish architecture, history, and culture, and he's really good at interacting with tourists. In other words, he's able to make you listen to him because he knows how to tell stories, legends, and even historical facts in an interesting and thought-provoking way. Thank you for the incredibly engrossing and truly valuable experience, Gawel! 😊

My group and I had two different umbrellas free tour and we could not enjoy much. Albert was a very good, expert and communicative guide that lead us for the history of Waraw and Jewish history. Even with the cold was a pleasant and worth it time. Definitely recommend!

Our guide Max took us on a 2,5h Old Town tour through the old city center of Warsaw. Although the weather conditions were absolutely adverse for a city tour we still had a great time. Would do the tour again for sure. Thanks Max!

Recommend Orange Umbrella 100%. We booked our first private tour in Warsaw through the website and had immediate response and a curated plan Our tour guide Arek was incredibly knowledgeable on the long history of Warsaw, had detailed information with visual guides and took extremely considerate care of my mother and I on the walking tour (got us water, answered question after question, shared suggestions for the rest of our stay and was truly so kind). We would definitely book again. (photos below taken with consent)

Had great tour experiences with Gawel. We did the Old town tour & WW II tour and we enjoyed it so much. He is very informative. He brought lots of photo to show us what is was like in those days comparing to what we see today. It made it such an impressive experience. Definitely recommend!
