The bartenders really helped us out with the drinks and let us know what we should have based on our taste preferences, and the owners were really friendly and talked to us and gave tips about our trip, and even drank shots with us! I have been visiting Prague very often for the past five years, and Balbi bar is the first place I can call my absolute favourite. The owners and the staff make you feel like a VIP with their friendliness from the moment you step through the door. They also have amazing drinks, and if you don't know what you are in the mood for, Honza the bar man will go above and beyond to create your own special one just for you. The only danger is that you don't want to leave the place once you're there. The crowd is usually young and mixed between locals and expats from all over the world. A great place to go on a date, or to relax and make new friends.

Very nice bar in the old part of the town. The bartender was very young, very kind and skillful. We enjoyed our nigh here and tried a couple of different cocktails (some of the world most popular ones and some of the specials from the bar).

I recommend to just tell them the kind of cocktail you like (fruity, rum based, ...) and let them create something. They know what they are doing and the result was in my case very delicious. I LOVE that it's topped with a delicate flower. Additionally, when I went, it was just after opening and the owner brought out small complimentary bowls of chips for the few of us who were there. It was a nice gesture and definitely not the kind of customer service I've grown accustomed to in the Czech Republic. They go above and beyond!
