A must visit for burger lovers! We were a bit skeptical to go inside this little hole in the wall at a street some paces away from the heart of Prague old town. But I'm really glad we did. Let's start with the amazing vibes of this place. As soon as go in we realized this place is quite different from what we encountered in this city up until now. Firstly, the place is heavily designed with 50s Americana decor, most of the times this kind of design is a bit much, but somehow here they managed to achieve the escape from the day to day life they tried to. Secondly, the great live performance, which started before we arrived and did not ended even up until we left, added a nice touch to the same 50s all american dinner, and the singer was actually pretty good which is rare nowadays. Last but not least, and probably the most important part - every waiter greeted us all with a large smile, they were always there to ask if we need anything, and it took no more than 2 minutes for the first round of the home beers to be on the table. Now let's continue with the burger. I think it's really hard to find a decent burger in a country abroad especially in a city so touristy such as Prague. But they absolutely nailed it here. We ordered the Jimmy Handrix burger one of their Chokers menu which is two patties (about 220 gr each) with cheddar cheese and two stripes of bacon and an amazing chilly sauce and fresh home fries. The burgers arrived for the whole table in a spot-on medium state, they were juicy delicious with a little spicy touch, combined with a massive amount of freshly cut french fries makes this absolutely stunning dish we didn't want to end. To sum it all up, Sad Man's Tongue is our new favorite place in Prague, do yourself a favor and go there, we will surly be back soon:)

One off the most pleasant dining Experiences I had in a long time. The owner personally welcomes every guest. The Staff is charming, and seem to enjoy what they are doing. Also there's live music. That been said... the food is simply incredible and reasonably priced. 100% would dine again!!!!

This place is incredible. The atmosphere is super cool and the service is great and friendly. Started with Buffalo and barbecue wings. I consider myself a wing connoisseur and these were some of the best wings I’ve had ever. To top that off, the Jimi Hendrix burger was quite the challenge to eat, but worth every bite. I never thought that I’d be eating one of my favorite American meals in Prague. If you want amazing food and a great eating experience, come here.

This place is a must stop in Prague. The food is incredible. I got the choker series and it was fantastic. But even better than that, the service is the best I have ever had. Me and my friends stopped here first in Prague and they spent 10 minutes making a list of the best things to do while here.

The burgers are just okish. The potatoes are quite good but the burgers could be better. Their neighbors have better burgers but worse fries. The staff was nice and the place itself is also nice. Overall, I don't think those are the best burgers in town.

A fantastic place! I loved "The Jimi Hendrix" burger so much that I took countless photos of it :)) The owner and staff are super friendly and the beers are great! We tried a bacon wrapped cheese bite and it was out of this world, you gotta try it!

Fantastic Spot. We entered and headed downstairs to be greeted with great music & lovely welcoming staff. We had the pleasure of an absolutely fantastic waitress Clara who looked after us throughout our stay. She checked in with us regularly and made sure everything was good. The BBQ Jumbo wings were incredible. Best we've ever had - anywhere in the world! Don't skip on these! Chokers/Burgers were equally as good. And those tasty skin-on Fries to accompany those moist, juicy burgers were also beaut! If around this area in Prague - this place is a must. Fantastic Food & Service. Clara deserves a payrise!!

What can I say!!! Amazing food, amazing service. So they forgot and accidentally didn't put our order through, the patron was open honest and got a round for the table, excellent to service. I personally don't care they made a mistake but owning it and being honest is a trait this place must keep. The food exceptional, but for the spice phobic be warned. I love this place, love the staff love the food. Just brilliant! Don't change!!!!!!

The place has a great vibe to it, the food is great, executed professionally, the bun held its own and was not reduced to mush despite being seriously challenged with toppings. Chips and burger spot on!

Awesome experience. Not a fan of burgers myself but went here as we saw the high rating. Boy, were we glad we dropped by! Staff was very pleasant and friendly, great service! Food was also very tasty. Burgers weren't anything special but their fries and buffalo chicken tenders were extremely amazing! Definitely thought of going back for the remaining night we had in Prague.. unfortunately, they were closed for those days.. definitely extremely glad then that we got to visit it when we did! Will definitely miss this joint back home. Now one of my fave restaurants.

She was so attentive to us, offered to change the burger which was a bit spicy and I was literally crying haha and while we were waiting she gave us some cherry shots as a compliment. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sad Man's Tongue, a bar and restaurant located in the heart of Prague. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported back to the 1950s and 60s, with vintage Americana decor and a jukebox playing classic rock and roll tunes. The burgers at Sad Man's Tongue were definitely good. While they may not have been the most innovative or gourmet burgers I've ever had, they were cooked to perfection and hit the spot on a hungry stomach. The fries were also crispy and well-seasoned, making for a satisfying meal overall. In addition to the food, the drinks at Sad Man's Tongue were top-notch. The bar has a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and skilled in mixing up some delicious drinks. I particularly enjoyed the "Sad Man's Sling," a refreshing cocktail made with wild turkey 101 whiskey. Overall, I had a great time at Sad Man's Tongue. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the food and drinks were both solid choices. If you're in the mood for a casual, laid-back meal with a retro vibe, this is definitely the place to go.

Great bar, excellent staff and service! Had a great time. Great Pub foods! Only thing is the toilet (mens) were a bit haggard! 😸 Came in at around 10pm stayed till closed at 2am. Met some great people enjoying the pub. Everyone was nice. Ladies I am told you should leave something behind to remember👙when you come, look up above the bar🤘🏽

Nice place and nice food. People working there are very polite and they fit perfect in the theme of the restaurant. However the main course came to to fast. We where still enjoying appetisers. So you feel a bit rushed in this place. However. Food was very nice and they offer a small schnaps when paying the bill. Nobody ever says no to that 😁! PS; very funny descriptions of the food🤣!

What a fantastic place. Despite what it may seem, this place is not really a tourist trap. While it is pricey for Prague, the burgers are excellent. The quality of the meat is great, and all items on the menu are thoughtfully designed. We had the Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin burgers and both were exactly as ordered. The Kurt had a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg and Janis had amazing spice and balance. You can order your burger how you like it cooked. The fries are double friend and exceptionally crispy. Well worth the trip and money.

Some of the greatest burgers you'll ever eat. Every time I visit Prague, I come to this place. Every time I've having a great time. I introduced this place to a dozen people by now and everyone loves it. Good food, good service.

We had two burgers & beer here. The burgers were pretty tasty. The fries on side are crispy & they have a garlic mayo sauce on side. It was delicious. The staff are friendly & welcoming. They will let you know the options with beverages & food. One thing is that if you are planning to go there on lunch time you may not find an empty table. So 12-15 the place is quite busy & packed. One of the guys there, the one with mohawk - he was a very nice guy, told us to come back at about 3.45 & then we were sited. To me that waiting was worth it.

Excellent atmosphere and great food. One of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. We ordered a Chika chika boom and a danish blue cheese burgers. Absolutely delicious. Also tried the burger shop next door on the same street but didn’t enjoy as much as Sad Mans’. Definitely eat another when I visit Prague. 10/10 PS: They also offer a free shot of liquor before you leave. Special thanks to the staff

I cannot recommend this place more. Do not leave Prague until you’ve paid this diner a visit! Not only are the burgers exquisite (get the double bacon or their infamous double patty one and make sure you get the cheesy onion rings, they’re a must!), but the staff and namely the manager are warm, kind and professional. Dining experience like this, where you feel like the staff and manager genuinely want you to have a great experience, are few and far in between. Give this spot a try and thank me late ;)

Lovely! We had such a nice time during our stay at Prague and our last stop was this awesome bar & bistro. You simply must order their onion rings, they're mega-sized, cheesy and absolutely decadent. The crunch is simply perfect and you will find yourself ordering another plate before even finishing the first. Apart from them, the burgers are simply immaculate. But be aware - their "mildly spicy" food is not for the faint of heart. Their mild spice includes jalapeños. Their cocktails are also mighty fine and with a quite decent percentage of alcohol. We wholeheartedly recommend this amazing no-nonsense no-reservation (don't worry, they have a waiting room!) bar. Every single employee is incredibly kind and helpful and also hot. In conclusion, we were blown out of our shoes, will come again! :)
